Claw 8EX AI - Screen Judder

Hey folks. I recently got the Claw 8EX AI+, and this thing is an absolute beast. I am really loving the experience and the performance is offered is simply incredible. Intel knocked it out of the park here...well, except this one thing.

So most games I have managed to run - RE9, 007, Rivals, SM2, etc, I can easily go above 60fps most of the time, but the games don't feel as smooth as they should. There is always this screen judder present in the background when I pan the camera and the games even at 100fps+ don't feel like 100fps and more like 40fps.

I have VSync and VRR enabled (for fullscreen and windowed mode) in the Intel Graphics Software, the screen's refresh rate is 120Hz, and I have even tried capping the games at 60fps to see if it reduces the judder but to no avail. I have enabled and disabled Vsync in the game but it makes no difference.

I am not sure what's happening here. Any ideas? I feel like the VRR isn't working right and the judder is there due to screen tearing which the system is trying its best to remove but doesn't do it successfully.

Is there a way to turn this off?

Is there a way to turn this recent downloads pop-up? I find it supremely annoying and I always have to click somewhere on the page or the side panel to remove it, and sometimes it doesn't work and I have to click on a new part of the browser. The animation itself is good enough to notify that a download has begun, i don't need this pop-up every single time!

I hope there is!

Slow Boot Times Despite High-End Specs

Hey folks. I have been noticing kind of slow boot times on my Windows 11 installation, despite having pretty high-end specs:

* **CPU:** Intel Core i9-13900K
* **GPU:** NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition
* **Motherboard:** ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero
* **RAM:** 64GB Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5
* **Cooling:** Corsair iCUE H150i Elite LCD XT
* **Storage:** Corsair MP600 Pro LPX, plus a Corsair MP700 Pro NVMe drive
* **Case:** Lian Li O11 Vision

I have Windows 11 on the MP600, and CachyOS on MP700 (I haven't booted into that for a while now). And I have USB Hub cable connected with my monitor (keyboard and mouse) for KVM purposes.

When the PC loads, the Asus logo shows up and the white spinning circle stays on for around 24-30 seconds before loading Windows. It was far less before, like around 10 seconds. I am not sure what's wrong.

I don't have any startup apps besides MSI Afterburner and RTSS and I have disabled almost everything else.

With the help of AI, I tried to troubleshoot and see where Windows was hanging, so I generated an etl file of the boot and analyzed it through Windows Performance Analyzer and it seems like there is some kernel stuff that Windows hangs at. Nothing was clear or fruitful.

Windows loads extremely fast in Safe Mode.

I have tried all sorts of stuff, disabled SATA controllers in BIOS, even disabled core service of Afterburner, and a whole bunch of other things but nothing helped. It just doesn't seem to make a difference.

I hope someone here can help me out!

Sleep and Notifications

Hey folks. I have a Macbook Pro M4, connected all the time to a 4K display via USB-C. After using the laptop, I put it to sleep via CMD + Option + S shortcut, and wake it up via mouse/keyboard.

All of this works well, no complaints except one: even when the Macbook is "asleep", it still plays notification sounds from Whatsapp or whenever I receive an email. It's very annoying. How do I turn this off? There should be no notification sound when the system is sleeping, only when it's awake and running.

I have also tried manually putting it to sleep from Apple > Sleep menu from the top bar but I guess it's the same thing. I would appreciate some help!

Sound Blaster G8 and FiiO K11

Hey folks. I already have the Sound Blaster G8, paired with the ROG Kithara.

These two work fine together except that I have noticed some distortion issues at higher volumes (mostly in the bass area). I have tried to EQ and apply pre-amp, but I can never get the volume right without introducing distortion, esp in games and movies which have dynamic range. With some volume compensation, it does sound fine and loud enough, although I would certainly like more volume, and now I am incredibly conscious of listening for distortion and honestly, it zaps my enjoyment of using them together.

So I was thinking of the FiiO K11. Would be an improvement in terms audio quality, volume quantity, soundstage, and will it have enough clean headroom to not introduce any distortion at higher volumes?

I don't really care for channel mixing or microphone options that the G8 has, I just want pure audio performance.

Addons for Indian Channels?

Hey folks, I wonder if there is an addon for live indian channels like Zee TV, Star Plus, Sony TV, etc?

There are plenty of add-ons for Indian content and they all work well but it's simply for OTT content, so I was wondering if there is anything for live channels?

Please let me know! I would appreciate your help.

G8 - Odd Volume Behavior

When I first got the G8, I was surprised to find that I didn't have a lot of headroom in terms of volume, even on High Gain, for the ROG Kithara, considering it's a powerful amp. But I assume it was normal and continued to use it. That was until a few days ago, when suddenly the unit started to produce a massive amounts of volume. I am not sure why or how but it happened and I feel like this is how it's supposed to behave.

What happened:
I played a game on PC (USB1) with Direct Mode on and then normally shut off the PC.

Then I turned on the PS5 (USB2), and the volume boost occurred. I was surprised. I had to crank the volume on the unit all the way back because it was so loud.

Curious, I turned on the PC while the PS5 was active to see if the volume boost would disappear but it didn't. I restarted the PC several times, even the PS5, and nothing happened. Turned on and off SBX and nothing happened, the volume boost remained.

What I haven't done is open the app and I think that's what was causing the volume to drop significantly and the High Gain to not behave as it should. I have turned off smart volume and volume sync entirely, I don't think there is any other option?

So I won't be opening the app again but I do want to mess around the EQ and fine the sweet spot. I want to taper off the treble a little because Creative's sound signature always a little shouty at higher volumes but I know that the moment I open the app, the unit will bug out again and I really like the higher volume. It's so much better in not just the volume quantity but also the audio quality overall. It's more detailed, more spacious and much more tighter.

So my question is - after I open the app and the volume drops, how do I keep the volume boost? Is there an option in the app itself that limits the volume in some way? Creative's app and hardware are so freaking buggy. I asked Creative Support and all I got was an AI generated answer as if we don't have access to AI.

Corsair Sabre V2 Pro Wireless Scroll Wheel Issue

I have a month or so old Corsair Sabre V2 Pro Wireless and it has developed an issue with the scroll wheel. Scrolling up or down is not consistent, sometimes it jumps around, sometimes it doesn't scroll.

I took it apart to clean it but everything inside looks pristine. I am not sure what's wrong or what I can fix. Any ideas?

Help! Sound Blaster G8 USB1 not working after firmware update

I just got the G8, downloaded the Creative App and updated the firmware to the latest. No errors during. And immediately, for no reason, USB1 on the device doesn't seem to be working at all. I have plugged it into the PS5, to a direct wall plug, and another Windows system and nothing. No lights pop-up.

When USB1 and USB2 are plugged to the system, the Creative App detects USB2 only. If I remove USB1, then the app doesn't detect anything.

Is there a way I can recover this somehow? Any help will be appreciated!

What the fuck man.

Edit: Got it working by using the recovery tool! Phew. I am not updating the to the latest firmware, at least not yet. Lol.

Hey folks. I recently got the Asus ROG Kithara and I am looking for a DAC/Amp to compliment it. Unfortunately, the included USB dac with the headset sucks and the volume is quite low.

For the G8, I am planning to connect USB1 to the PC for audio and constant power (I have configured the mobo as such so it will provide power even if the PC is off), and USB 2 to the PS5. I don't care about any of the other ports and don't want to use the mic.

I don't even wanna use the software for anything, just for firmware updates if necessary, and I plan to use the G8 in direct mode as I don't like any processing in the audio.

Is the G8 a viable solution for me? Please let me know!
