So I guess the colors don’t mean much anymore?

Image 1 is the correct contrast as viewed in Photoshop.
Image 2 is the same file once added to Preview. There is a significant increase in contrast is added by merely opening it in the Preview app. This is a sample image but the images I am needing to place in Preview have much subtler tones that get absolutely ruined by this contrast increase.
Why on earth would the app auto-adjust contrast without me being able to turn it off???
It doesn't seem to matter if it is a JPG or PNG.
I need to make a PDF for a presentation and the images are ruined by the contrast increase.
WTF?¿?

"We spent six years contemplating a fascist takeover of a galaxy far, far away. Six years thinking about what happens to ordinary beings when an authoritarian, insane, unchecked regime comes in for the kill. And the show is really kind of what we learned.
If you're not willing to fight for the things that you love, your family, your community, your culture, your planet, the truth, freedom, if you're not willing to fight for it, there is an asshole ready to come in and take it away from you.
And, um… Fuck the empire”
I'm using Firefox desktop. Mac Os. All Unifi apps up to date.
I can still access my site with local IP. But not sure why I'm locked out of the Unifi address.
It just hangs when loading with the message "this is taking longer than usual".
