Stupid question about Wattage and Ohms and whatnot.

Hello all,

I run my guitar rig into a Hughes and Kettner QC310 250W Bass combo which has an external speaker line out. For gigging I'd like to have an extension cab and use the combo as my monitor on stage. I currently have a 2x12 8 ohm cab with 2 70W speakers. One of the lines out connects the extension serially. For the wattage, can I safely run the combo into the extension, or is the wattage too high even when the internal speaker is also connected? Thanks in advance

Looking for a monthly music rehearsal space for rent.

My band is looking to rent a room monthly where we can rehearse, not looking for a recording studio at this point, just 4 walls and electricity with a lock on the door so we can play our music at a reasonable volume without annoying neighbors. We are not picky. Affordability is paramount.

If you know of anywhere that fits the bill, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Edit: one of us is outside JC in union county, so a bit of a drive to meet half way is okay in case anyone knows of something outside JC.

Guitar board running into a bass combo's effects loop.

Chain: Donner DT-1 Tuner > MXR Dynacomp > Boss OC-3 Super Octaver > Boss BD-2 Blues Driver > Floating Forest Dream Eater Fuzz > Black Russian Big Muff > Bogner Ecstasy Blue (acting as the preamp) > Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble > EHX Memory Boy > EHX Big Box Holy Grail > Hotone Looper > Power amp of a Hughes and Kettner QC310

Only had the space / money for one amp, so this is my setup to create a bootleg Bogner Ecstasy by running the pedals into an Ecstasy Blue pedal and then into the power amp. I'm also a bass player, and that one goes straight into the front of the amp.

Looking for input on preamp pedals.

Hello all,

I am a guitar and bass player with a tiny apartment, so I only have a bass combo amp and pedalboard to accommodate both my guitar and bass. I get great bass tones (unsurprisingly) out of it, and the guitar tones are okay.

I am thinking of getting a preamp pedal for my guitar chain and running it through the effects loop so that the guitar is bypassing the combo's preamp and using a more suitable guitar preamp.

I'm mostly looking for suggestions for actual preamp pedals with decent tone shaping in the less than ~$150 range. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
