In May, I was put on 40 mg of Pepcid twice daily and pantaprozol once. I understand the former is over the counter and the other is more heavy duty. I asked the doctor at my appointment last Tuesday if I was fine to stop taking them once I ran out. They said since I was asymptomatic, I was. And they seemed rather nonchalant about it and also did not recommend an endoscopy especially since I traced my reflux back to my dramatic uptick in coffee drinking last February. (Prior to February, I had never even touched espressos or gas station coffee except for a few times a month.)

I stopped Pantoprazole cold turkey Monday and Pepcid cold turkey today, hoping that I continue to be asymptomatic, and I was, until today, which was the first day being off both. Devastated that my reflux was back as if it had never left, I reached for a Tums. Guys, I’m so dismayed and sad right now. I was an idiot to pretty much not push for an endoscopy and now I have to go back to my GP.

My general symptoms are just the nagging feeling in my throat. I don’t get the sour feeling or burning in chest. Today, I did eat red enchiladas which were very hot, 500ml of coke, and an espresso.

I just need some reassurance or advice. I’m just down in general.

It has been decided that DGF VI will be used to pick an entrant for SCS.
I decided to introduce a wildcard round which will determine the sixth entrant of DGF VI. It’s simple. You guys comment below an artist which you think would be great for DGF. I will sift through the comments and choose one artist as the wildcard/sixth entrant for DGF along with the five entries on my shortlist.
