Opinion: Drop Ship's Front Door OR Back Door?

The question is pretty simple:

So basically, you have this dropship, right? and there's a big door for transport to enter, which way do you prefer your plane to have between dropping the bridge in front of you or behind you?

Note: if someone else already ask this kind of question, I'll take the link

What did the lich casting? Fireball. When did the fighter counter it? *TURN 2.*

Apparently, the old school make combat 1 minute a round and spell only work if uninterrupted until the end of that round.

MOST spell take 3 combat phases.

"Research Clone spell & make a backup" they said, "It will be very vital contingency" they said...

Glad they made clone completely inert until you die by 3E, making your character suddenly commit suicide mid-anything is literally Gygax's wet dream.

Do Roleplay exist?

the whole question is in the title.

Consider the fact that the entirity of old school game consist of DM vs player where you're expect to waste at least a big package worth of A4 paper just to get to level 9... and expect to waste even more A4 packages to get to level 10 if you don't play cleric.

Also, by the time you hit level 10 for the very first time, you're more than likely to drop the idea of backstory altogether because of how pointless it is by this point and even stop bother calling your character name and just call it "Fighter" because it's easier and faster so why bother remember the name if they gonna die very soon, anyway?

Do old school D&D even have roleplay to begin with, let alone actually invest in their SHEET?

And a certain grognard still have an audacity to complain about too much diamond...

as of 5.5E, True Resurrection, the level 9 spell, is the ONLY revive that let you use multiple diamonds to cast it.

yes, they patch out Revivify so you can only cast with single gem.

Suddenly, redemption & forgiveness is never his goal?

5 main games, 3 side stories and 1 DLC later, people suddenly want Kratos to revert to becoming tht psychotic manchild he absolutely hate SINCE THE FIRST GAME?

ok, so, just remember that part about training to leveling up in old school, you need to find a trainer to leveling up, but what if you never found one? for an entire campaign, you never found ANY trainer at all, you got enough both combat EXP and money EXP to hit that level 10 but you can't even get to level 2.

so the question is: Had you guy EVER encounter a case where you go from "Save a cat" all the way to "Fighting Demogorgon" while still at level 1?
