Claude can now help me create reusable PDF templates instead of one-off PDFs

I connected Claude to my PDF template builder so it can create and update reusable PDF templates, then render an editable PDF output.

The useful part is that it is not just generating a one-off PDF. The template can be reused with different data for invoices, receipts, certificates, forms, and other business documents.

Under the hood it uses an MCP server, but the demo is really about making PDF/document automation easier from Claude.

Would love feedback on whether this workflow seems useful.

MCP is available at pdfmakerapi

Looking for a Marketing/Sale Cofounder for B2B Software App (already developed)

Hi there, I'm a software developer with 10 years of experience building for SaaS businesses . I'm located in California, US.

I've spent a few months working on a product that solves a pain point I've experienced multiple times which is consistent PDF Generation at scale. Often times we have to code PDF/Documents and any sorts of edits requires a developer and a deployment. The layout is brittle and breaks whenever text overflow or runs off the page.

For this problem I built PDFMakerAPI which creates a system where anyone can easily design a PDF Template using an intuitive visual designer and your developers simply need to call a REST API endpoint with the json data to generate the PDF.

I'm looking for a cofounder that might be interested in this idea or anything similar (we can pivot the system to something specific) but the general pdf templating solution is already built. I'm open to anyone that can help find users and grow our userbase, specifically anyone in marketing or sales.

I created a PDF-generation MCP server: describe a document, get an editable PDF link (works in Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT)

Most PDF MCP servers I tried only read PDFs or convert Markdown. I wanted the opposite just describe a document and get a real, editable one back so I built this.

You say something like "make an invoice for Acme with 3 line items" and it returns a link to a finished PDF (headings, tables, totals) that you can edit field-by-field and download. Invoices, certificates, reports, resumes, letters.

One tool, create_document. No API key.

Install (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline, VS Code):

 {
    "mcpServers": {
      "pdfmakerapi": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "@pdfmakerapi/mcp"] }
    }
  }

Or the hosted remote: https://api.pdfmakerapi.com/mcp

I created PDF Maker GPT for creating PDFs you can fill out via form using ChatGPT

Hey everyone, I’ve been working on PDF Maker GPT, a ChatGPT tool for creating polished PDFs from simple prompts.

It can help generate PDFs like:

  • invoices
  • offer letters
  • business reports
  • forms
  • certificates
  • simple documents with structured layouts

The main idea is that you can describe the PDF you want, preview it, and fill out the details through a form-style workflow inside ChatGPT instead of manually formatting everything in Word, Google Docs, or Canva.

I built it for people who want a faster way to create professional PDFs using ChatGPT, especially when they need something clean and reusable.

You can try it here:

Would love feedback on what types of PDFs people would want it to support next.

Are there any apps that let you search exact menu items from restaurants in your city?

I have an idea for an app where you can search exact items like "Flan", "clam chowder" etc. and it pulls a list of all restauarants that have that item in a list so you can easily see what the menu item found is.

The reason i got this idea is because whenever i search for specific foods in yelp or google i have to do investigation and go through the links and pictures to see if they actually have the food item.

App idea

Does anyone know of any apps that already do this or think this would be useful?

I was tired of searching specific foods via Yelp or Google so I built a searchable dish directory for my state in California.

Hey everyone, I often found myself taking a while to search for specific foods like "Birria Tacos" or "Flan" and having to search through the pictures or info on Yelp or Google to find a place near me that has it. Also I find the reviews for the overall restaurant are a deterrent to discovering places that have good dishes of specific foods.

That led me to create a directory of scraped menu information for my entire state of California so that I can simply type what dish I want like "Flan" and it shows a list of the places near me that have that dish easily viewable with links to the restaurants website.

Let me know what you guys think about this

I can share the link to the site via PM

Mealquery is the name of the app

Battlespace - persistent space MMO RTS looking for alpha play testers

Solo dev. I've been building Battlespace and I'm getting close to V1 playtest. Posting here to find folks interested in testing early and to get gut reactions on the concept.

Not yet playable. Gathering interest before V1 opens.

The pitch

You wake up after 10,000 years to discover the universe moved on without you. Battlespace is a persistent always-on space MMO where you're an Overseer — a station-scale machine intelligence emerging from forced dormancy into a fractured galaxy now run by rival factions who didn't wait for you.

Your station literally is you. Your ships have names. The world keeps running while you're offline.

The world

Multi-sector universe. Sector Nova is your safe home; beyond it lie contested mining grounds, faction strongholds, and Null Zones where the rules of the Severance still don't apply.

Seven factions with distinct motives — mining cartels, neutral traders, ruin-divers, an ancient automated law system, other awakened Overseers (some allies, some not), and something corrupted at the edges that nobody talks about openly.

The fleet

Every ship is bonded to a Sentient — a smaller machine intelligence with a generated name, personality, and rarity tier (Common → Mythic). Building a ship is a "designation reveal" — you learn who you've awakened. Losing a ship hurts because it had a name.

Your Sentient Uplink building caps how many ships you can field. T1 = 5 active ships, T4 = 100. Upgrading it is the hard expansion gate — not about money, about infrastructure.

What's working

Real-time multiplayer, mining→refining→build loop, T1 buildings and ship classes, 3D stylized RTS visuals, desktop + Android mobile.

What's planned

Multi-sector expansion, faction diplomacy, higher ore + ship tiers, 5-act main quest, PvP in contested sectors.

Why I'm posting

Looking for a small group of people who like persistent worlds, slow strategy, and interesting lore/

If you want on the early playtest list, drop a comment or DM me. I'll reach out when V1 opens.
