My modem is like 8+ years old and I'm starting to upstream and downstream power creep in the wrong direction. It also randomly cut out today. What's recommended these days? I already have a router. Also would like to get the newest possible before Orange Epstein Man ban goes into effect.
I've been trying for a couple of hours but just putting the port number in doesn't seem to do anything. I'm sure I'm just missing something, but I'm not sure what. Do I need to install some kind of plugin? Should I try other software?
I ran this poll a while back, but it seems like the time to failure has been increasing steadily. I'm curious about this, so I'm running this one more time to see if the results really have changed. Unfortunately 6 options limits what I can put here, but I'm curious either way. Please don't complain about the options. I'm just working with what I have.
