What do you guys think about RSVP etiquette? I had sent invitations a month earlier as it is during holidays. Should I follow up with those who haven’t or leave it there?

Advice on Nanny

First of all, I want to thank this community for helping me so much when I first had my babies, the advice gave me so much ideas and we ended up with a wonderful nanny. Unfortunately she’s on a visa so she had to leave.

We are now searching for a second one.

She is still learning English but her written messages are absolutely clear. We had a quick video chat and I’m not sure how to feel. While there was a language barrier, she can still communicate well verbally. She misunderstood a few questions for example; how was your experience working as a nanny, what were your duties like bla bla. We told her about her family, hours and what duties include but she didn’t ask us any questions during the chat, just that she’d ask once she started - and she was available anytime and start asap, nothing about our toddler or baby routines.

I have told her we can do a trial and see how it goes? Am I thinking too much? She has then sent a message about meals and bedtime routines.

My sisters always comment that my toddler (2.7 years) is underweight and too skinny but he is a ball of energy and always moving. Whilst my sister’s daughter (16 months) weighs a bit more than the recommended weight. She always comes over because I love having her over and especially playing with her cousins.

Last night my husband was throwing my toddler up in the air and it was her turn and he nearly dropped her, he told my other sister that she’s gone fat, stocky where my other sister spat back that our kid is underweight and we need to do some thing. Obviously it didn’t receive well on both ends where she left, annoyed.

The thing is I am on my husband’s side, she hardly runs or is active and my sister feeds her a lot. She was a premmie baby and she obviously wants her to do grow but she should be learning how to eat on her own but my sister doesn’t allow her.

But I do not agree on calling a kid fat. How do I resolve this?
