1 year old cat getting defensive out of nowhere.

I got my cat when she was 6 weeks old. At the time, I had a 12-month-old, and they got along really well. She played with my child and slept with him every night. Since then, I've had a second baby who is now 5 months old. My cat seemed to adjust pretty well; she would lick the baby, rub against him, and try to sleep in the crib with him. However, recently she has been going up to my baby and scratching or biting him, or if she's lying near him and he tries to come up to her, she gets defensive. Also, if my now toddler is running around, she comes out of nowhere and scratches him. I will be honest, my toddler sometimes goes after her, trying to play with her when she's not in the mood, but I always correct that behavior right away. My question is, why is she suddenly doing this? She is 100% healthy she was brought to the vet a month ago for a checkup. Does she more of her own space ? I just want her to be happy and now feel stressed.

I lost control of myself now i hate myself

I was fighting with my boyfriend today all night long over the day we had. I hate that I can even say this, but he slapped my two-year-old twice over him legitimately just trying to get his attention.

I held it together in front of my child then, but later in the day my two-year-old was playing with our cat. I'll admit he doesn't know when to stop with her, but I usually tell him to leave her alone and he will. I was putting my infant to bed when my two-year-old fell and hit his head. He was crying, and he just wanted my boyfriend to give him a hug. My boyfriend turned him away and said no.

The way my baby cried broke me and made me snap. I questioned my boyfriend on why he would do that, and he just said he shouldn't be playing with the cat that way. For an hour I was just trying to get it through my boyfriend's head that it wasn't the right way to handle that, and he just gave no care about what I was saying. I don't know why I try. He never does.

Then he said something about living with his friend. I grabbed his phone and went to give it to him, basically saying, "Go." He hit the phone out of my hand and broke it, but that was like four hours ago.

Now, after probably only 30 minutes of sleep and waking up twice with my infant, he came into the room asking for a T-shirt. Half asleep, I was trying to tell him where it was. He said something about me being an idiot, and because of the way I put his shirt on a hanger, he called me a racial slur. I just freaked out. I lost my cool. I took his clothes out of my room and threw them at him and started asking if he was kidding me.

Then he said something about how I'm an idiot because I turned on the AC and how I broke the outlet by the way I unplugged it. I don't know if that was from me or if the outlet was just old.

Again, stupidly, I asked him why he hit our son. He just said he didn't, even though earlier he had said he was trying to teach him to respect him. I completely lost control of myself and jumped on him and bit him.

Now I feel like such a low person because the thing I always preach against, I ended up doing. I hate violence. I watched it all my life. I just want a normal family life—not even normal, just peaceful.

I hate myself for letting myself lose control. I hate myself for getting pregnant by a man like this. I don't know what to do anymore. I try so hard to be a good person, a good mother, and a good girlfriend. I just can't be those things when he's around.

I don't want my kids to grow up with parents who argue and fight like this i understand the line i crossed but it always seems like im understanding my faults

Breastfeeding and taking zoloft

I just got prescribed Zoloft. I feel really bad about needing it and taking it while breastfeeding. Is there anything I should look out for, or does anyone have experience with it?

As the title says, my neighbor keeps bothering my family. He lives on the same lot as us, just in a tiny home in the backyard.

The first time, he rang our doorbell at 5 a.m. after my boyfriend left for work, and he kept doing it for a few minutes.

The second time was just two days ago. We were having cake for my son’s birthday, pretty late at night (around 8:30). All of a sudden, he started banging on our back door, which is glass, so it was very loud. It scared me and my sons to the point that they started crying.

My boyfriend looked through the curtain and asked who it was. When he saw it was him, he asked what he wanted. It was obvious he was under the influence of something. Then he came around to the front door, knocked and rang the bell, and said something about how his dead brother (who was our landlord) wanted my boyfriend’s head. During all of this, he broke the outside lights I had put up.

I feel like we should tell our current landlord about this, but my boyfriend doesn’t want to bother them. What should we do?
