Expedition 33 - Maelle and Renoir Questions

Hello

I recently finished playing ACT 2 and the EPILOGUE of the game and I am currently in the middle of ACT 3. But after the revelation about the painters and Aline and Renoir and the painted creations in the canvas, I have a few questions that I don't seem to understand clearly on my part.

  1. From what I understood, Maelle is actually the real Alicia, who entered the Canvas and, because of Aline's powers, was reborn as Maelle. But after we kill the Paintress and everyone inside the Canvas dies, how does Alicia return? And how does she suddenly have Painter-like powers, such as resurrecting Lune and Sciel, and later killing both the Paintress and Renoir at the end of Act 2?
  2. At the beginning of the game, Renoir attacks Expedition 33 on the beach and kills most of the expedition members. We also fight him twice before finally killing the Paintress. Is this the painted version of Renoir created by Aline? If so, why is he trying to kill the expeditioners? Was he doing it because he wanted to prevent the destruction of the Paintress and, by extension, save himself from disappearing?

I know some of these questions might have obvious answers, and it's entirely possible I overlooked or misunderstood something. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help clear this up without spoiling anything beyond the middle of Act 3.

Thank you!

RTX 3050 stuck at 210 MHz in games, 99% GPU usage

Hi everyone,

I'm pretty new to PC troubleshooting, so sorry if I miss something obvious.

I have a Lenovo Legion 5 laptop with:

  • Ryzen 7 5800H
  • RTX 3050 Laptop GPU
  • Laptop plugged into charger while gaming
  • Dedicated RTX 3050 selected for games (not using integrated graphics)

Recently I've been getting extremely low FPS in games like Black Myth: Wukong and Elden Ring. I'm only getting around 17-22 FPS.

I checked GPU-Z while gaming and noticed some really strange numbers:

  • GPU usage is around 99%
  • Core clock is only 210 MHz
  • GPU-Z is reporting around 522W gpu chip power draw
  • Temperatures don't appear unusually high from what I can tell

What confuses me is that the GPU is apparently at 99% usage but it's only running at 210 MHz. Also, the 500W power draw seems impossible for a laptop RTX 3050, so I'm not sure if GPU-Z is reading something incorrectly.

Things I've already checked:

  • Laptop is plugged in
  • Using dedicated RTX 3050 for gaming
  • Same issue happens in multiple games

Could this be:

  • A driver issue?
  • Power limit/throttling problem?
  • GPU stuck in a low power state?
  • Faulty sensor readings from GPU-Z?
  • Something related to Lenovo Vantage settings?

Any help would be appreciated because I'm not sure where to start troubleshooting.

Thanks!

Change flight date showing higher fare than original ticket – am I missing something?

Hello

I have a booking on Singapore Airlines from Chennai to Singapore on 5 August 2026. Due to a change in plans, I would like to move my flight to 6 August 2026.

I tried changing the booking through the website by going to Manage Booking → Change Booking, but the fare difference being quoted is actually higher than the amount I originally paid for the ticket.

I also contacted customer service, but I wasn't able to get a clear explanation.

Am I missing something in the booking change process, or is this normal? My understanding was that I would only need to pay any applicable fare difference and change fee (if any), but the amount being quoted seems unusually high.

Has anyone experienced something similar when changing to a flight just one day later?

Thanks in advance.

Is this monitor worth it?

I’m looking for a cheap budget monitor for my secondary Mac Mini and PS5 Setup. I have a total budget of 10k for the monitor.

Is this monitor worth it for the budget. I won’t be gaming a lot in this and it will be mostly used for productivity stuff like web browsing and media consumption. But occasionally I’ll game on the PS5 for like 2 or 3 hours

Shall I go with this monitor or should I spend extra and get something better?

Thank you

9060XT 16GB vs 5060Ti 8GB

Hello

I was recently given a 5060ti 8GB GPU from my family to upgrade my old 1660 Super. Now I have an MSI MAG 275QF 1400p monitor and I’d be using the pc for at least 5 years.

When I’ve went online I saw many mentioning the 9060XT is the cheapest 1440p GPU you can buy and that’s the best value for money.

But when I told my family about this my brother told he had a bad experience with AMD gpu in his ASUS G14 laptop and had some driver issues and crashing so don’t get an AMD GPU.

But everywhere online, there was only praise for the 9060XT. Should I keep my 5060Ti or sell it and get the 9060XT instead? Are the issues in AMD GPUs fixed?

For context:
Mostly single-player games (RDR2, Mafia, Uncharted, etc.)
1440p gaming preferred
Want the GPU to age reasonably well over 5 years
Ray tracing is nice but not my top priority
I have a 7500F RYZEN CPU

Would really appreciate advice from people who’ve used both AMD and NVIDIA recently

Thanks a lot

1080p/1440p PC Build Help!!! ( India )

Hello

I am requiring help building a ₹95k–₹1.1L gaming PC in India. I already have a 1440p ultrawide monitor, so the budget is only for the tower

My main use case is:
Single-player AAA story games like Uncharted, Hitman, Red Dead Redemption 2, maybe future Rockstar/Sony ports
Preferably 1440p gaming whenever possible, but I’m okay dropping to 1080p high settings for newer demanding games in the future.

I already have an old i5 PC and plan to reuse the HDD + SATA SSD for bulk storage. So a 500GB NVME SSD is enough for this PC.

My current PC lasted around 6 years, so I want something similarly reliable.

Need the build to last similarly, so I want:
Good motherboard quality with future -proof platform
and upgrade path for CPU/GPU later so need reliable PSU + cooling.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

1000-1200$ Gaming PC Build Help

Hello

I’m currently using an Intel i5-9600K + GTX 1660 Super build. It still handles most games fairly well, but in newer titles like Hogwarts Legacy and Uncharted. I usually have to drop to Low settings or even 720p to get a smooth experience.

So I’m planning a new build and these are the parts I’ve selected so far:

PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jjDRTm

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 4.7 GHz 6-Core Processor ($165.00 @ Amazon)

CPU Cooler: Thermalright AXP90-X47 42.58 CFM CPU Cooler ($22.39 @ Amazon)

Motherboard: ASRock B650I Lightning Wifi Mini ITX AM5 Motherboard ($169.99 @ Amazon)

Memory: Patriot Viper Elite 5 16 GB (1 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory ($199.99 @ Newegg)

Storage: Silicon Power UD90 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($152.97 @ Silicon Power)

Video Card: Gigabyte WINDFORCE OC GeForce RTX 5060 8 GB PCIe x8 Video Card ($349.99 @ Amazon)

Case: Thermaltake TR100 Mini ITX Desktop Case ($99.99 @ Best Buy)

Power Supply: Lian Li SP V2 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply ($124.99 @ Amazon)

Total: $1285.31

My main requirement is portability. I’ll be flying between school and home every ~4 months during breaks, so I want something compact and easy to transport on flights, preferably as a carry-on.

My main questions are

  1. Would this build be good enough for modern single-player games at 1080p and possibly 1440p?

  2. Is 8GB RAM Enough for 2026?

  3. Is this a good platform for future upgrades? I'd like to upgrade the RAM and the GPU when the ram prices come down.

I’d really appreciate any recommendations or suggestions before I start buying parts.

Thanks!

1200-1500 SGD Mini-ITX Portable PC

Hello

New build or upgrade?
• Existing parts/monitors to reuse? : I have a 1440p LG ultra-wide monitor
• PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/ games) : Gaming/Coding with Python, Javascript /College Work
• Purchase country? Near Micro Center?: Preferably Singapore, but I can get someone to bring stuff from Brooklyn Microcentre
• Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate
• Budget range? (Include tax considerations) : 1200-1500SGD (Max 1200 USD)
• WiFi or wired connection?
• Size noise constraints?
This is my main constraint. I will be flying every 4 months from Singapore to my home so I’d like a PC case that can be easily brought with me on a flight , preferably as a carry on pc.
• Color/lighting preferences? - Minimal RGB. Any color will suffice
• Any other specific needs? - The PC must an upgrade path as I will be using this PC for a while. Upgrades like the GPU when new generation models release will be welcome. The main need is the portability I was looking at a PC with Ryzen 9600x/7600x (whichever is cheaper) and RTX 5060. Is that a good combo?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Case recommendations for air travel

Hello

I’m looking to build a ~$1000–$1200 gaming / coding / e-learning PC before I go abroad for studies. Right now I’m planning around a Ryzen 5 7600X or 9600X with an RTX 5060, and I’d also like the option to upgrade the GPU later on .

Since I’ll be traveling between school and home during breaks, portability is pretty important to me. I’m mainly looking for a budget-friendly case that’s compact enough to be manageable for air travel — ideally something that could work as a carry-on or at least be easy to transport safely.

May I know options I have with me.

Thank you!
