Shenanigans have just been updated again

I went to practice combos with Hanami on my private server, and when I used a forward dash, Hanami threw flowers instead of the powerful attack. Now she has her four moves (the fourth is what used to be the dash), she keeps her new ability, and she gets the flower stun as her new forward dash.

I was curious to see if anything else had changed, so I tried Naoya. Now his dashes don't have that annoying cooldown. Move 4 can now be converted into a frame, and move 3 now has a bar that shows how many times you've pressed 3.

Everything else has been changed too. He still has the 2-second cooldown on his Special, but now his moves take half the charge time if you use his Special (this is really helpful for move 3).

What do you think of this mini-update?

Is the variant of Hanami's ultimate move 1 better than the normal one?

I've been trying out Hanami because I recently bought early access and I like her quite a bit, especially her mastery (I consider it one of the most overpowered in the game).

Her first move, as impressive and powerful as it is, doesn't quite convince me because it leaves you exposed and it's easy to lose your target; but then I found out she has an aerial variant that attacks in an area and makes you immune to damage for a short time. I've seen that it can be combined very well with her second move, so I wanted to know your opinions.

These are 100% hacks

I know I've been complaining a lot about hackers, but this is just disgusting. Next thing you know, they'll be telling me it's bugs or ping issues.

I ask you please if you can help me report them if they are hacks.

Naoya's smartest player

Today I was playing JJS before going to work. I was using Gojo for a mission and was in a fight against another player when a Naoya cosplayer (I was using an Asa Mitaka cosplay from CSM) who was also playing Naoya, joined the fight to attack me.

He knocked me back with his first move, and I tried to keep my distance because I was at half health and he was at full health. Then, when I closed the distance with a dash, Naoya activated his ultimate.

Taking advantage of being near the edge of the map, I knocked him down using Gojo's first move + R. The guy had left me with red health with his ultimate and then respawned right next to me, so he killed me. Not content with that, he became toxic.

A while later, I was at yellow health from being in a Sukuna's Domain when Naoya and another player teamed up with me, killed me, and acted toxically. With no other option, I went for my revenge and beat Naoya senseless, leaving him with 1 HP without him even landing a single M1 on me. Unfortunately, the guy started running and I got caught in a Domain, so he managed to escape.

Later, I found him again and beat him senseless once more. He ran again and ended up leaving the server when I cornered him (giving me the $5, by the way).

A while later, Naoya logged into the same server and started attacking me. The fight was even, but he had the advantage and ended up leaving me with very low health. At one point in the fight, Naoya hit me with his 3 move and, instead of securing the victory, typed "ez" in the chat. His attack doesn't kill me, so I take the opportunity to counter with three m1s: Gojo's move 4, move 1, and then move 2, killing him and making him explode with Red. I don't act toxic like him; I just type "ez" in the chat, reminding him of his stupid toxicity.

To avoid giving him $5, I switch characters and leave the server, leaving Naoya to suffer the consequences of his own toxicity.

Which one was better?

It's poetic to compare the deaths of L and Light. Objectively speaking (my favorite character is L, but I like Light too), L's death was more dignified and even satisfying (for L) than Light's.

While L left the world confirming that he had always been right, Light died knowing that he could never have his "perfect" world, that everything he had done was pointless, and to top it all off, he had been humiliated by Near.

L left in silence, at peace knowing that his suspicions about Light and Misa were true; while Light died begging, crying, and pleading (in the manga; in the anime it was much gentler and sweeter).

(Spoiler) Why was L sad?

This is my first time watching Death Note (I'm on episode 35), so I might have missed something.

While L seemed downcast for not being able to prove Kira's identity before (even though he already knew perfectly well it was Light), in this episode he appeared completely depressed; especially in the rain scene and where L says he hears bells ringing.

I've read that this attitude was because he knew he would lose, but in that same episode he suggests checking if the 13-day rule was real or fake. So why did he think he would lose if he had that ace up his sleeve? In fact, Rem kills him because he could endanger Misa and Light as well.

Did he somehow know he was going to die? Did he distrust Rem? If not, then why was he so depressed?

What's the opinion of the JW on no-piercing ear piercings?

Here's M (20) PIMO. Lately, I've been interested in these types of ear decorations that don't require piercings or anything like that. You just put them on and that's it.

In the future, I'd like to get a small tattoo with some chess pieces (it's one of my favorite games, and I think it conveys good values like self-control and thinking). But, since the chess king has a cross on it, I'm afraid people might get weird ideas.

I think I've become agnostic.

Religion has never been something that matters much to me, but until now (having been born and raised within the Jehovah's Witnesses) I considered myself a theist.

I had a mini-religious crisis at an assembly when I started thinking about and researching why the Bible barely mentions dinosaurs. But it passed quickly. That said, for the short time it lasted, I felt terrible.

I continued to be a "theist" for quite a while until I discovered I was a PIMO (Progressive Influenced, Inactive, and Missing), that I didn't want to live as a Jehovah's Witness, and that I was trapped in this sect. Then I started to reflect. I don't know (nor do I really care) if God exists or not, although I'm beginning to think that if something does exist, it's not what humans imagine. I also don't like the idea of life after death; I consider life so special because it is limited and finite. Therefore, I've begun to consider myself agnostic.

Lucy, my favorite character

Her sublime introduction, with David noticing only her white hair, immediately piqued my curiosity about the character.

Lucy, unlike David who seeks to fulfill the dreams of others (first Gloria, then Maine, and finally Lucy) instead of having his own, represents dreams and freedom.

From a young age, Lucy was used by Arasaka and deprived of having a life of her own. That's why the character yearns so much for freedom, and her dream, the Moon, is nothing more than a representation of escaping towards freedom.

Although she hid in NightCity and joined Maine's gang, it was clear that she didn't become attached to or get very close to the others since her real dream was to escape.

Everything changed when she met David. When he opened up to her, Lucy couldn't help but do the same and show him her dream. And, when David finally confessed that he would do anything to fulfill his dream, Lucy ended up accepting how much she loved David. In fact, her fear of being found by Arasaka changed to the fear of losing David, and her dream of going to the moon changed to the fear of David dying and leaving that dangerous life behind.

She is a character who made mistakes, yes, like not telling David the truth and withholding information. But it's understood that she didn't do it out of malice, but rather out of nature, fear, and love.

And when she finally reached the moon, David was no longer there. She had achieved freedom, but she had lost the person she loved most and the only one with whom she truly connected. It was a tragic end for the character. That scene of Lucy remembering David on the moon breaks my heart :'(

Lucy couldn't even enjoy a real life since her childhood and the love of her life were stolen by Arasaka. Although David did manage to fulfill Lucy's dream of going to the moon.

This series destroyed me...

I finished the series a couple of days ago and I can't stop thinking about it. To give you some context, I've never played (nor can I because I don't have a good console right now) the Cyberpunk 2077 game, so this was my first experience with the saga.

From episodes 1-5, I thought MAYBE the protagonists would have a happy ending (except for Pilar). But from episode 6 onwards, with the deaths of Dorio and Maine, and also with how strange Lucy became, I knew something was wrong.

I had seen many TikTok edits of Lucy and David with the series' music and I thought they would have a happy and romantic ending. But then came Kiwi and Faraday's betrayal, Lucy's capture, Militec's ambush, and David's gradual downfall. I still held out hope that David could resist the cybersuit and rescue Lucy for a happy ending, and clinging to that hope is what hurt me the most in the end.

BAM! Kiwi dies, Rebecca dies, and finally, David dies. Although part of me expected it, I couldn't help but be a little shocked, especially with the scene of Lucy going to the moon alone... :(

Few series have devastated me as much as this one, which is why I love and hate it so much at the same time.

I feel terrible sorrow for the Jehovah's Witnesses who have spent their entire lives inside

Every time I see an elderly woman or man at the meeting, I can’t stop thinking about how sad and tragic their lives have been: chasing after something that will never happen.

It happens to me with my mother, too. It breaks my heart if she finds out that I want to leave this place.

I know it’s not my fault, but the Borg’s. But I can’t help feeling a certain sense of guilt and sadness.

Sometimes I’ve even thought about “staying the course” and going far within the JWs just so my mother can be happy for once in her life.

¿La Odisea es un libro leíble?

Si, se que suena obvio y tonto el título; pero me refiero a si la Odisea es un libro de lectura fácil, como una novela. Como van a sacar una película pronto, estaba pensando en leer el libro antes de verla.

What can you do about someone who blocks constantly?

I've seen a lot of players who block and only counterattack when you get close. To me, it's like facing an insurmountable wall.

If you Dash, they block and counterattack. If you try to close the distance with a Side Dash, they counterattack by doing another Side Dash behind you. And they're always players with perfect ping and timing who rack up a lot of kills.

https://preview.redd.it/k25iuj5tg8ah1.png?width=900&format=png&auto=webp&s=744b6f8cbd44c23270dbc5130fd803f8da650bef

Reze doesn't make me feel anything

As a fan who has read Part 1 twice and watched the movie based on the Reze arc, I have to say that Reze doesn't really do anything for me. I don't have a good or bad opinion of her; she's just another character in *Chainsaw Man*.

The strange thing is that I do like other characters like Makima, Asa, Aki, etc. But Reze (and Power, too) don’t stir even the slightest bit of emotion in me. Is there anyone else who feels the same way?

Suggestions for new characters

Below, I’ll list some characters I think would be good candidates for inclusion in JJS:

  1. Geto/Kenjaku:

For starters, I’d add a scar to the player’s head. His moves could be medium- to short-range; he could even have a counter (like the curse that caused Choso’s blood beam to bounce back in Shibuya). Maybe his Special could be eating a curse orb to change his moveset.

His Ultimate could include “Uzumaki,” something that could function as a beam clash. He could even have his own domain; the only idea I can think of is that the domain summons NPC curses that attack players inside it. As something even crazier, I had thought he could even possess the bodies of other players.

  1. Dagon:

He’s one of the most interesting curses to add. He has his own domain; he could also have a water beam for beam clashes. His Special could be shooting ink or something similar.

  1. Jogo:

Another of the most interesting and powerful curses. His base form could have very versatile attacks; his Special could be summoning those exploding insects (the ones he used against Gojo).

His ultimate could be a domain where players are afflicted with a “burned” status, similar to bleeding, which would remain active while they’re in the domain and for a few seconds after leaving it. His “Meteorite” attack could be one of the most damaging in the game.

  1. Uro:

We already have Jane Juliet and Mina Ashido. Why not add the Mina Ashido from JJK? Her technique is one of my favorites in the manga, and she has great potential.

  1. Meguna:

I know Sukuna is already in the game, but I’d love to see a Meguna version. She could have Mahoraga, Agito, and other Shikigami from the Ten Shadows.

Extra:

Other things I’d like to see added are Megumi’s Domain Expansion (it could be 4 + R with her ultimate or G + R), other scenarios for Hakari’s Domain Expansion (to make it like the manga). And, something a bit more out there, maybe being able to use a Simple Domain (it would use up your ultimate but help you survive a domino).

Some questions about JW...

Well, I've actually been a PIMO member for a long time, but I found this community a few months ago and haven't been very active. I'd like to know a few general things, like:

What is "borg"? I think it refers to the GB, but I have no idea.

What happened to Tony Morris? Why can't I remember when he stopped appearing in the Broadcasting?

What happened with the Trial in Norway? The last I heard was that the JW lied when they said they didn't use words like "shuning."

"The world hates the Jehovah's Witnesses"

The Pope is visiting my country (Spain), and it just so happens to coincide with the Watchtower study on hatred toward Jehovah's Witnesses.

However, I find it curious that my own family used to hate and spew venom about the Pope and the Church whenever they saw him on the news. So, we just studied how they hate the Witnesses, and now they simply hate the Church? 🙂
