Change the side you part your hair

Ok. I have had a long day and I currently have Covid (I know, 2026 and it finally got me). I went to wash my face and I flipped my hair the opposite way. I was pleasantly surprised by how much nicer it looked. Why haven’t I tried it this way before? Maybe you should just try the other side? (Don’t ask me for the middle. Its a nightmare)

Professor issue

I am currently in graduate school. I have CP. I have a professor who suggested in the syllabus that students go a day without speaking so that they can have the lived experience of someone with a disability. I emailed her and pointed out that I found this pretty offensive and reductive of the disabled experience. Going one day without speaking in no way gives you any idea of lived experience. Anyway, I don’t think she appreciated it and ever since when she has been pretty snarky when grading my work. She commented on my Disability advocacy assignment that I didn’t make a case to connect it to personal experience. I guess I just have to suck it up until the end semester but I’m getting pretty frustrated.

Edit: The ironic part is that this for my masters in social work so the professor is a licensed social worker.

Financial aid

I called last week and they said I was all set. I just needed my pending aid to post. Then today, all my aid disappeared and they tried to charge me 3 grand. I don’t know what’s going on

MSW first semester

I finished my first semester of MSW program. I have cerebral pals. I broke my femur in February. Then passed a kidney stone, got an antibiotic resistant infection, and sepsis. Despite this I managed to finish with a 4.0. Woohoo! I was worried that I am too old for this (I’m 37). Just a reminder you can always learn something new.
