Is it possible for matter to be completely destroyed so that it no longer exists and nothingness?

I know this is a physics question, but I felt it could benefit from a more unconventional way of thinking. Maybe thinking outside the box? Now, I have these 3 questions as follows:

1. Is it possible for matter to be completely destroyed so that it no longer exists at all?

2. I was wondering whether it’s really possible to keep cutting something in half forever. I know that, according to our current understanding of physics, there comes a point where you reach particles that can’t be divided any further. However, I’m not sure I fully understand what that means. as far as I know particles aren’t really there, they are just maths that describes our observations. And no one has seen a particle in the lab or a collider before, all are indirect observations that we then interpret as being a particle. So again, is it possible that it turned into “Nothingness”?

3. I’m wondering whether there are multiple definitions of “nothingness.” I know that space, time, and laws is impossible. But assuming I destroyed an object, the object is gone = Nothingness?

Experience with Mud?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone ever used mud, silt or fine clay as a substrate before, no cap. I plan to scape a wetland aquarium. Something similar to photo below, not mine btw, credits goes to original poster.

Sick of my country

I’ve officially hit my breaking point. Living in Thailand feels like watching a country run entirely on corruption and zero accountability.

Everywhere you look, there are buildings that are never finished and dams just abandoned. The law is a joke ,people literally drive on the sidewalks and go down the wrong side of the road. A rich company recently released an invasive species that caused huge ecological damage, but because they’re rich, they’re untouchable and just sue anyone who tells the truth. Elections are openly bought, they clearly give money to you.

toxic family dynamics are normalized by my culture (and even therapists), and the police are completely useless. I literally report a scammer a few days ago and just got a 20 minute lecture on how it wasn’t their business.

But the final straw happened two weeks ago. My entire town flooded for the first time in my life and some houses were submerged up to the roofs all because corrupt officials botched a new waterway project under the road and just walked away from it.

Politicians are destroying everything from our forests and wetlands to local fisheries just so they could get money. I’m just so sick of it. Now I’m non-religious, mind my own business, and I'm planning to move to a Western country soon. I know some people might hate on me for this, but I just need to get out.

are the stitches as bad as I think they are?

A week ago (I’m Thai, 21M, 175cm tall, 56kg, this happened in Thailand), I got a deep cut on my arm from a wooden plank. Fat tissue was exposed, so I quickly went to the ER where they cleaned and stitched the wound. I didn’t feel much pain at the time. I got antibiotic as well.

The stitches looked pretty bad, but I didn’t think too much of it. They told me to go to a local small hospital for daily wound cleaning. However, the nurse there often didn’t even wear gloves, even after dressing other patients.

Yesterday, they removed the stitches and I realized how bad it actually looks, there’s still bleeding. The nurse even commented that the stitches have been looking bad lately for other patients too, so the ER might have had a new/inexperienced nurse.

Today, I went to another local clinic. They cleaned and dressed the wound again and told me to wait. Again, the doctor didn’t wear gloves. I can’t really report anything here.

So my question is: are the stitches as bad as I think they are?

I got scammed by Undertale Determination concert scalper, please help me share this post.

So yesterday, I tried to buy tickets for the Undertale Determination Concert in Thailand. Apparently, scalper bots bought all of the tickets within just one minute.

Resellers were all over Facebook, so I ended up buying from one of them. They sold me two 1,200-baht seats for 5,250 baht, which is about $160 USD.

Unfortunately, it seems that I got scammed. I'll probably report it to the police.

Can anyone help share this post to prevent others from buying from this reseller?

My weight and height

I (21M) was wondering about my weight and height. I'm a very skinny Asian male, 175 cm tall and weigh 56 kg. I can see my ribcage, but I can also see my abs very clearly. I have very thin wrists and a small waist also, and I've been like this since I was around 16.

I was wondering if anyone else is built similarly. Am I too skinny, or is this normal for some people?

First time talking with my (21M) father (50M)

I'm 21M, Thai, (175cm tall, 56kg) a feminine looking guy who talks like a gay guy. But I like girls. I've talked to a girl who's 3 years older than me. Does that mean I'm not very masculine?

My parents divorced before I was born. I grew up with my single mother and her family. I only recently talked to my father (50M) for the first time in my life because I was curious about what kind of person he was, so I searched his name online. I contacted him through Facebook. He gave me his number but refused to talk on chat; he only wanted to talk on the phone. I called, and I regret it.

He asked about my life. I told him about my life. I'm interested in botany, I discovered a new distribution area of a particular plant species in southern Thailand, I cultivate native plankton, I play the piano, I breed native beetles, I have a business degree, and I'll have my own page in a one of the fishkeeping expert book.

Instead of giving a compliment, he asked: "Why don't you get a more masculine haircut? (Based on my profile picture)" "Why don't you play sports?" "Why don't you lift weights?" "Why don't you do something that girls like?" "Why don't you have muscles?" "Why aren't you cool?" And then they asked if I had a girlfriend or something like that. I jokingly replied (I said my girlfriend likes effeminate guys), and then I got answers like, "No, it has to be this way, it has to be that way," for 40 minutes until I had to say I had an errand to run and hang up.

I have a mixed feeling whether I should continue this relationship or not.
