15 Bean Tomato Soup?

I've seen mixed reviews on the 15 bean soup because of the fact so many different beans cook at different times, but I was wondering whether anyone has tried making 15 Bean Tomato Soup where all the beans are blended into the tomato soup at the end anyway so it doesn't matter if some of them are overcooked?

I've been looking at ways to greatly improve my fruit, veg, and fibre intake and I was looking at 15 bean soup as a possibility.

The Tomato soup recipe I usually make it 2 whole garlic bulbs, olive oil, a couple of bell peppers, and a load of different tomatoes, all sliced and roasted in a large sheet pan in the oven before adding to chicken broth in a big pot and blending with an immersion blender. I'd just add the cooked 15 beans to that pot at the end and blend them in with it.

Currently reading The Expanse for first time, wondering what to expect once I've finished and decide to watch the show?

I started reading The Expanse last week, currently mid way through Book 2. I've been reading the short stories as well which are great but currently it's a very good read.

Once I've finished the books I did plan on watching the show, but I wanted to know what to expect from the show coming from the books, especially considering it was cancelled before finishing the whole story.

Thanks in advance.

Wedding guest outfit

Wore on Saturday to a wedding. Rented, but like it enough that I think I may buy one in the future with a couple of adjustments. Straight Vs slim trousers mainly, and a higher waist on the trousers as they sit lower than I'd like, though it's hidden by the waistcoat.

[Buy] Pistol Lake Long Sleeve Henley, Relic White, Small, 100% Cotton Jersey Fabric

I'm looking to buy a Pistol Lake Long Sleeve Henley, Relic White colour, Small, 100% Cotton Jersey Fabric, shipped to the UK.

I had seen one on Poshmark but unfortunately I am unable to purchase it due to me being in the UK as I can't make an account on there due to various verification requirements, so reship services aren't a help.

Can anyone help me with this request?

Here's a link to the original listing - https://web.archive.org/web/20160429222159/http://www.pistollake.com/collections/all/products/henley

Watching the Defenders for the first time, don't know why E4 was rated so highly

Mainly the final scenes where the whole group don't even try to take down Alexandra when she's essentially there alone but instead talk with her like she isn't one of the heads of the entire organisation they are trying to destroy, and then when Jessica busts through the window with the car and knocks Elektra down, she just walks right past her to pose with the group so they can watch her get up and ready herself instead of them all going and restraining what is supposed to be the strongest human weapon there is.

It just seems like such incredibly poor writing and when I checked the reviews I was surprised it was rated as one of the better episodes, though I imagine it is probably just because the gangs all together.

Finding it difficult to find Kelpie pups in the UK. Can anyone recommend reputable breeders that sell to non-livestock homes?

Basically the title. My wife and I struggled a lot on picking a breed of dog we want and now we have chosen one, we're finding it hard to find a breeder as the only two I could locate through Google only sell to livestock homes.

I also checked BATWK but they have no puppies listed on their classifieds.

Does anyone know of any reputable breeders that will have all the health screenings in the UK that I'd be able to purchase from?

I'm hoping to pick up a Kelpie puppy soon, just wanted some advice on exercise?

I have the time to give them as much physical and mental exercise as they'll need and I want to get into Canicross once they're old enough plus I will be doing a lot of obedience training, plenty of other mental work etc, but I haven't had a dog from a puppy before and they're only 10 weeks old currently. Can anyone offer advice on how much exercise I should be giving them and when?

I have done some research on puppies and their age milestones in general but I wasn't sure if there was anything I should be aware of with the Kelpie breed.

Thanks in advance.

How much of a concern is a dog's prey drive with our indoor cats if I am putting in the work to train and exercise them properly?

My wife and I have 3 cats and we want to get a dog. We have the time and ability to ensure they are properly worked both physically and mentally, and I personally want to put in a lot of effort to train them extensively and even take part in Canicross.

However, we are struggling to pick a dog because every single breed that we actually like the look of ends up having a higher than average prey drive and so we are always worried about the potential for an issue with the cats.

I would say 2 of our cats, maybe all 3 are 'dog-savvy' in the sense that they'd stand their ground to a dog but that's because we were fostering a daschund for a brief period of time and they made sure he knew that they weren't to be chased, but he was much closer in size and not exactly the most agile of dogs.

We have a baby gate already at the bottom of the stairs so the cats can go upstairs if they want to get away from the dog and there are also cat shelves downstairs that the cats can go to as well, but essentially I just want to have an idea of if a dog's prey drive is something I need to seriously consider as a problem if I am getting the dog as a puppy and raising them together with the cats and ensuring I am constantly acting to prevent the dog chasing the cats at all and teaching them that it's not a 'wanted' behaviour.

For reference, one breed we really like is the Lurcher but there are others too we are looking at. I'd have loved a Malinois but their activity requirements are too high for me to say 100% I could give them the work they need.

Sprint coach said I shouldn't warm up, is this right?

*Edit: It sounds like this dude isn't very good at his job. I did figure as much myself but because I haven't trained or researched it in depth myself before, I didn't know enough to say for sure. I think I'll have to self teach in that case then which is a shame because I wanted to be able to learn as part of a club, but there aren't any other clubs around. Thanks for the replies.

I joined a club today and tried sprinting for the first time. They said I shouldn't do any warming up but I should be aiming to be able to go from completely cold to 100% without any warmup as I'd be 'cold' between sprints due to the extended rest time. Their 'Warming up' is just springing varying distances from 10m to 30m at as close to 100% as possible until I'm able to run 100% safely.

I ended up pulling a hamstring when I tried sprinting 60m though it's not injured, as it's hurting just as much walking and running and I think it's just my body trying to stop me from doing what I was doing.

I have no experience in training sprinting so I don't know if this is good advice or not.

Joining an Athletics Club to get into Sprinting next week. Any recommendations for cheap shoes to buy?

The only pair of shoes I have for running currently are Hoka Bondi 9's, which are far from optimal for sprinting. I don't want to spend much money at all so I don't care about getting an amazing pair of shoes, I just want to know what's a cheap pair I can get that won't be crap or counter-productive to sprinting. Depending on how I progress I may invest further down the line but I'd rather not shell out a ton of money at the start for what would essentially be a minor difference.

I'm based in the UK if it's relevant.

Where can I go if I just want to learn how to get into the 'rhythm'?

I'm a 32 year old guy, and I've never danced in my life. I hate doing it because of massive embarrassment and having absolutely no 'feel' for rhythm or being able to move to it.

That's not to say I'm beat deaf, as I can physically hear and keep track of a rhythm and tap my fingers to any beat for example, but physically moving my bodyd is something I just seem to be currently incapable of doing.

I wanted to know if there were any classes out there that would teach me or at least help me learn the basics of essentially 'moving to the rhythm', but not necessarily learning a specific dance like salsa or swing.

If anyone has any advice, please let me know.

Moving away from purely weight training to a well rounded training style. Can anyone let me know if this would be too much?

Tl;dr - 3x a week - Recommended routine from the Wiki

2x a week - Animal walks, mobility work, skills training like handstand

2x a week - Running - may be done on same days as other workouts to give full rest days, maybe not

____________________________________________________________

I am a pretty advanced lifter, best gym maxes were 205kg squat, 165kg bench, 242.5kg deadlift. Moving away from that and want to build a more 'functional' body as if nothing else, I don't do any cardio. My cardio isn't awful as I did a few runs this week to see where I'm at and managed a relatively relaxed 20m 3km run and an 11:16 2km which was more difficult.

Firstly, I plan on running the recommended routine as written following the progression of each exercise. I just set up an outside pullup bar that's about 2.5m tall so I can comfortably hang completely relaxed without touching the floor. I set up some rings on it, but all I need now are dip bars.

I also wanted to implement a lot of movement practice, balance, and mobility work into my routine. I used to do a little of animal walks, but not a ton. I want to work them back in as well.

I just want advice on how would be best to organise my routine and if what I am planning would be good or too much as I don't have a lot of experience doing purely bodyweight work. I may be doing running on the same days I do some of the other work or not, depending on how I feel. My current plan was going to be:

3x a week - Recommended routine from the Wiki

2x a week - Animal walks, mobility work, skills training like handstand as I have never been able to get a handstand down

2x a week - Running - Nothing pushing too hard, all runs would be at a moderate pace I can keep up and not too far. Currently not running more than 3km at a time anyway so it shouldn't eat too much into my recovery.

Also, if anyone has any recommendations for Youtubers in these fields, please let me know. My main intro into this style of training was the Bioneer many years back and I still watch his content today. I recently subscribed to Strength Side and smoov Movement as they both seem to be doing similar types of training I would want to implement.

Can anyone point me in the direction for where to look for someone to clone a piece of clothing for me?

I have a Henley that I bought from Pistol Lake about 10 years ago. It's a bit tattered now so I can't wear it anymore, but it's by far the best Henley I've ever owned and I wish they hadn't shut down.

I have too little experience I sewing to be able to clone it myself, so can anyone point me to where I should look to find someone who can do this for me?

I'm based in the UK for relevance.

A pic I took recently of me wearing the Henley for reference if needed https://ibb.co/C5XRTdc9.

(UK) How can I increase my pay?

I've been working as an 'IT Service Desk Technician' for 2.5 years starting as an apprentice in the role for a construction company.

My actual job role is closer to a System Administrator though, as I do everything from resolving first and second line tickets both in person and remotely for employees at the company, to managing the 365 Infrastructure with full GA privileges including Entrance, Intune, SharePoint etc. I provision hardware for the employees, I also have to personally order the kit in, raise the PO's and cost it to the correct companies, same with ordering and assigning licenses for varying software we utilise. I've also recently done the bulk of the work putting our company through passing CE Plus and a large portion for ISO 27001. I'm currently working towards getting AZ-900 certification but not completed yet.

I just found out that I'm probably only getting a 3% raise but considering how my pay package is organised, it's closer to 2.49% rise, which considering inflation and COL was about 3% in the last year, that's a pay cut. Add onto that that for the entire time I've worked there I've worked a part time job to help pay the bills, and I've had enough of doing that, working 6 days a week for 2.5 years.

I've been looking for another job but there's almost zero jobs that pay what I'd need to stop working part time (35k is what I currently earn from both jobs combined). I think I applied to two yesterday after a while of looking. There was a third at a school, but it paid what I currently earn, and included the responsibility of managing the IT team even though the job title was IT System Administrator, not IT Manager. The IT pay structure in the UK is absolutely diabolical. Most jobs are paying closer and closer to minimum wage considering minimum wage is £24,784 a year for 37.5 hour work week.

Essentially I was wondering if anyone had any advice for what I can do to get out of this situation because I need to start earning more in this industry as I am getting burned out working 6 days a week now. Any advice is welcome on what I can do.

Rear suspension sounding like creaking floorboards? 2021 Tesla Model 3 LR AWD

For reference this car has about 122k miles on the clock now.

It's mostly constant. Started recently, no idea the cause. It's only the rear suspension as I checked by getting out and pushing down on both the front and back of car. Can anyone let me know what the probable reason is and if it's something that needs to be fixed ASAP?

Just got my sample packs, now to spend the next 6 months figuring out which ones the best. Any advice on how to best do this?

*Edit: Forgot to say that I only shave my head, not my face, if it matters. Also, how many times should I use the same blade before replacing it?

I'm going to be using the same soap and razor (Proraso Red and Mühle R41 - though if there are recommendations for a cheap safety razor that is better I'm up for the advice) to keep everything as uniform as possible.

I tend to cut my head a lot when shaving it, though I've only been doing it for the past couple weeks so I'm looking for one that'll help minimize that (though obviously improving technique and pre-shave routine will help more I imagine).

5 Months into a yeard (Now vs Start)

Decided to go for a yeard at the start of the year. I already had a bit of growth when I started but I'm counting it from the last time I trimmed my beard. Never had a beard anywhere near this long before, but I like it a lot more than the last time I grew my beard because I'm actually putting in a lot of effort into making it look good. Been taking a photo almost every month with same environment and angle to get a good idea of growth over time so I might post the collage at the end.

I have kept up with a routine largely pulled from u/dancbearded's YT channel, so I'm very grateful for his content. Making my own beard products now purely for cost saving but it's going well.

I don't know how it happened, but I noticed it yesterday. I do have enough spare material from the same garment from when I got it altered inside to easily cover the affected area, but I am not sure the best way to go about repairing it.

Can anyone let me know what sort of repair I should do to make it as minimally noticeable as possible?
