So I'm on to TR3

I told myself about a month ago, after playing the Square Enix TR games obsessively multiple times, that I would one day go back and play every Lara Croft title out there. Now I really liked TR1 and 2 and both of their 'expansion packs', but TR3 seems to take things to a whole new level

  1. Increased mobility and slight changes to grab and jump windows, and more reliable dives and flips.
  2. enemies that had different purposes and strategies besides 'shoot and/or move towards you. Snakes were traps on the ground, the Shiva like statues put up a guard (i haven't gotten far enough into the game to see more good examples yet
  3. a slightly more hinted landscape. instead of just a mass of tunnels where you don't know where they lead or how they're connected to eachother, they just feel more natural
  4. there's a supporting cast of characters. this makes the game feel much less lonely and repetitive
  5. trap sequences (this is a positive and a negative) are more telegraphed, but usually more dangerous, requiring more speed or skill to outmaneuver
  6. even on the remaster, the textures are much improved over the previous titles. the foliage in the jungle and the water's surface were an improvement that made me feel more immersed

idk how i'll feel by the end of the game, but as for right now, this is my favorite one yet

Tomb Raider 2 PC

Not the remakes. Can you play the Golden Mask levels WITHOUT beating the main game? I just beat TR2 on Playstation, and don't want to go through it again just to play the extra levels =(

is dino crisis enemy and items random each playthrough?

i'm watching 2 people play it, and i'm playing ahead, and everybody is having slightly different experiences to me. i'm wondering if it's random, or if it's region/difficulty/ng+/etc

Burner won't flee!

I'm playing on Replay Mode, and it's been about 8 minutes, and the burner will not run away. what am i doing wrong? do i need to get him into his second phase?

Update: I finally got him to flee at just over the 16 minute mark. i sat in the hallway by the stairs, and shot hit in the mouth with one bullet every time he tried to flame me. eventually he went away. I don't know why, but I know it wasn't 3 minutes of avoiding him. It seems like you have to wait the 3 minutes, and THEN bring his HP down.

guns in the shooting range?

there are a lot of 'available gun' choices for the shooting gallery. im on my first replay and noticed that only the M23R is available. how do you get these remaining guns available for the range? i had most of them at the end of my first playthrough
