Grief music

I am processing a loss. I do at home troches 500mg. When focusing on it for the first time I chose music that was a bit too ambient and droney and felt “mean”. I am wanting to focus on the loss with music that feels more uplifting but allows for depth if that makes sense.
I enjoy the sublingual sessions by Prati. This is the closest I’ve come to finding uplifting type playlists but I’m curious if anyone has recommendations for grief music.

Ten Rottweiler puppies for adoption from my moms friend - Don’t think it’s possible

My mom has a friend that runs a rescue and has ten puppies she’s adopting out. This was the photo used showcasing them for adoption. My mom sent it to me swearing it’s real because her friend “has the bite marks and nail scratches to prove it”.

I think this photo is very obviously not real, but I’m struggling to find actual proof. This community is pretty good at this kind of thing. Whatcha think? Where is the proof this isn’t real?

Edit: Okay so I’m working and can’t read every single comment but the gist I’m getting is yall want to be mean but this is a person who runs a reputable local rescue. They also posted a video of the puppies running around on the trampoline with them. This isn’t about fraud or the puppies not being real, it’s simply about proving the photo isn’t real to someone who believes it is. They have lots of people tricked by the photo on their posts online.

Grief and self harm

I’m a 31yo F about to lose my dog of 11 years. My therapy journey has been about 10 years. I’ve done it all, DBT included, and consider myself very stable, skillful, and effective as far as my BPD goes.

My dog’s passing has been tragic however it’s about as perfect as I could hope. She hasn’t even passed yet, the appointment is in several hours, but the gratitude I have felt around the time I’ve had this week and ability to do this in the ideal way is nothing short of a miracle and a blessing.

As we’ve been approaching this day, I’ve been feeling it all. I took off work all week(I work in pet cremation… taking her after the appointment) and have just been with my girl. But the feelings are getting intense and they’re getting so intense and so physical I’m wanting to act on it and self harm and my suicidal ideations are going through the roof.

This is very confusing for me right now. I haven’t wanted to act on feelings of self harm or had thoughts of suicide in years. And when I have had those feelings in the past, I believe they’re internal, towards myself, and rooted in self hatred. This is not that. This is deep grief that feels like I want to cut open my chest and (stopping myself because I want to get graphic but won’t).

When I open up my DBT book I was shocked to find grief isn’t an emotion with a dedicated page, so the closest thing was sadness. My sadness fits the facts perfectly. So what do I do with these feelings? Do I just feel them and not act on them? Does anyone have advice? A similar experience where they found relief in something? I’m not here for condolences, though I appreciate the sentiment. I need honest help from the only community that I feel gets me.

TLDR; Feelings of grief around losing my dog are bringing up feelings of suicide and self harm. When the feelings so clearly fit the facts, what do I do with them? Does anyone have advice/skills/help when the feelings aren’t originating from self hate but from deep grief?

▲ 93 r/AlcoholMarkers+1 crossposts

I’ve been getting in to alcohol markers and consuming more coloring content. What is up with these “viral” “trendy” coloring books that are all about “cute girls” and “cute bears” and “little shops”? I prefer more mandala and pattern style coloring, I’m just confused about why and how the online coloring community has kind of put itself into a box.

This isn’t meant to be a criticism or anything at all, just a curious discussion, especially after scrolling this sub and seeing 90% of the posts fall into this category.

Edit: legitimately confused why people downvote. If you’re gonna downvote, let me know why!
