New To Tolle

Im currently listening to The Power of Now. I am middle aged and have struggled my whole life with depression and anxiety. I’ve come to realize it stems from my complete inability to live in the present, and my decades of practice finding ways to avoid being in the moment. I have been relentlessly sad about the past and future to the detriment of the present moment. Even with medication and therapy, these issues persist.

i am finding this book incredibly helpful. Does anyone have more resources that could go along to help me in learning to live presently, to let go of anger, to let go of sadness over things I cannot control? Audiobooks, podcasts and videos would be great. Thank you.

This entire blog is basically “what if peepee was poopoo”

This gentleman works for an extremely influential fund who loves spending money thinking about how robots will kill us.

But here’s the thing - if you actually read the whole thing, you‘ll get to his “resources“ list, which is just a who‘s who of AI-pilled freaks or grifters. He constantly lays out apocalypti, sci-fi scenarios quickly followed by “I don’t know if this will actually happen,” and then provides a reading list of nothing but apocalyptic reading.

I think a lot of people were severely damaged by covid, then one-shotted by AI and the rest of us have to listen to these ideas spouted over and over and over again as if the writer is the first person to blog about them.

Pray for the CEOs

Is this….

Basically, between 70-80% of CEOs (out of 900 Surveyed) are shitting bricks about AI investments paying off this year.

Honestly this will be something to see. I haven’t heard of a single way any company has gauged AI benefit outside of “generating more lines of code.” Do we think most companies will somehow find a way to not only be successful with AI tools, but also measure that?

Hey all - doc put me on testosterone gel about 6 months ago or so, I’m 44 and test was down in the 230’s. I’ve noticed some decent gains and mood boosts, which is great, but looking to level up.

I know gel may not be the most efficient delivery method, but what can I do along with this to boost test and/or get better results? I’m just looking to keep getting stronger but stay lean-ish. I‘m 5’10” at around 180lbs.

This is probably a low effort post, but this sentence fuckin’ rockss

“AI is accelerating business value — particularly when it comes to mission-critical data and applications on the mainframe.

In an upcoming IBM Tech Summit webinar, I’m joined by Richard Baird, Senior Vice President and CTO, Core Enterprise and zCloud at Kyndryl to discuss…”

My man is CTO of zCloud at Kyndryl!

What is this fucking world? What are we all doing? Is it true that AI is “accelerating business value?” What in the hell DOES THAT MEAN? How is it accelerating the value of a business PARTICULARLY when it comes to mission-critical data? Do any of these words have meaning?

WHAT THE FUCK IS ANYONE TALKING ABOUT

This seems really crucial to be aware of.

A big reason why social media companies have been allowed to run wild with few consequences is that they could shirk responsibility for much of the harm their “products” create. We can’t let these stupid AI companies get that protection.

If they’re held accountable for mistakes and damage their products create, insurance companies will hopefully continue resisting covering work produced by LLMs.

God. Fuck these people.

Look at this absolute twat.

I guess I needed a jolt of rage to get my day going because I have no idea why else I would have clicked this godforsaken link.

Here we have Andrew Yang confidently saying that “AI” is already replacing lawyers and accountants because those jobs are very “rules-based,” regardless of the fact that lawyers do more than just look shit up on Google.

My favorite part is when the credulous host asks for an example of a job that will be safe from AI for a while.

His answer?

Cleaning hotel rooms.

So you heard it here folks, forget law school, don’t become a CPA, and instead get in line for a job at the Hilton while they’re still available. I’m sure an Optimus robot will be scrubbing toilets in no time, though.

- Says Yuval Harari.

DO THESE PEOPLE NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT AN “AGENT” IS? Or are they just surviving on clicks?

Seriously, how can any adult who has read anything about how this shit works say without any degree of shame that a little computer program is going to be a person? Because I gave it access to my Gmail account?

This is not only the most annoying bubble, the most worthless technology, and the worst investment, but it has brought out the dumbest motherfuckers on earth who just can’t wait to say something that makes someone dumber across the table go “wooooaahhh.”

This shit sucks.
