Hey everyone. My wife whom I sponsored to canada tried applying visitor for her mom to visit newborn. We showed both of my and her tax statements, salary slips, bank accounts statements. Her mom doesn't own any property, or receive any rent but tried showing ties like small income she receives from her small home business. Mom has around 5k cad and we explained we will support her during the visit. Our family income is enough to support 1 person. TRV got rejected due to officer not convinced that she will return and with the reason for travel isnt consistent with what stated in the application.

Now am thinking of applying super visa by myself. My wife doubts that since she is sponsored by me she could not apply super visa for her mom or they will decline it, is it true? She is PR. Any benefit of waiting until she gets citizenship ? Thanks.

Ok so am moving straight on vodden st e and approaching the intersection of vodden and centre st n. There is one lane to go straight and a right lane for just right turn. The guy is waiting at intersection to turn left and people as you know take slight gap and anyways move straight. I slowed down to ensure gap is there. 1 ass came and went straight from the right turning lane overtaking everyone who were ahead of him. The other ass was coming from right turning lane and I managed to go straight from my straight lane and he got pissed off that i did not allow him to overtake going straight from fucking right turning lane.

Then he dares to stare inside my car to look at me at next intersection. I flipped him off. He deserved it.

Fucking retards. Driving good cars but having no brain. I just imagine how these retards have money to afford a car when they cant respect basic rules of driving and roads here.

Edit: I am not saying again all indians are bad drivers I am an indian but since Brampton has significant indian diaspora the pattern is quite visible. I have seen some blacks do it and then few (few) whites. Once I was at mississauga, exiting the highway ramp and the white guy was tail gating me, flipped me off for driving speed limit in right lane and then tried overtaking me from left and I wanted to go left too. These People dont have patience and humility. Called me paki. Hurled insults and I filed the report there (never received any comms or progress on it).

We all sometimes do it but there is a limit (i mean you can take u turn at your own risk better if there is no oncoming traffic) but tell me if you are at wrong why would you honk at me in return instead of being patient and accepting fault and then stare at me like you wanna have a fight ?

I have also noticed one growing pattern. People driving way fast on countryside roads always blowing speed limits. Look at that Caledon road near vintage Cafe. People driving way faster on one lane roads too and even during the construction. Constructions zones are meant for slow driving.

Guys speed limit means it is the max not the minimum. I wonder if people know it. Do we need to educate them now ?

Anyone here have traveled to dubai from india and then from dubai to Toronto, visitor visa for both countries. Planning to stay in dubai for 2 weeks followed with flight to toronto to visit me and wife.

Anyone having experience with immigration at India side, do they ask for return flight back from dubai or showing them Toronto to Delhi flight which will be within 6 months enough ?

Have heard indian airport immigration or flight rules are weird.

I have been a scrum master for some years with 13 years of experience in total. I call myself as sr scrum master.

I have been victim of politics where the client had pushed back when my team has asked tons of questions related to application, cloud infra which wasnt under our scope. Our team was brand new and these were legacy products. Our team got ramped down due to asking "too many" questions and they expected us to know everything. I have worked in team where even pointing out the story pointing is not done right or asking why comments arent present is something they didnt encourage. I once asked a senior why he isnt joining the meetings. I got dialed in on team with threatening tone since I had pinged in the group about him not joining leaving him exposed.

Fast forward to now. Am helping a team implement scrum now this team is not vocal except one member who pushes back on what I say saying this is not the way he,she did in last organization. This person is new to org.

Conversations like having product backlog refinement, slicing the stories, challenging if description isn't clear, telling we should be categorizing work in epics that can be closed every 3 months, doing story pointing per complexity is something they dont understand easily and sometime I have been told they dont care about and tell me straight away they dont care how i decide to do. I thought of building norms with team and i got no response back and had pointers to refer to from my last teams to start the conversation and the response was I shouldnt be writing them without consulting them ehicj i agree but the purpose of meeting was that itself and I had shared the page with a resource weeks back via chat. This same person didnt share the feedback with me on chat and decided to say it in the call that I should not bring these pointers to enforce it. My purpose was to discuss, get consensus and not enforce. I cleared it in agenda.

Note this person is the only one vocal and built out the whole backlog using AI and team vision which I appreciate but neither I or PO was involved during creation. This person is unprofessional in responding to conversations related to scrum. This person also brought all the pain points about unclear backlog, roadmap and priorities in 1st ever retro I had. It was all valid but I felt this person is criticizing and blaming. I mean that was our 1st sprint, backlog refinement and setting product goals arent a game of 1 day.

The manager is thinking scrum isn't working due to tough convos and team being silent but I feel product owner has to step up in owning backlog and avoid letting someone else hijack it. The knowledge of backlog isnt decentralized and only one or 2 people know about the stories created. I know PO should prioritize, story point with devs, and write them but in my org everything is done by SM along with coaching and enforcing scrum ceremonies and discussions, removing blockers.

How do I handle this team ? What should I do as SM ? Let me know what wrong am doing. Many Thanks for reading it and giving time.

Edit: I suspect this vocal person is either not enough experienced or playing politics. Manager has not any strong opinion on this person but I do have that this person isn't helping the team implement scrum.

The team wants lot of flexibility in terms of closing stories, pulling stories whenever they want because they dont know what's gonna come next and when, they may come to know what all they planned for in sprint isnt even right because its ever changing due to experimentation nature of project. We arent building user product. We are building support service that will support product teams.

This team had difficulty when I asked the team to update comments frequently (not daily) and faced push back. I never told anyone to update comment since then.

The VW dealership is doing work on fuel injector wire harness which is covered under extended warranty. They told me its good time to get carbon cleaning done and since they have to anyways open the intake and half of labor is already be going in they re gonna charge me 670 plus taxes for carbon cleaning if I agree.

The normal cost of carbon cleaning is 1350 plus taxes if i come back to them and ask to do it separately.

Started hearing out turbo whistle when going at 70 or 80 during acceleration pushing the paddle down and sututu noise when throttle is closing (brief noise though).

It also happens at slower speeds as well when pushing the paddle significantly to accelerate hard. The turbo makes a whistle sound and then sututu sound when closing the throttle paddle. Sounds like compressor surge (did a lot of research on YouTube here).

I got the diagnosing done from german specialized motors and they ran the smoke test. Good news is they did NOT find any leaks so they told me the problem could be diverter valve needing replacement. This valve job is to divert the excess air appropriately as I understand and its not doing the job causing surge/ stall.

After a month, suddenly had epc light came on while driving highway when merging starting accelerating and it went into limp mode. Managed to take exit and parked in lot. Restarted car and it got fine. purchased cheap obd2 scanner (45 cad) and it says no code is stored.

Quotes:

Original shop: Quoted me for 250 for diverter valve and 250 for labor

1st shop: Called another shop they said 175 for part and 80 dollars for labor.

2nd shop: Called another shop they quoted 250 for part and 440 for labor

3rd shop: Called another shop quoted 800 dollar including labor and part (no breakdown here)

What should I do ? Am thinking Get the diverter valve changed from 1st shop (since they quoted me less) and hope its the troubled part because if it doesnt solve the problem I end up wasting labor cost.

Why the duck when sat and sun comes it starts raining.

Hey everyone I have shared this earlier and I would like to tell that there is a turbo hiss or swoosh noice that is now very audible when I accelerate and it releases as well. Just like a mod (except I didn't do any)

I got it checked and they checked for the turbo leaks using smoke testing and they found no leak. Thank god. They now are saying that it could be diaphragm that needs replacement that sits on top of turbo and they would have disassemble and put.

The cost of part is around 250 and 250 for labor. Am looking at 500 plus taxes. He also said if this doesnt solve the problem then turbo itself is having the problem which is another story.

I am able to drive normally except little more fuel consumption and probably little lack in acceleration.

What do you guys suggest me doing here ? Should I take the chance with diaphragm change ? OR i see another shop for re diagnosis ?

There were 3 or 4 people and one of them was throwing punches to the other who got blood coming out of his region around eye while others were standing or praising the fight. I yelled Hey Stop, am calling cops, the female came to me and told me mind your business that am a rat, and they dispersed.

They went inside the addiction treatment center and after 30 mins I asked the pharmacy staff whether the guy who got beaten is fine. Staff told he is sent to hospital for stitches. I didn't see any ambulance, fire or cops personnel btw.

I called anonymous crime stoppers they told victim has to come forward to be able to proceed on such matters and with me knowing nothing about him they can't file it.

Do I have anything remaining to do here as a citizen now ? I don't know anything about them except what I wrote above.

So this is how it happened.

I get a call from my neighbor who runs the grocery store. She tells me her car is gone and I tell her am coming.

Her husband and daughter in law join as well.

The car owner owns the convenience store and after analyzing the cameras. The guy with black shiny hoodie and Jeans with something hanging out from his right back pocket wearing a mask appeared to be driving her car out and guess what this stupid person went into convenience store before stealing her car. He bought something from her on cash and owner tells me he was looking suspicious probably armed too (not sure). He is anyway on camera and his eyes are visible. He is black.

Now outside he goes and starts chatting with one another masked guy in Durango and a white guy in jeep. They appear to be jumping between cars until the black masked guy who went to convenience store too started the car and took it out.

We matched his dressing and hoodie color to be sure that he was the one driving and rest followed/ escorted him in Durango and jeep. Everything captured on multiple cameras.

If you see a black guy with shiny jacked and a jean with some id card or some piece hanging out of his right rear pocket. He has a Grey hoodie inside the black shiny jacket. Do let me know.

If you see anything suspicious let me know. I want to help the neighbor out as much as I can. I will post the registration number once I get it from owner in morning.

BTW she called cops and they said its non emergency and put in each detail in chatgpt. As per it it is targeted and professional organized theft ring job.

Guys kindly put trackers in your car and get the aftermarket jammer installed especially for Honda owners. I have a Honda in my family. Am gonna get it done on it so that it doesnt start at all no matter what you do.
