Hello, everyone. My name is Alex, and I'm urgently looking for a role in Minneapolis as a legal administrative assistant or in a generalized office assistant position. I have 2 years of experience in general office/admin support, 1 of which was at a law firm specializing in civil litigation and professional liability defense, performing duties adjacent to their LAA team.

I am seeking full time employment, at an ideal rate of $20-$22/ hour. Health coverage is a must. If you are hiring, or work for a firm that is hiring, my DMs are open!

I just got a Red Card, trying to sign up to do grocery orders and stuff like that. The app says I need to put in a "Delight Number" from the card, but I have no idea what that is. There are a bunch of different numbers on the card, so I guess I'll just try putting them all in one at a time, but it's very weird that if DoorDash requires this, they don't explain what it is at all or where to find it.

I have been thinking for a while about my career, and where I'd like to go from where I am. For context, I have served in general office services for legal and financial firms for the last few years, but my time working in a legal setting has been the highlight of my career so far. I would like to move from generalized office services to a more specialized role as an LAA, and use that experience to eventually pursue a certification, and then a B.A. in Paralegal Studies. However, my current degree is simply an A.A.S. in an unrelated field, and I sadly don't have the financial backing to pursue a higher level degree at this time.

My question is for any paralegals/legal assistants who have familiarity with the field and the basic requirements of the role. If I have considerable experience in office services, including printing, trial exhibition assembly, archival scanning, mail management, scheduling, confidentiality requirements, et cetera, along with (admittedly extremely basic) knowledge of programs like LexisNexis and iManage, do you think that would be sufficient to pursue an entry level role as a legal assistant, to springboard into the industry and gain some basic experience before pursuing further education?

Secondly, if there is anyone who WAS in my position, are there any free or very affordable resources you can recommend for crash courses on things like the legal process, filing, et cetera? I have been doing research to familiarize myself with the basic terminology, as my experience so far is more general support.

Hi all, I had someone show up in my DMs today pulling a classic art commission fraud. I saw I only had one server in common, and I told the server admins of that server so they could ban the user. However, I would like to add this user to a list of banned users for the servers I am admin in, just to keep my server safe. However, they are not currently in any of my servers. Is there a field where I can put their user ID that will prevent them from ever joining my servers?

I have a Google spreadsheet that I made that has graphs, averages, stuff like that. But I'm curious as to what apps you guys like to use?
