Confused on how to use warehouse shipping /Australia

Hey guys, I'm a bit confused regarding warehouse shipping for taobao items that are only available within China.

I'm aware you have to set the address to the warehouse when you place your order however after that I'm confused.

How do you transfer money to the warehouse for separate shipping charges?

And what's the most reliable warehouse to use as someone in Australia? And whats the shipping time usually?

Any clear or step by step instructions would be much appreciated thank you!!

How to check if my unit credits will help me complete my degree?

Im a business administration student and took Eng1021 on a whim because I was getting kind of bored of taking business related flexible units.

I'm allowed to take any level flexible units for my degree but the fee for Eng1021 is only 500$ Vs the 2000$ for my other units.

I just wanna get in touch my a counsellor or someone who can assure me that the units I took are going towards my degree.

I did try searching a bit, but I'm lost honestly. Would appreciate any help on how I can do this?

Cheers

Nikon Coolpix s9900 Australia

I've been genuinely looking for this camera here in Australia with no luck, since most of them are 500+ AUD despite being secondhand.

This subreddit is my last hope

If anyone is selling this camera in a cheaper price and you're based in Australia

I would be most grateful if u reached out

Cheers

Genuine Question: How much would you pay for these bags?

Hey everyone! I've recently been seeing a rise these sort of bag styles. And I've been thinking of selling these at those market stalls, however I really want to know honestly what price you'd pay for them?

Ignoring the fact that whether they're handmade or not because honestly at my current level of financial status , I honestly don't have the ability to upcharge stuff just because they're handmade and loose out on potential buyers.

I'm just honestly looking for honest answers here

Apologies if this isn't the right subreddit for this!

Thank you!

Need camera recommendations

I currently have the Nikon coolpix S5100. Ideally a Fujifilm X series camera would be great but unfortunately I'm only willing to spend around 300-400 AUD at the moment. My Nikon is great however I'm looking for something with 16MP, zoom of atleast 18-20X, HD 1040 video, Great light sensitivity and something with vibrant colors.Stabilisation is also something I struggle with currently in my Nikon. I've shortlisted a few in no particular order, but I'm open to recommendations as well :

  1. Sony cybershot wx350

  2. Canon PowerShot SX610 HS

  3. Nikon Coolpix S9900

Open to any recommendations!!

Budget: 300-400 AUD

Country: Australia

Intended use: Hybrid between personal/landscape photography

Must Haves: Vibrancy, Stabilisation, 16MP, ZOOM 18-20X and HD 1040 Video quality

Condition: Used

Type of camera: I'm ok with any

What features would be nice to have: Light Sensitivity esp in night photography

Cameras I already have: Nikon Coolpix S5100

Portability: Point and shoot size like Canon g7x would be fine, no larger than that

If video what style: No preference

If photography what style: Landscape but also self portraits

Macquarie Group internship phone interview

I have a phone interview with the Macquarie Group for market services - operations, for an internship. My thing is, while I'm great at writing and completing tasks, I suck at verbal communication. I was wondering if anyone would have any tips? and maybe an insight into what potential questions they could ask? Thanks

Someone pls help me genuinely decode this email from service connect inquiries (bonus points if ur a lecturer/tutor)

So I'm currently in my second year of bachelor of business administration and recently learned that for my 10 flexible units I may have restrictions on how many 1000/2000/3000 level units I can take especially 1000 level units. I emailed Service Connect regarding this and this is what they replied with:

Thank you for your enquiry.

To complete you Bachelor of Business, it is important that you follow your course handbook.

Once you complete all of the units within your Core Zone, including Major, and Flexible Zone, you should have met the Bachelor of Business requirements with 240 credit points.

Your Flexible Zone can be used to complete any Undergraduate unit for which you meet the requisites, regardless of unit level.

For further advice, I recommend seeking Course Guidance. This can help you understand and plan your studies to make sure you're on the right path.
....

so does this mean I can take 1000 level units for all 10 flexible units? Because usually people can only take 10 1000 level units across both core and flexible units however since it says regardless of unit level, I can just keep taking 1000 unit levels right? Im way too tired to think straight rn someone pls help thanks

Racism in UK Vs Aus

I made a post before regarding my consideration of moving to UK from AUS (feel free to check it out). I'm a uni student who moved to Aus and for 2 years now I've been pretty much going in and out of misery due to some factors U can find in my last post.

However what I wanna discuss in this post is the racism in UK Vs Aus like can we talk about it? In my 2 years of being in Aus I've experienced more racism than I would have liked to have, living in a major city such as Sydney too. It's like racism in Aus cuts deeper than you would think, it's just deadlier for some reason and it f's with Ur mind for a good few days after. I'm talking specially about racism from white aussie ppl, (ik not everyone is like that I'm just talking about a few ppl who make it worse for others).

I'm a brown person, and thankfully never experienced racism before coming to Sydney. Its like silent racism is so widespread here and normalised. Being looked down upon, being isolated from groups and getting silently judged are just a few ways I've seen how weirdly integrated racism is.

However when I experience racism in the UK it just doesn't feel as heavy for some reason, like at all? You're more than likely to get verbally profiled in UK but honestly when that happens I think 'yeah ok whatever' and get on with my day without thinking too much about it. You're also most likely never gonna get silently profiled which I think is a major factor in why I never felt ostracized in the UK despite it being an English country Vs Australia which is actually an Aboriginal country.

What are your thoughts on this? Anyone who's felt way as well before?

Stay in AUS or move to UK?

I've currently moved to Sydney as a university student and while Sydney is amazing with it's public transport system, resources and weather, I've been miserable since 2 years now. Australia is great for someone who enjoys a suburban lifestyle however it's still a very boring and grey lifestyle, everything closes at 5-6 pm, people are pretty closed off and prefer to remain in established friend groups and don't even get me started on the rent. Of course there are alot more problems I've faced here such as non-verbal racism (Australia is generally still pretty racist even if ppl don't admit it that much).

Now a few months back I had an opportunity to visit the UK and live there for a few weeks and what a change! People are so friendly, multiculturalism has been part of UK for decades so I never got any really weird looks which made me feel so much at ease, everything was so colourful and night life existed. Now obviously racism is still a pretty big part of the UK, I mean it's litr the UK, but for some reason I never felt that way. Maybe I could have a more distorted view on this since I experienced UK as a visitor and not a citizen.

For some background information my family's been connected with UK for generations. My dad used to live there as a kid, my great grandad used to work for British railways, I also gave the gces since I come from a country that was an old colony etc etc. (I'm basically implying assimilation would be pretty easy)

The best way I can explain what I'm feeling is that I think for me the people and culture is what really matters when moving somewhere. But I do want to know what everyone's experience and thoughts are here since in general Australia's livability is ranked higher than the UKs. Keeping in mind the job market, culture, people, housing markets etc.

Confusion regarding flexible units I can take with unit levels

Hey everyone so recently I got to know that for flexible units you're only allowed to take certain amounts of levels to complete them, like for example limited 1000,2000 and 3000 level units. I submitted an inquiry regarding this for my specific degree (business administration) and this is the feedback I received : To complete you Bachelor of Business, it is important that you follow your course handbook.

Once you complete all of the units within your Core Zone, including Major, and Flexible Zone, you should have met the Bachelor of Business requirements with 240 credit points.

Your Flexible Zone can be used to complete any Undergraduate unit for which you meet the requisites, regardless of unit level.

....

So does this mean I can take 1000 level units to complete all my flexible units or do I have to take 2000 and 3000 too?

Disheartening to see boho shops selling south Asian clothing without labelling them as such

I love whenever anyone wears 'boho' clothing don't get me wrong, I'm particularly talking about these huge brands such as tree of life. All the clothes are South Asian inspired or even fully South Asian. The clothes are beautiful however it's really REALLY weird these huge brands label them as 'boho' and benefit from their profits while completely removing any 'ethnic' labels from it. Especially in a time where South Asian hate is so widespread in Australia. What are you thoughts on this? Even a simple label such as 'Inspired by South Asian patterns' would positively boast appreciation for a culture which in turn is a part of a bigger scale of social coherence. Sorry about the rant lol but clothing has always been about making ppl feel good and not taking advantage of industry workers esp since these clothes probably come from exploited workers
