Wtf happened 😭

I gave this fully rooted cutting to a coworker and he had it less than a week. It looks like he repotted it which I had already put into a new pot before giving him. Is it shock from being repotted too many times?

My cutting decided to variegate!

My lemon lime philodendron cutting is now looking like brasil who sits near by. This isn’t the first time I’ve had a plant start to copy another plant but it is my first water cutting that has lol. She was popping out a bunch of leaves under water so I figured it’s time for a big pot. I was going to gift this one too but I think I might keep her lol

She’s so big now 🖤❤️

I just added some more sticks to help promote her to grow more straight. Is it okay that her top leaves are so straight up?

Help did I hurt her?

I brought my indoor plants outside tonight to treat for spider mites with spinosad. It’s diluted before I sprayed by half with water. I was washing off the excess water off my balcony with more water not thinking about my plants below the balcony being affected. I flew down the stairs to move my firetrumpet bc my friend made a home here. There are droplets of water on her nest. I can’t tell how much her nest is still pretty dry but I want to cry. I was already not wanting to do this due to worrying about my other jumping spiders in the area and how it may affect my plants. Did I hurt her? Is she going to be okay? I’m so freaking mad at myself this is the last thing I wanted to happen 😞😞😞💔💔

I think I’m a lavender serial killer?

I always always always kill lavender. I found a TikTok that broke down that why most people kill lavender. It seemed to back up the research I did. I got this tiny lavender plant for $5 at HEB and it literally died a week later. I repotted into a super chunky airy mix. Like 70% perlite 30% succulent mix. Put in a terracotta pot and watered. I do live in Texas and it’s been soooooo hot. It did rain the next day after I repotted and watered but I didn’t think it got in the pot itself. It gets lots of direct light. Any tips on what I can do to not kill another lavender plant?

Problems from top to bottom

Hello! I’ve been having some struggles with Ms. Pepe. She is now starting to fall over and all her big bottom leaves look rough. I dropped a plant on her last November and she just hasn’t bounced back right. Her new growth looks funny she was repotted last year and was doing fine! I fertilized her a couple weeks ago and she really perked up but I’m still worried there may be deeper issues. I do not see any roots at the bottom so I think she’s good on her pot. I don’t want to stress her out more. I monitor her leaves to see when to water and do let her dry out a tad before watering. I did see someone post theirs a week or two ago and it was growing sideways out of the pot like a pilea. Is that just how she’s supposed to go? Do I need to stake her? I have so many questions. Any advice? I seem to have a harder time finding help with Rain drop peps.

Also she did flower recently(that’s why she has powder on her) so I felt good! She pushed out a couple flowers and now seems to be done but that’s when I noticed her flopping over a little. Don’t tell me she’s dying 😢

Why is it red?

Hello! I first got this baby as a tiny cutting with only 3 leaves. She has absolutely taken off! I’m pretty sure her original vine died at the end she shot out a new vine out which is what you’re looking at wrapped around the trellis. I watered her this Friday and she’s looked the same until today. Is this new growth that I just never noticed before or is she not doing good now? I have been watering a little more often since I have all my plants together in one room. I don’t think I over watered her. I have them under a grow light from 7am to about 6:30/7pm. Maybe she’s happier now? I hope so lol.

I think she’s a carnosa. She has some speckling but no crazy variation. She also was sunburned in April and dropped a few old leaves and has a couple half damaged.

Betty’s Butterfly - my biggest piece ever

Hello 😊 I recently moved to my new apartment in April. This place is huge! I have so much wall space to fill so I decided to create something to fill a wall that you see when you first walk in. I started on 6/12 and finished on 6/30. I was inspired by this vintage make up tin that was my great grandma Betty’s. I reached out to my grandma to ask where it came from and what were grandma Betty’s favorite colors. She wore a lot of baby pink which is why the butterfly is a soft pink. She decorated with maroons and deep greens and gold. I did my best to give the roses a deep maroon color. The frame is green and gold to really tie in her colors. The make up case is from Turkey from when my family was stationed in Europe during 60s to 70s. It still has powder in it and my mom has said it smells just like her. I come from a small family of strong women. My grandma is the oldest of two(she only has one younger brother who only has daughters), my mother is an only child, and I am her only child. I never got to meet my Great Grandma Betty. She died 3 years before I was born but the way my family speaks of her she really sounds amazing. I normally use acrylic paint to make my art but I’ve started using pastels since February and I’ve really enjoyed them. I know it’s not perfect but I’m happy and love it!

Pammy update!🥰💚

So I think we are settling well into the new place! I feel like ALL of my plants have grown so much bigger. Their leaves are starting to look massive!

Also that’s a monstera grow light behind Pammy all the way in the back. I feel like she’s grown a solid two inches taller in the past two months. She is loving the bathroom! I can’t wait to put shelves up for my Hoyas so I can spread my big babies apart!

Advise on getting to grow nicer?

I was gifted the Hoya Kerri the other day and I feel like she looks funny. Maybe I’m over thinking it. I have a single that is showing big big promises of a node. I’ve had it for a long time now. My single leaf is in a tiny pot and I feel this new one’s pot may be too big. Does she look healthy? That’s really all I care about.

It’s in an orchid bark mix
I know it was watered when gifted so recently watered
In a corner of isolation until I’m sure there are no pest but will go under two big grow lights when deemed safe

Leak and mold no answer from office (DFW, Texas)

What should I do? Sunday we had a leak come in. Called emergency maintenance and they said since it’s a third floor unit they can’t tarp on Sunday and would come Monday to tarp. I’ve been here going on my second month and there’s already been a lot of things wrong here (unit was never cleaned nor prepped when we moved in, flooding toilets I have shut the water off to myself, closing out tickets of service when they never even spoke with us or fixed the issue) so I’m not surprised they never showed. I’ve called every day since and get the AI. They don’t respond to emails. I have been having a head ache every day since we moved in and my throat has been irritated so now I’m thinking it’s mold. I had a very bad experience at my last apartment and don’t want to do this again. We have rain coming in tomorrow and now I’m worried my living room is going to flood again.

Still learning

Just started a month or two ago and have been having some fun. I have been going back and tweaking as I learn.

What’s in my pilea’s dirt?

It’s way more bright green in person. She’s doing okay. I have under watered her in the past so I’ve been watering a little more frequently here recently, so it a fungus? I’ve never dealt with fungus before. I’m quarantining her now.

Sun Henna style tattoo done by lildebbie214, Royal Circle Tattoo Studio, in Dallas Texas

Wanted to show off my birthday present to myself! I turn 30 Monday and I’ve been wanting to get something meaningful for this. My grandma is a henna artist (hennacrone or Debi Varvi Studio) and I always told her I was going to get these for real one day.

LilDebbie really did so an amazing job. She has been my artist for a couple years now and I don’t see myself finding another. I love it so much. Looking forward to going back to get my moon🧡
