EPFO death claim - Office refused offline submission and asked me to apply online. Need guidance.

Hi everyone,

I lost my brother on 8 April. He was a salaried employee, and I am the e-nominated beneficiary.
Today, I completed all the paperwork. I filled the claim form (the combined form for EPF/EDLI/Pension, as I was told), attached all the required documents:
Death certificate
Aadhaar
Bank passbook copy
My passport-size photograph
I also got the form signed and stamped by his employer.
When I went to the EPFO office to submit everything, the lady at the counter said they were not accepting any applications because the server was busy and asked me to come back after 10–15 days.

While I was there, I noticed the board in the attached photo saying:
“If e-Nomination (Form-2) exists, apply online through the Unified Portal – Death Claim Filing by Beneficiary.”
So I asked her about it, and she said that since I am the e-nominated beneficiary, I have to submit the claim online, and they won’t accept an offline application.
Now I’m confused.
Do I need to apply only through the online portal?
Was getting the employer’s signature and all the paperwork unnecessary?
Has anyone here filed an EPFO death claim as an e-nominated beneficiary? If yes, could you please guide me through the process?

I’d really appreciate any help. Thank you.

Filed ITR-1 but forgot to include F&O loss and equity trades. What should I do?

Hi, I just need some clarification.
This is my first time filing an ITR. I filed my return a few days ago using ITR-1, and I’ve already received the 143(1) intimation.
However, I later realized that I had done a few F&O transactions and some equity trades during the financial year.
F&O: Loss of around ₹11,000
Equity trading: Profit of around ₹450
I didn’t include these while filing my return.
Is this okay, or do I need to file a revised return? If yes, should I switch from ITR-1 to another ITR form?
Thanks in advance!

Need Suggestions to Improve My Fat Loss Diet (89 kg, 181 cm)

Hi everyone,
I’m 22M, 181 cm, 89 kg, currently trying to lose fat while maintaining muscle.
Earlier, I used to go to the gym 4–5 days/week, but currently I’m in my hometown and not hitting gym. Right now my activity is mainly walking:
5 days/week: ~4.5 km walk
1 day/week: ~8–9 km walk
Current Diet
Morning
1 scoop TWT Unflavored Concentrate Whey with water
1 tbsp chia seeds soaked overnight
Breakfast
65 g raw rolled oats soaked for ~2 hours in cow milk + water
½ scoop Nakpro whey mixed in oats
1 fruit (banana/apple/mango)
Mid-Morning
Bowl (~90–100 g) of mixed sprouts, almonds, cashews, raisins, walnuts, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, etc.
Lunch
~200 g cooked rice
Regular homemade curry (dal, bottle gourd, tomato curry, spinach, sambar, etc.)
Curd
3 boiled eggs
Snacks
Usually fruit, buttermilk, or sometimes biscuits
Dinner
Either:
2 chapatis + curry + 2 egg whites + 1 whole egg
OR
35 g dry soya chunks (prepared as a salad)
Goal
Reduce body fat
Preserve as much muscle as possible
Improve overall diet quality
Have a look at my body as well (sharing a recent photo 😭**). What do you think I should focus on more? Please share your insights on my diet, body composition, and any workout suggestions that could help.**

Thanks in advance 🙏

What crops should I try on 7–8 acres in Telangana instead of growing paddy every year?

My family owns around 7–8 acres of farmland in a village in Telangana. All the land is in one place, and we’ve been growing paddy twice a year for as long as I can remember (around 13–14 years).
We have a decent water supply—not excessive, but not scarce either. Paddy has been working fine, but I want to explore other crop options that might be more profitable or sustainable.
The problem is that I don’t have much knowledge about agriculture beyond what we’ve traditionally done, so I’m not sure what alternatives would be suitable for our land and water conditions.
Has anyone in Telangana or a similar region successfully switched from paddy to other crops? What crops would you recommend looking into, and what factors should I consider before making the change?
Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
