Finally got my kilt from UTKilts. Lovin’ the utility while still being able to rock the family tartan. Got a chance to wear it to a buddy’s metal concert.

I bought into the advertising hype. Rippl specifically advertised being CE rated for abrasion so I figured they’d be GTG.

First big problem is the sizing. Their sizing guide is god awful…not even close to accurate. I even sent them a message with my measurements and they specifically said to get an XXL, same as the sizing guide. Pants show up and they aren’t even close. Every pair of pants I own are a 38 which is what the Rippl were supposed to be. I could barely get them over my knees.

They were lined jeans and super heavy.

To top things off, I returned them in the original box with the shipping label they gave me. This is the email I got from them 7/16. Unfortunately for them, I kept the shipping receipt so I’ve got the tracking showing they received the package on 7/8. Fortunately for me, it was on my credit card so I’ve already disputed the charge.

My new lid…Shoei RF-1400…was delivered today. The maroon/black/red should go very nicely with my Indian FTR. Have only tried it on quick, but I’d say it’s a keeper. I’ll have to rough it going in to work tomorrow and then work on moving the Cardo over this weekend.

Has anyone used the Tubs Jackson bracket to install a Cardo? From the pictures, I’m trying to decide if it’s much different than the one that comes with the Cardo. I don’t foresee getting rid of the Cardo any time soon so I may just use the sticky bracket that comes with it since it’s still in the box.

I’m only here one day a week so I don’t know when it got here, but you’ve got options now.

1. I’m very surprised the 15 is priced lower. I’d have figured it be the other way around since the 15 is “new”.

2. Not sure why the 15 has that giant baseplate, but we’re not fans.

I’ve already got an RF on the way…$130 off during Revzilla’s helmet sale so I bit the bullet. Was looking at that one and the HJC i11. You hear about Shoei’s, but are they really more than 3 times better than an HJC i11 ($649 vs $199)?

We’ll see when the Shoei shows up since there’s nowhere local that sells them, but one store does have the HJC so I can compare fits.

OG was just. Never noticed it before so I don’t know if it’s for TV or was always there, but at the end, there’s a flower partially covering one of the jump rope girl’s head. Any idea why?
