I'm on my last-ditch effort with my 2009 Chevy Malibu 1LT with 191K miles. The car runs decently for its age and mileage. A few weeks ago, I got an engine light and a P0420 code. The muffler shop got the same code and said I needed a new Cat. $1100 and 2 weeks later, the engine light and code came back. The shop told me the first one they installed was melted, but they warranted it and replaced it. Has anyone ever experienced this or could point me in the right direction? I can't leave it at a shop for diagnosis, as it's my only transportation and I work in construction. Can I just replace the spark plugs, injectors, and coil packs, or is this maybe a timing issue? Please help..

Over the weekend while driving on the highway my engine light came on. Code came Back as P0420 bank 1. I had a minor exhaust repair in June, front exhaust pipe broke off flex pipe if i remember. Car was fine afer. Shop that did the repair said i need a new catalytic converter. I dont wanna dump much more into this car. Is there cheaper alternative fixes or bypasses to get me through the year? Liqui molly cat cleaner, cataclean, straight pipe? Just need to make it to spring and buy a new car.

Bummed after praising my Malibu’s fuel economy in another post, while driving on the highway my engine light came on. 190k miles. Code came back po420 bank 1 catalyst system low efficiency. Recently had some minor exhaust work done, front exhaust pipe broke off the catalytic converter. With that being said anyone have any experience with this or can lead me in the right direction.

To start, I don't really think it's a stick drift issue. More of a broken/unresponsive part. I have little to no response on my left controller's analog stick when pushing it in roughly the 1-3 o'clock position. Like if I push the analog to the 1-3 position, it will just stop and return to center. I've removed the faceplate and analog cap, cleaned with alcohol and an air duster, and it seems to help for an hour or so, then back to being unresponsive. I know there are kits/replacement analog sticks to swap in, but I don't feel qualified to do that. A replacement controller is like $80 from Meta. Are there any other cheap fixes before I end up having to replace the controller completely?

One of my A pillar tweeters and rear deck speakers has started to crackle a bit. What are some good budget coax 6.5, 6.x9in speakers I can install with the stock head unit in my 2009 Malibu?

Id like to hardwire a dash cam, and Carplay screen in my 2009 Malibu. Id like to power the Carplay screen with ACC power and the dash cam with both BAT and ACC for parking monitoring and battery V cutoff. Can both ACC wires be on one fuse? The easiest means to me is to add a female 12v cigarette fuse tap with the dashcam connected to a ACC fuse, and the dashcam BAT fuse tap? Is this the recommended method or is there a easier way?

With Exfilzone being one of, if not the top, VR multiplayer shooter/extraction games currently out, I wonder what people's thoughts are on the future of the game. I would like to see the game go on a much larger scale, more of a mil-sim, maybe like an Arma VR route. Maybe armored vehicles and transport helicopters to start. Having games such as ForeFront and Warplanes its possible to develop attack aerial vehicles.
