Missouri mushroom people — this one’s for you 🍄

If you’re into mushrooms, foraging, or just spending time in the woods, I wanted to share this!
The Missouri Mycological Society is hosting Brad’s Fall Foray September 17–20 at Knob Noster State Park.
It’s basically four days of mushroom hunting, learning, eating, and hanging out with a bunch of people who get way too excited when they find something cool growing on a log. 😂🍄
We’ve got a pretty incredible lineup this year, including guided mushroom forays, mushroom ID, expert speakers, a native plant hike, wild foods, workshops, vendors, bonfires, good food, and plenty of time in the woods.
You definitely don’t need to be a mushroom expert. Beginners are welcome, and honestly, a foray is one of the best ways to learn because you’re actually out finding mushrooms with people who know what they’re looking at.
📍 Knob Noster State Park, Missouri
📅 September 17–20, 2026
If anyone has questions about the event, what a mushroom foray is like, lodging, or anything else, I’m happy to answer them!
