Ladies, please don't leave your purse unattended!

Was at Zinburger at Scottsdale Quarter yesterday for dinner with the fam. Woman with 2 littles (baby and toddler) gets up and presumably goes to the bathroom with the kids. Gone at least 10 minutes. Leaves purse on the table and diaper bag at table floor. She didn't have a companion at the table to watch her stuff. I understand the diaper bag but the purse?!? Crazy. Looked quite stuffed too. Maybe she had her wallet in her pocket or only has Apple Pay on her phone. It's amazing how comfortable one gets in bougie town.

I'm a mom as well (kids are now 12 and 14) and I still remember the chaotic baby/toddler years. But not once would I have ever left a small purse just sitting on the table for anyone to grab!

And I've lost count of the number of older ladies at the grocery store who leaves their purse wide open (wallet right on top) in the cart (where a kid would normally sit) and walks away, phone in hand, looking for something. I've had to tell them to just bring their cart to where they're standing. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Hotel recommendations near MoA and Manila Bay, not The Conrad

Planning a trip to the Philippines. 4 full days in Manila, before we see some other islands in the Philippines. Traveling with family (kids ages 13 and 15) and they have never been to the Philippines.

Recommendations for hotel near MoA, Manila Bay (I think there's a new boardwalk/ walking area there now?) I don't want to stay at The Conrad because I would rather use my money towards experiences or dining, especially since we are really just going to be in the hotel to rest/ sleep. Main thing for me is a quiet and clean room where we can't hear people slamming their doors.

Back in 2016, my mom and I stayed at The Crimson Hotel in Alabang-Muntinglupa area and it was great - high floor room, no traffic noise, great soundproofing. And I think I paid like $85-$90/night.

EDIT: for any recommendations, if you have personally stayed at the hotel pls share your experience. I've looked on Google Reviews and TripAdvisor and as always, mixed reviews.

TIA

PV High School - CREST program and end-of-year schedule

My child is entering the CREST Bioscience program this coming school year, and I had a quick question regarding the end-of-year expectations.

For those with experience in the program**

What is the last full week of class typically like? Are the final few days usually reserved for final exams and capstone presentations, or is there some flexibility? I’m also wondering if teachers generally assign new coursework to be completed by the end of that final full week, or if assignments are due on the very last day (the following Monday).

I noticed on the PVUSD calendar that May 25 & 26, 2027, are both scheduled as early dismissal days, so I am just trying to get a better sense of how the workload wraps up during that final stretch.

TIA

Photos & Recommendations please - bulkhead window seats in economy- Airbus A350-900

Photos & reccomendation please - bulkhead window seats in economy- Airbus A350-900 (starlux and China airlines).

Planning a trip PHX - TPE.. need to see photos of bulkhead window seat for 6ft tall companion and if they will be able to sleep on the plane in economy. I know the recline pitch is deeper vs US airlines but deep enough to be comfortable to sleep?

Found several videos showing premium economy on Starlux & China Airlines for long-haul flights... Couldn't find any for economy. Videos that showed economy seats were shorter/regional routes. Most videos focused on food, entertainment etc.

TIA

SFO airport - "I didn't want my boyfriend to cum in me while I was on my period"

Woman, late 20s - early 30s at Gate 21 at SFO airport waiting to board the same flight as us. Gate was crowded. Entire conversation on speakerphone. We were seated right in front of her - my husband, 14 year old daughter and 12 year old son. When she LITERALLY announced: "Well, I didn't want (name of boyfriend) cumming in me while I was on my period..." (She said this loud enough to be heard OVER the noise and gate announcements!)

I'm seated across my daughter who was looking at something on her phone (no earphones). Her head then snaps up and she's like, "OMG MOM DID YOU HEAR... 🫪😲" My son also shoots me a look, very embarrassed and decides to walk over to the window (still close to us) just to get away from this woman. Meanwhile, Ms. Oversharer continues to tell her little friend on the phone about having an abortion and now having the luxury of being able to think about the pregnancy etc etc with the most blasé and nonchalant attitude. Like she's talking about what she had dinner last night. Oh and she didn't tell her then-boyfriend about the pregnancy - just about the abortion.

My daughter did have plenty of questions about what she heard, so I guess in a way it's good that she felt comfortable enough to ask me about it.

But my God, do people just assume everyone has earphones in all the time?! (I didn't have them in because I was waiting for our boarding group to be called).

help me negotiate - buying aircon - cash

I checked Westerns and Anson's appliances for this specific aircon: Kolin KA150MCARINV32 - https://western.com.ph/product/kolin-ka150mcarinv32/

western's: ₱21,899.00 + delivery (online price)

anson's: ₱22,300 + delivery (online price)

this is the make and model I want, has all the features I need.

my cousin is the one at the store doing the comparison shopping and talking to the salespeople. He's not a great negotiator/haggler. At Western's they gave him the spiel of "we only have 10 units left, buy it now before it's gone". I am not able to negotiate/haggle in person.

I was given the advice that I can haggle the price to P20,500 or a bit lower than the online price of 21,899 at Western's. is it true that physical stores always have a "floor price" - the absolute lower price that a branch manager is authorized to clear stock if customer is paying cash in full?

Any other negotiation tactics? TIA
