Went to look up the lyrics of Arrogant Boy and noticed this. Doubt that they’re fake because who on earth would take the time to actually write fake lyrics for the entirety of a late-period Deep Purple album? They seem consistent with Ian’s lyrical style too.
My only question is… who put them there and where did they find them???
Been wondering this since the cover artwork was unveiled. It’s a great album cover, and the additional artwork seen throughout the physical editions is just as good. I’ve seen a lot of people worried that it’s AI art, but the art style is too consistent across all the graphics for me to think it’s AI. It certainly looks human drawn, but it’s a bit weird to me that they haven’t said who did the art yet. The art style reminds me so much of Roger Dean, but I’m sure they would’ve actually revealed it was him if it was, his name alone would be enough to sell some copies.
I saw an instagram comment say the artwork was “a collaboration between Ian Gillan, Olaf Heine, Candy Medusa and Bob Ezrin”, but no source so it obviously could be someone just making shit up. Also as I said the art style is consistent enough that I would be surprised if it was multiple people working together.
