Looking for couch co-op game recommendations for a non-gamer

My partner has been curious about gaming lately so I figured this is the perfect chance to finally crack open some couch co-op titles together. The catch: they're a complete beginner — never really played games beyond the occasional mobile thing.

I'm looking for games that are:
• Easy to pick up (simple controls, forgiving difficulty)
• Fun for both of us, not just the experienced player babysitting

Bonus points if it's something that gradually eases you into more complex mechanics so they can build confidence over time.

how we pulled 52k+ local business leads in one run using google places api. the grid approach nobody talks about

most people doing local lead gen hit the same wall. you search google maps, get 20 results, maybe 60 if you paginate. that's it.

the workaround that actually worked for us: divide the target region into a grid and query each cell separately via the official places api. dense areas auto split into smaller sub grids. sparse areas skip splitting to save quota. end result was 52k+ businesses across an entire country in one job.

why this matters for growth:

- you're not limited by what google surfaces in the top results

- data is clean and structured straight from the source — phone, website, rating, hours, coordinates

- pair it with an n8n workflow and everything lands in google sheets automatically, zero manual work

- no scraping, no proxies, no maintenance headaches

for anyone doing outbound growth this basically removes the list building bottleneck entirely. instead of spending days sourcing leads you can have a complete list for any niche in any region in one run.

curious if anyone else has experimented with places api for growth or found other creative ways to build targeted local lists

trying to figure out if we can actually sell this thing my friend built

so my friend spent the last few months building a lead gen tool and i'm helping him try to sell it. we've never sold software before so documenting this as we go.

what it does: pulls business data from google's official places api using a grid system. regular google maps search gives you 20-60 results max. this splits any region into grid cells and queries each one separately. ran it on germany, got 52k+ businesses in one job. phone, website, ratings, hours, coordinates — all clean, exports to csv, n8n workflow pushes everything to google sheets automatically.

where we're at right now:

- posted in a few subreddits to gauge interest

- getting decent engagement, some people asking questions

- one guy said he'd pay $200-400, we think that's too low

- no idea what the right price is honestly

- no idea where our actual buyer is hanging out

what we're trying to figure out:

- one time purchase vs saas

- whether to sell the tool itself or pivot to done-for-you lead lists

- where to find people who'd actually pay good money for this

going to keep updating this thread as things progress. has anyone sold a tool like this before? what did the first sale actually look like?

Qurbani wasn’t meant to be a flex.

Some years ago, Qurbani was simple. You’d go to the mandi, the seller would point to a healthy animal and say, “This one’s strong, it’s good.” That was enough. No flashy names, no drama. Just a quiet act of worship.

Then came the boom of social media. And slowly, things changed. Now in Karachi and beyond, Qurbani isn’t about sacrifice—it’s about spectacle. Youtubers film ‘exclusive’ animals with dramatic names like Oblak, Nakra, Gulabi Cholistani, turning them into celebrities. The spirit of humility was replaced with hashtags and views.

It became less about pleasing Allah, and more about impressing people.

The saddest part? The middle class, the poor, the quiet, decent families—the ones who hold this Sunnah close to their hearts—are being pushed out. Prices soar, the show grows, and the very people for whom Qurbani brought joy now watch from the sidelines.

And we still call this ibadat?

Somewhere between the YouTube thumbnails and TikTok reels, we lost the essence. Qurbani wasn’t meant to be a flex. It was meant to be faith.

is there a real market for a google places api based lead gen tool?

my friend built something that solves a pretty specific problem. google maps caps you at 20-60 results per search which is useless if you're trying to build a comprehensive business list for a whole city or country.

the fix he came up with is a grid system that divides any region into cells and queries each one separately via google's official places api. dense areas auto split into smaller grids, sparse ones skip it to save quota. tested it on germany and got 52k+ businesses in one run.

data per business is solid. phone, website, ratings, hours, coordinates, business status. n8n workflow then filters and pushes everything to google sheets automatically.

the question is — is this a real startup or just a useful tool? who would actually pay for this and what's the right model:

- one time purchase (buy the tool outright)

- saas with monthly credits

- done for you (we run the jobs, sell the lists)

target buyers would be cold email agencies, local marketing agencies, anyone doing outbound at scale

what do you think — real opportunity or too niche?

how are you guys building local business lead lists for cold outreach?

been struggling with the usual options. apollo is meh for local businesses, buying lists feels like a waste, outscraper adds up fast.

started experimenting with google's places api directly and honestly getting way better coverage than i expected. curious if anyone else is doing something similar or found a better approach for targeting local businesses specifically?

what's actually working for you guys for list building right now?

Would you pay for a Google Maps scraper that pulls 52,000+ business leads with one click?

My friend built a Google Maps scraper tool and we're thinking of selling it as a one-time purchase. Before we do anything, I want opinions from people who actually know this space.

What it does:

Web-based UI: You enter a place type (e.g. "clothing store") and a location (city, country, anywhere)

It divides the entire region into a grid and scrapes each cell systematically, so you get near-complete coverage. not just the top 20 results Google shows

One job scraped 52,000+ clothing stores across all of Germany

Data per business includes: name, address, phone, website, rating, review count, coordinates, opening hours, business status, Google Maps link, place type

Everything's exportable as CSV

Also comes with an n8n workflow that automatically filters and pushes results to Google Sheets and can be adapted for other use cases too

What I genuinely want to know:

  1. Is there actually demand for something like this, or is the market too crowded?

  2. Who would be the ideal buyer — marketing agencies, sales teams, freelancers?

  3. Where would you sell it? (Flippa, CodeCanyon, direct outreach, Reddit itself?)

  4. Is the one-time fee model attractive or do buyers expect ongoing support and updates?

  5. Any red flags we're not seeing?

  6. What would YOU pay for something like this? I'd genuinely love to hear your take.

Married men of Reddit, what's the one thing nobody actually prepares you for?

Not looking for doom and gloom either. Just the honest stuff. the things you had to figure out on your own that you wish someone had just told you beforehand. Could be small, could be huge

Does PC Game Pass Ultimate actually include Forza advanced access?

Google is giving me mixed signals on this. Some places say it's included with Game Pass Ultimate but then it mentions having to purchase the Premium Add Ons Bundle separately which is confusing.

Can anyone who's been through this clarify? Would really appreciate it before I spend anything!
