Terrible Trio in The Batman Part 2

After rewatching the Terrible Trio episode from Batman: The Animated Series, it got my thinking about how they could work inside the Batman part 2. Not as the main villains or as actual threats but I think they could provide a certain nieche in the movies.

Idea

So basically if you didn't know, the Terrible Trio are three rich guys who are bored and decide to do crime, they don't care about the money just the thrill, literally willing to throw their money away just to get away.

I could totally see them working in the Part 2. Especially since the story seems to be revolving around Poison Ivy and the Court of Owls. Maybe Bruce has to investigate a meeting of Gotham's elite and meets the Terrible Trio, or Warren, Gunther, and Army (at least in BTAS). Batman could later encounter them while doing a crime, maybe a crime on a member of the court of owls, causing the three to be attacked.

So the idea is that this could affect Batman because now he has to save the three from being killed by the court, putting his mentality of saving people on the line. I also want to include them because it can be great for Bruce's character development. In the last film we know that Alfred is trying to get Bruce out of the house and interact with people more as Bruce Wayne. Maybe interacting with the three rich guys could make Bruce think about how maybe he himself is flaunting his money, instead of using his persona of Bruce Wayne to be able to distribute the wealth he has into Gotham's infastructure.

As Lego Batman fans, we should be more upset that we have a Batwing figure and not a Cassandra Cain figure

I like the minifigure but are we really getting a character barely anyone knows (we still haven't gotten a Clayface or Mad Hatter yet) over everyone else! Like the only really I remember him is cause of the name being Batman and Nightwing's name combined. Like why not give us Nightwing or another villain like Hugo Strange or Two-Face (I know we've gotten figures of all three in the past but it's been forever since we've gotten them, why not give the fans or regular customers minifigures and characters that they care about.

Imagine if we rarely got Lego Star Wars sets, then suddenly they come out with a Deathstar, but the figures are: Luke, Chewy, Ben Quardinaros, and 50 Stormtroopers. Fans would be mad!

Does Anyone Else Wish we Got More BTAS Villain Endings inside Batman Beyond

One of my favorite aspects was how they tied BTAS and TNBA with Batman Beyond. How they make it feel cohesive and natural character endings. With characters like Bruce, Mr. Freeze, Joker, and Bane. I just wish we got more of the BTAS villains in Beyond, or anwsers to what happened to them.

I know that when the creative team was developing the show intially, they wanted to avoid 2.0 or second versions of the BTAS character, so they made new and original, or sometimes reworking old villains. But what do you think happened to some of Batman's old rouges?

Penguin

I still imagine Penguin's barely holding on. Similar to Bane, Penguin's probably sitting in the Iceberg Lounge on Life Support.

Riddler

I thought of a cool episode premise for Batman Beyond. Where Riddler would've died and Bruce to visit his funeral. Learning that he's been making the ultimate riddle and test for Batman, and we see recordings of Riddler throughout his lifespan, working and adding to this puzzle. Maybe at the end, Bruce and Terry realize that they have to stop playing by Riddler's game, because when they do, he's already one. Similar to the Black and White #5 comic.

Clayface

I like the episode "Growing Pains" where it turns out that Annie was apart of Clayface. I like the idea that Clayface's mind is so broken over the years, it starts to break apart. With parts of him living regular lives, unknowing of their true nature as apart of Clayface.

Scarecrow

I like to think he ran away from Gotham and made a life and new identity, with the last name Billings. Having a son named Ira.

Do you think Killer Moth would want to be dominated?

I've always seen Killer Moth as a really, REALLY insecure person, who wants validation and reconition desperately. So it would make sense that he would want to be called a good boy.

Opinions on the Killer Moth movie in phase 2 of the Batman Cinematic Universe?

I personally really liked the movie. I know it isn't everyone's favorite, but I really liked seeing more of the lesser-known rouges in Gotham. Along with giving more screentime for Blackmask after phase 1.

Opinions on the LODCU (Killer Moth)

Since the Legion of Doom Cinematic Universe didn't have much to work with in terms of characters (No Lex Luthor, Joker, and etc.) They had to pull from other lesser-known characters to fill out their universe. One of my favorites was the Killer Moth movie. What are your opinions on it?

Which characters would you prefer to have movies or tv series after Post-Secret Wars?

https://preview.redd.it/48em1oo4xe7h1.png?width=367&format=png&auto=webp&s=9c238ce2b72ac9b83e71d2b6a5e18f561b2dd0a8

In a perfect world, a lot of heroes would have movies to depict large events and shows to portray more "every-day scenarios" and more of smaller arcs or stories. But I doubt Marvel would ever do that, mainly because if a character isn't popular enough, they'll probably only get one or the other. And if a character is popular enough, the actors, sets, and etc. would be too expensive to actually make it into a series.

So who would you prefer to have movies and which ones tv.

Ant-Man-I think they should switch Ant-man to a series. I don't think his trilogy was too successful, and since he's such an important Avenger in the comics it just feels like a waste not too include him entirely. I'd honestly love a show that focused more on Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne. Maybe even include Ultron.

Daredevil-I really want to see Daredevil return to the big-screen. Thanks to the Netflix series and Born Again, he's more than popular enough to get one. I personally don't want another Daredevil series after Secret Wars. I can't help but feel like it's just going to tread the same ground that the other two shows did. So I'd prefer a new version that has movies, just imagine Marvel's equivilent of Matt Reeve's the Batman. With similar cinematography, set design, and just everything.

X-Men-The X-Men and mutants in general are supposed to be a key role in the next saga. So just giving them movies feels like a waste. I wouldn't mind like X-Men movies and a series focused on the school where they teach mutants, with the main team popping up as cameos. I just feel like we need something in order to catch up and see our team again.

Thunderbolts-I just think the Thunderbolts can work great as a tv show. Aside from Bucky, all of them are more obscure characters (at least before the movie). Only really existing as Disney+ characters and one as the most forgetable villain in phase 3. I also think the overall team dynamic and chemistry can be expanded a lot more if they got a show focused on them going on multiple adventures and missions.

I really want this to be a discussion where a lot of people also share their wants of movies and series post Secret Wars.

(Hated trope) When the writers make a character have so many love-interests

Debra Morgan (Dexter) - Every other episode basically had to have a new love-interest for Deb. I really got fed up with it around season 3, where she met Anton. I know they're going to get together but I have to sit through a whole season with pretty meh dialouge, just for them to spend another 5 episodes before getting together.

Spider-Man - I like the character but hate a lot, and A LOT of his comics. Especially the ones where they just force a random relationship with *insert character or hero*. Like did we really need Spider-Man to have Carol Danvers, Emma Frost, Kitty Pryde all as love interests? It feels like the writers are making fan-fiction at this point. Especially because he has a perfectly good love-interest in both MJ and Gwen Stacy. Can Marvel just focus on MJ and Peter instead of giving him a 5000th love interest!?

Batman - I do like Batman and I don't think his problem is as bad as the other two. Like I'm fine with Catwoman and sort-a iffy on Talia, and others like Vicki Vale aren't awful. But I really, REALLY hate Batgirl and Batman. Like it honestly just feels like "oh, main hero has girl version of himself. They should kiss" logic. Like NO, Bruce is way older, and Batgirl is the daughter of his friend. It just feels wrong and I have no idea why it exists. But I feel like it only exists because the writers practically have every other female character swoon for Batman.

I don't really care who they find to play Booster Gold, as long as they bring back Billy West

Billy West was the voice actor for Skeets in the Justice League Unlimited episode that focused on Booster. You might know him from other stuff, like how he's Fry from Futurama. I just loved the voice he gave for Skeets and I want to see it brought back.

ICU (Invincible Cinematic Universe)

I recently heard that around 2005, there were plans to make a live-action Invincible movie. The development was dragged out however, and eventually the film rights went back to Kirkman, so the movie was cancelled.

But it made me think. What if instead, the movie came out a few years later, and it spawned a cinematic universe. Like the MCU, what would that look like?

I'd imagine the Guardians of the Globe would have a diffrent lineup, with Invincible and Atom Eve permanently staying on the team in order to get more people to watch it. The Coalition of Planets would probably act as the 2nd team of the universe, similar to the Guardians in the Infinity saga.

Outside of Invincible and the team-up movies, I see most of the characters getting only one movie, and no sequels.

What do you think it could look like?

Fisk is a bad mayor

I currently live in New York and it sucks over here. The people who are saying Fisk is a good mayor don't actually live in the city, which just pisses me off. Like you're complaining and glazing a man who runs a city you're not even in.

It's so much more to live here now, due to his Anti-Vigilante task-force funding. Like you don't need all these high-tech weponry just to be able to catch a guy in tights. I NEED TO AFFORD FOOD!

Another thing is that the Anti-Vigilante task-force are over-reaching their jurisdiction. They raided my apartment complex last week and woke me up in the middle of the night. Baraged me with questions, tore everything up, without a warrant mind you! All because they thought they saw a masked "criminal" go in there... It was a cat.

Can we not mention Fisk was arrested at one point for racketeering, and literally paying off police and congressmen!?! I don't trust a man who used to do racketeering for a job.

I'm also just baffled at why it seems like everyone forgot about Fisk traveling to Justin Hammer's island? He was mentioned on the files multiple amounts of times, and there are flight logs proving it. Fisk can't distract people from the Hammer files!

What was everyone's opinion on phase 4 of the DCU

After 4 years after it ended, I wanted to look back at phase 4. It seems to be really decisive amoung fans, with some of the best and worst projects in the DCU.

2021

  • Martian Manhunter
  • Supergirl & Superboy
  • Booster Gold
  • Black Canary
  • DC Elseworlds
  • Batman: Battle for the Cowl
  • Teen Titans
  • Green Arrow
  • Nightwing: Legacy of the Dark Knight

2022

  • Peacemaker
  • Doctor Fate: Wonders of the Multiverse
  • Stargirl
  • Wonder Woman: Gods & Monsters
  • Krypto: The Superdog
  • Adrian Chase: Attorney at Law
  • Swamp-Thing: Special Presentation
  • The Flash: Across Two Worlds
  • Suicide Squad: Christmas Special

I know some stuff was controversial, like getting rid of Barry Allen in Flash 2 because his actor, well did things.. I also found DC elseworlds underwelming, like they could've done Gotham by Gaslight, Red Son Superman, or even Earth 2 but no, we had an episode about if Batman and Joker were related.

I thought Adrian Chase was very disapointing and did Vigilante poorly, but at least it included Red Hood and made way for "Red Hood: Rebirth" later. I really liked Peacemaker but sad to hear when the 2nd season was cancelled. Teen Titans was promising but it introduced too many characters, and didn't develop them each enough. It was also confusing that Trigon wasn't the villain but it was actually Deathstroke controlling him?

Wonder Woman was a trainwreck, we don't gotta talk about that.

I really enjoyed the Suicide Squad special. Along with Biooster Gold, the show explored more of the multiverse and showed by Booster was more than just a joke, justice for him! Nightwing 3 was amazing, it wasn't perfect and a little overrated, but it was still great to see the iconic Batman actors return, Christian Bale, Michael Keaton, and Kevin Conroy (rip, his last major acting role). It was also cool to see the other villains.

I really wanna hear your guy's opinions on what did you think of the projects for phase 4.

Petition to add Booster Gold, Killer Moth, and Scarecrow into DC Allies

I like playing the game, but I find that three of my favorite characters in DC are missing. I personally want to see them in the game, so I have some concepts/ideas for them.

Booster Gold

We already have Blue Beetle in the game, and we even got Jimmy Olsen in the game, so it's an outrage we haven't seen Booster yet in the game.

For classes, I think Booster can be a vanguard. One of his most famous powers in comics have been force fields, so he'll fit well within the vanguards. For other abilities, maybe Booster can have flight or even "specialized vision" that allows him to identify whose on the battlefield (using Skeets) similar to Batman's detective vision. I don't know what his Absolutes can be the line could be "Always count on Gold". For special accessories, maybe like a Skeets or Blue Beetle charm would be cool to see.

Killer Moth

I don't have a reason, I unironically love this screwup.

For classes, Killer Moth could be a duelist. His abilities could have him use flight with his wings or even his cocoon gun, which can temporarily stop enemies. For possibly Absolutes, maybe like a swarm of moths, and Killer Moth could say "The one and only Killer Moth!". For charms/accessories, maybe like Firefly or a little cute Moth plush. Killer Moth should definitley revieve skins, like maybe a Teen Titans skin, or a huge Charaxes skin.

Scarecrow

I love the allies designs for the characters and for Scarecrow, a character who has unique and cool designs for almost every version of him, it would be cool to see here. He's also a cool and underrated Batman villain.

Scarecrow could have two classes, either duelist or strategist. I have two ideas for weapons, those being a fear toxin cannon that could act like a flamethrower, with his melee being a scythe. If he was a strategist, Scarecrow could have an ability that would allow him to debuff the enemy team by using fear toxin. His Absolute could be a huge fear toxin bomb that would temporarily stop the enemy team from doing any Absolutes. His line can be "I am Fear!" or maybe "You controlled by fear.". For skins, it can range from his many designs over the years. Like maybe a skin based off his original comic appearence, or based off the Arkham games (preferably City), and even a Long Halloween one.

I'm really bad at concept art so I won't do it. But for actual looks/designs for all three I'd imagine something like:

-Booster's regular appearence from most of his comics.

-The Killer Moth design we saw for his file in the Arkham games.

-Something that looks like the first Arkham game Scarecrow, or like how he looked in the comic "Fear of Faith" cause it's cool.

What's your ideal movie line-up for the Fantastic Four within the MCU

For me, I'd want at least three more movies within the next saga, so there would be four movies in total.

Each movie would have one of the members have a major arc, but Reed will act as the sort-of main character, having a large role/story in every movie.

The 2nd movie probably having Annihilus as the main villain, with Reed and Doom forced to work together to ensure the safety of Earth.

The 3rd movie I wanna see a sort-of natural disaster event to happen to New York, or an invasion that was caused by Doom. With Reed by the end of the movie turning into the Maker after believing Sue died.

The 4th movie would take place somewhere between the Infinity War and Endgame event of the saga, something called like "Future Foundation" where a new team is formed under the leadership of Ben Grimm.

What are your ideas/thoughts on what a trilogy or movie line-up in the MCU for the Fantastic Four could be?

Killer Moth should have been in Batman: The Animated Series (Pitch)

One of the best parts of BTAS were the villains, and how the creative team fixed and made drastic changes to certain characters. Harley Quinn was created in BTAS, and villains like Mr. Freeze and Two-Face were overhauled and wouldn't nearly be as popular today had it not been for the show.

I think the show greatly missed out on is not including Killer Moth. He's unironically one of my favorites, and I think he would've made a great inclusion into the series. Bruce Timm and Paul Dini have spoke about Killer Moth, specifically how they didn't want to include him for his goofy design, even though the show was going for a more darker tone. Which I personally feel is bs. The show had plenty of characters that were originally one-note and goofy, aforementioned Two-Face and Mr. Freeze. Mr. Freeze was called Mr. Zero, and sported a green suit before the show, and Two-Face's whole thing was centered around two. I honestly think that they didn't include him because they couldn't think of anything for Killer Moth.

Across the years, many have tried rethinking or reworking Killer Moth's character. With a show like BTAS, that reworked their villains, I think Killer Moth would've fit perfectly into this formula. I want to share my ideas and opinions on what Killer Moth should've been in the episode, and what he could've been. Giving him a story, like what they did with many of their villains.

Note: I'm not trying to call for a sequel series, this is just me trying to share my idea on how BTAS could've written him. I would also love to hear your ideas or thoughts on about this.

Suit/Appearence

There is technically a Killer Moth in the DCAU, but it's from a tie-in comic. I personally dislike the design, so I'd change it. I want him to look like his classic suit, sort of drawing from multiple versions. Like the color scheme from his original comic, but the helmet where he has the sort of horn sticking out. I've seen concept art of Killer Moth if he was in the DCAU, but I feel like those don't fit with what I want to go for.

Episode Ideas

I have four episode ideas, that would sort-of formulate a mini-story for Killer Moth, similar to others like Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy.

Flight of the Killer Moth

This would be the origin story episode, and would set up Killer Moth. The episode could start with Killer Moth talking to all of the crimebosses (Penguin, Two-Face, Rupert Thorne, etc.) promising them he will kill Batman for a hefty price. They all agree, and Killer Moth hunts down Batman. Batman is at a shipping yard when a large crate almost drops on him, he finds out that someone hit the cable line with a moth-shaped boomerang. Killer Moth tries running away but Batman catches up to him, then he sprays Batman with his cocoon gun, allowing him to escape. This will show off Killer Moth's dirty tactics and how he's a sort-of coward, not facing Batman directly. With like a car-chase in between cause I wanna show off the Moth-mobile. In the end, Killer Moth is ambushed by Batman, as he's trying to escape Gotham with the crimebosses' money. Batman says his "I am the night" line and then Killer Moth says something like "I am the light" and turning on a huge light, blinding Batman. Until he's attacked by Batgirl (who will be more important later). He's then arrested, with the episode ending with the crime bosses furious and calling for the head of Killer Moth.

Gotham's Most Wanted

Canonically, this will follow pretty closely to the first. Drury Walker is being transported by the GCPD to prison, until their transport is attacked by members of the mob, trying to kill Drury for screwing them over. Batman comes in the nick of time to save Drury. They try taking him to a precinct, but then the cops there try to kill Drury as well, with Batman finding out the crime bosses put a million dollar bounty on Killer Moth. Batman and Drury talk at his old apartment, where we learn that Drury has pratically nothing in his life, and how he used Killer Moth as a sort-of escape in order to truly matter in other people's eyes. Both of them continue running away from people trying to cash in on the reward with assassins like Deadshot trying to kill Drury. With Batman and Drury having a final showdown with Deadshot and the Penguin on the bridge. Deadshot gets the upper-hand on Batman, and Drury is faced with an opprotunity to escape, he insteads helps Batman, and they defeat Deadshot. Drury is hanging off the edge of the bridge, and Batman tries grabbing onto him, but Drury refuses, telling him how he feels like he's done nothing but be a parasite to others, and how he's done nothing with his life. Batman then tells him about his no kill rule, and how he believes everyone can change for the better. With Drury willingly being arrested again.

Note: The next two will be apart of The New Batman Adventures, mainly because of important characters that wouldn't be introduced until that series.

The Misfits

Drury is under protective custody in prison. With a lot of other prisoners laughing when they found out Drury was originally defeated and knocked out by Batgirl. He has enough and plans a breakout with other C-tier villains, such as Firefly, Calendar Man, Mastermind, Mr. Nice, and Perfessor (who were in the BTAS tie-in comics, which I added in because it would've been cool). They breakout and plan on showing Gotham that they're serious villains, planning on kidnapping important people in Gotham, including Mayor Hill, Commissioner Gordon, Rupert Thorne, and Bruce Wayne. After Wayne's kidnapping, it attracts the attention of Nightwing and Batgirl. Who work together to uncover who was behind it. Along the way, the misfits are incompetent at kidnapping and even holding their prisoners captive, with Thorne almost getting the jump on Killer Moth. When Batgirl and Nightwing discover their location, they fight Mr Nice and Calendar Man, while Firefly and Killer Moth are with the prisoners. Firefly tells Drury to kill Bruce Wayne, and that they need to show they mean business, Drury doesn't want to, and Firefly goes off on Drury. Telling him he isn't a real villain cause he's not cut out to be one. Bruce breaks out of holding and is able to knockout Killer Moth, with Firefly able to get away, but without his suit.

The Life and Crimes of Drury Walker

Drury is told by Batgirl that if he's able to help them find out where Firefly is, his sentence will be reduced. He agrees but openly hates working with Batgirl because he blames her for the reason why he's a laughing stock of the criminal underworld. They go to his apartment but Drury uses it as an excuse to get his old costume back. They go through the criminal underworld, trying to track down Firefly, while encountering others like Penguin and Killer Croc. Batgirl confronts him about how he saved her life during their encounter with Killer Croc, where she tells him how she thinks Drury didn't take the deal because he wants a shorter sentence, but because he wants to stop Firefly before he causes real harm. Meanwhile, Firefly is going around Gotham, trying to gather pyro-technic materials in order to cause chaos, with us seeing a paralel to Firefly and Killer Moth. With how Firefly is obsessive and wanting to cause mayhem, while Killer Moth is unsure and unwilling to hurt others. When Batgirl and Killer Moth find out where Firefly is, there's a huge fight, where Firefly sets fire to the building. There's a moment where Firefly tries to reconnect with Killer Moth, but he's upset when Drury wants to help Batgirl whose trapped under debris. We see Firefly's obsessive personality (similar to his first episode, Torchsong). Firefly is defeated and Killer Moth helps Batgirl, with him going back to jail. At the end of the episode, there's a sort of time-skip, let's say 10 years. We see Drury working and owning a bakery, now going by the name of Cameron van Cleer. Bruce Wayne walks in and greets him, ending the episode.

Character Arc

I wanted to make a sort-of character arc for Drury. He starts wanting validation, believing the only way he can be seen and reconized is by doing villainly. With him learning through the epsiodes that he isn't cut-out for that, that he isn't willing to do certain things a real villain is willing to do. I wanted to look at themes of letting go and learning your limits. With Drury going from wanting glory and fame, to then living a humble life.

I really want to know what you guys think, because I do really like Killer Moth as a character. Remember this was just a little experiment I thought of, and I'm just trying to have fun. Sorry for it being so long.

I was left out of my yearbook.

Ok, so I'm a junior in Highschool, and it was my first year at my current highschool. Now the school was new to me and I had no idea how certain things worked and people just kinda expected me to know things, like (side rant) when I was trying to get an ID to get books required for my classes they kept telling me to go to a certain building but I had no idea where it was or how to get there. Until someone had to physically show me.

But when it came picture day, the only announcment they had were for parents, and they didn't tell me anything at school, no teachers, no announcments. Now I'm used to going as a class to get photos, but appearently you had to do it during lunch, and I'm guessing since I'm not a Freshmen at that school before they never told me, and the make-up day was the day after which I had no idea until after it was over.

When the end of the year came, I couldn't find my name in the yearbook, not even the little picture where every student got one. At first I tried joking about it, like how "oh nobody can have blackmail on me now" or something but it really hurt. It wasn't for vanity reasons, it just made me feel like I was insignificant, and I didn't matter. It made me feel like I was nothing, I know it's a corny thing to say but that's the truth. It would've been diffrent if I joined maybe like half-way through the year or like a month before the year ended, but I was there from the first day of school.

At the end of the day, I know it's partically my fault for missing picture day, but it still hurt none the less. The only advice I got was "just wait for next year" and honestly, I don't think I want to wait, it hurts now.
