Which is the better fit?

Just wondering what the people in here think. Round glasses are the current ones. Thanks!

So what's the difference between the new Aygo X and Yaris hybrids? Size aside.

Title. I'm not sure what the main points of difference are, aside from the fact that the Yaris is longer/can accommodate a bit more inside of it.

Leasing a car in Austria vs. financing

Hallo,

I've recently gotten my driver's license (I'm 25+ yo, never needed one before), and I'm thinking of going the leasing route for my car.

How feasible is it in Austria? I've heard from friends in Germany that most of the time leasing is only "allowed" for people with driving experience. I am aware insurance will be more expensive regardless. However I'm not a fresh 18 yo driver, but older, does that make any difference?

Why I'd rather lease, because it feels more convenient and everything is included basically (including insurance, from what I've read), and I can choose whether or not I wanna stick with the car at the end or go with a new one.

The car I had in mind is the latest Toyota Aygo X (hybrid).

Any opinions on that? And any info on the "driving experience" for leasing? If that is an issue, would financing be a better option then?

Danke!

Thoughts on the show "Upload"?

Hello, I'm just wondering what you guys think/thought of the show Upload, which I've honestly not read much about since it premiered. It seems to have ended last year, but it doesn't seem (to me, might be completely wrong) like it was popular/acclaimed or beloved to the same extent as apparently similar shows like The Good Place, or other comedies by Greg Daniels.

Does it have a proper conclusion, does it make sense as a show? The concept sounds super intriguing to me and different enough that I'm considering giving it a shot. I will probably do that regardless of this thread but I do wanna read about the opinions in here. Cheers

Anyone experiencing "summer blues"?

Hey everyone, was just wondering if summer blues is a thing for people in here. I don't experience winter depression, or at least not significantly, but I do experience heavy stretches of summer blues/depression. I get all these weird feelings around spring/summer, where I have much less energy than usual (though I'm not a highly energetic person normally anyway, so even worse than that), I feel down and "weird"/neutral, emotions/sensations and thoughts I can't describe with words, like the world is weird. Every year is the same, and it happens around this period of time. My motivation is at an all-time low, I don't feel like going to work, though I have holidays until tomorrow thank god. But I have zero motivation to go back. Sometimes I just sit around and do nothing and then I realize it and wonder what is wrong with me. Just some random "normal" example: when I need to go grocery shopping, it takes me 20 minutes to decide, then I just prepare, in-between I need some time too, then it takes me another half hour of sitting until I can motivate myself enough to go.

It happens here and there during the year but spring & summer is an entirely different story and much rougher to handle. I do have a partner, being with him alleviates those issues a lot/we do things together and go out, but when I'm alone by myself I'm just not turned on as a human I feel. Does that even make sense? It's so hard to explain. If anyone can relate, and if you have some tips on how to deal with this a bit less miserably. Thank you

Upcoming award season - Jean Smart vs. Lisa Kudrow

Since both shows have ended this year and I've been loving both (I haven't finished either yet but on my way there), I was wondering where you guys think this is gonna go.

Both seasons (and overall shows) have been critically acclaimed, both performances equally so, if not more, this has to be a hard decision to make. Possibly the hardest awards dilemma of the last few years. Not that awards are important or that meaningful, but they're at least symbolic and can mean a lot for the people involved.

Jean Smart would make Emmy history for winning for every season of a show (JLD did win more overall for Veep/had a bigger streak, but didn't win for the last season), but Lisa Kudrow has been deserving of the honor for a LONG ass time. Both of them have been pitch-perfect in once-in-a-lifetime roles, and I would personally be happy for either. That's basically their best work, bar none. But that makes it an impossible decision to make - they're both so deserving of it. And either of them winning would make such a perfect conclusion to their respective era. Is a tie possible??

What do you think will be determining factors, in the end?

What's one scene where the acting is so good it outshines the entirety of its show?

Just curious about some of your suggestions for best tv scenes when it comes to raw acting power. Just some piece of acting you can't forget, regardless of the quality of the show itself.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 continues its fantastic Italian journey and added 1.3M€ (same as yesterday) and is at near 18M€ (!!! Already more than the first film's total gross). Michael added 457k€ for a 14.7M€ gross.

Source.

> The Devil Wears Prada 2 remains at the top of the box office chart. Once again, the film starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway has surpassed the million-euro mark, grossing 1,332,561 euros with an average of 2,558 euros across 521 theaters (571 seven days ago). The drop compared to seven days ago is 51%, but this was to be expected given last week’s massive opening of 2.7 million. Since April 29, the film has reached a total of 17,944,570 euros, far surpassing the box office total of the first film, which had reached 14,313,005 euros. The Devil Wears Prada 2 continues to widen its lead over Barbie and maintains its gap over Inside Out 2, which, upon its release in June 2024, had maintained an extremely high pace in its daily performance. > > - > > Michael holds onto second place with 457,491 euros (a drop of just 22% compared to seven days ago) and an average of 1,019 euros across 449 theaters (484). Thanks to excellent word of mouth, the Michael Jackson biopic has grossed 14,719,863 euros since April 22 and remains at a higher box office level than the phenomenal Bohemian Rhapsody: It remains to be seen how the film will fare in terms of longevity and whether it will manage to further expand its audience.

The specific article isn't out yet (right now) but the graphs are updated with yesterday's numbers. DWP2 is at 15.33M€ gross in Italy, Michael at 13.80M€.

Edit: the article is now out:

> The Devil Wears Prada 2 remains firmly in the lead, grossing another 1,048,175 euros, bringing 136,696 spectators to the theater on its sixth day of programming. It is not difficult to understand how the film reached and exceeded 15 million euros in grosses after less than a week in theaters, given that it moves on an impressive average of 2,055 euros in 510 cinemas. The total thus reaches 15,325,391 euros, confirming a very solid hold even on a weekday. The comparison with Barbie and Inside Out 2 shows how the curves are starting to deviate: the film with Meryl Streep slows down compared to the incredible performance compared to the blockbuster animated title, but remains well ahead of what Greta Gerwig's blockbuster comedy did. > > - > > Michael is confirmed in second place, adding 380,258 euros (49,627 spectators) and bringing the total to 13,798,162 euros, in turn approaching the goal of 15 million, which it should reach during the second week of exploitation. The musical biopic continues to generate significant revenue during the week, maintaining a very strong presence on the market, with a 40% drop compared to what it did seven days ago: a positive figure, especially considering the strong competition from The Devil Wears Prada 2. The average for the biopic on the king of pop is 816 euros in 466 cinemas.

Hello, I was wondering if using the automatic (AI) detection to create masks (speeds up a lot of the work, can be refined) flag the pictures as AI (meaning, no nuance in how AI was used)?? Because that is certainly not something I would want. I wonder how people use this? Is this feature widely used or do people manually mask in order to avoid a potential AI flag? Thanks!
