I have this rear door rack on my van (not my van in the photo so don’t have the spare/ladder). I want a cheap way to get my bikes around. We’re not big bikers, these are $50 used bikes, so I don’t want to spend $000s on a fancy bike rack. Is there a makeshift way to get them onto here?
I’m 7 weeks pregnant with my second child, first is 18 months. Me and my husband have been planning/hoping to have a second forever, hoped for a roughly 2 year age gap, and been TTC for the last 4/5 months. We’ve been pretty open about that with family and friends. A few weeks ago my younger sister told me she’s pregnant! It was a little surprising, and she told me it was a bit of a spontaneous thing and they just happened to get pregnant one time after a night out. They hadn’t been trying but they were happy. I was so happy for her, even though it came on a day I got my period and that day I’d been feeling pretty devastated. Anyway, fast forward a month later and I finally got my positive test. I told my sister 2 weeks ago, confiding in her at this early stage so we could both share in the happiness and also in case anything goes wrong, I’d confide in her with that too. Anyway, she immediately went cold on me. I asked our mom if she’s ok, and then she texted me to essentially say give her space, don’t contact her. It’s been 2 weeks and she’s totally cut me out. I’m really upset, as I wanted to share this with her. We’re normally very close, so it’s hurtful she would do this. I’m sure she’s upset because she wanted the attention to be on her, but now we’re both pregnant. But I couldn’t help the timing, it was very much planned for us and for her it was not. I feel that this has really cast a shadow over my first trimester, with no one else to confide in. Any advice?
I had my first birth unmedicated as I had wished. 11hrs at home, 3 hrs in hospital, 20 mins pushing. By all accounts it was a great birth but MY GOODNESS it was excruciating. My baby entered the world among what I feel was chaos, the opposite of peaceful which is what I had imagined (screw you, YouTube clips of peaceful hypnobirthing!). I’m pregnant with my second and wondering if I go epidural next time…? On the one hand I was able to move around well, and kneel up to push baby out quickly. I didn’t get my desire of a water birth because baby’s heart rate kept falling so I needed more monitoring and to be able to move around a lot to keep the heart beat up. I think if id have had epidural the outcome would’ve been different (intervention, emergency c-section perhaps). But it felt almost traumatic to me with the amount of pain. So I don’t know whether I should have an epidural next time?
View from the lawn really sucks. It’s direct sunlight and the screens are sooooo much smaller than they should be for that size of audience. Where has a good atmosphere and screens you can actually follow the game on?
It isn’t functional. I hate it but maybe that’s because the room is empty? Could we upgrade it somehow? Paint it? Tile inside the cubby?

Looks a bit more like a shadow of a line on the phone, not so much in person. I’m probably just imagining things? I’m guessing I’m about 9DPO but don’t track it. 12 days post sex. Dollar store test.
I believe this is a fabric patchwork blanket but I think it’s stunning, I’d love to recreate this style but in crochet. What stitch do you think would work well?
I’ve been feeling nauseas for 3 days, and it feels really similar to my morning sickness from first pregnancy, just very mild. First pregnancy I tested positive at 3wk4days (faint line). Today would be 3wk3days, and I just tested but it’s negative. Did anyone else get morning sickness before testing positive?
I’m finding the layout really odd. If you were to renovate this house, how would you make it for a family with 2 kids, and space for a granny flat on the lower floor. The lack of rooms on the upper floor and many bedrooms (reception rooms..?) on the main floor are really odd to me.
