2021 Subaru Ascent

I’m so sad and probably can’t add to replace it. Does this look like it’d be considered a total loss or is this fixable?

[TOMT] Raining cats and dogs children’s book

Hi! I’m trying to remember a book I used to have in my childhood where either the cover or a page in the book had cartoons of it “raining cats and dogs”. I don’t remember much about the book but I remember that the image was dark blueish purple background with colorful dogs and cats. It could have been an idiom book for kids. I would have had it in the early 2000s!

CC/ACOTAR

Hi! Silly question but I’m only about 10% of the way through CC2 and am curious if I should avoid reading the book description for ACOTAR6 when it’s available to avoid spoilers? I understand that there’s a crossover and I’ve remained relatively spoiler free and am a slow reader 😭

TIA

Hello all!

I just finished the on boarding process for an admin assistant position in the ER at a large hospital system in MI. When applying for the job, I applied for part time (28 hours) with benefits. I did a screening with a recruiter at the hospital who asked if I’d be able to do full time. I told her I was only looking for part time due to my very young children’s schedules and childcare, but could potentially do full time hours up to 36 hrs per week. She told me that she’d pass along my info to the manager of the department to set up an interview.

The next few weeks I went back and forth with the recruiter about getting connected with the manager since they never reached out (red flag, I know). Eventually the manager of the night shift called me, did another phone screening, and said she’d pass along the info to the day time manager about scheduling a formal interview for the job.

The next day I received a job offer for a full time position with the weekly hours being 36 per week listed in the job title. I didn’t do a formal interview but figured that since it was a high school diploma level job, they were okay with the series of phone screening. I accepted the position with the verbal and written assumption that I’d be working 36 hours per week with a weekend shift on rotating weekends.

Following my acceptance, I still hadn’t heard from the direct manager. I did receive communication from the same recruiter about onboarding and scheduling drug test/badging and then they set a start date for me. Today I finished my orientation and emailed my new supervisor after receiving their contact from HR (again major red flags) since I still never heard from them. She gave me my training schedule and I’m working 36 hours one week, 48 the next with 2 12s every other weekend. This feels incredibly excessive for an ER registrar. I also never agreed to two weekend shifts and an 84 hour pay period.

She also asked what my schedule constraints were and I told her that I have 3 family weddings this summer. She responded right away to tell me basically I’m SOL to go to them since they fall on my weekend rotation (that I haven’t started yet, because I haven’t started yet).

I’m just curious if this is normal for health care?. I feel like I’ve been given a run around and they weren’t forthcoming about how many hours would be expected of me, especially mandatory overtime. I emailed her asking to clarify why I’m working so many hours and she never responded. I’m supposed to start tomorrow.

TLDR; hospital admin job requiring almost 20 hours more per pay period than agreed on, is this normal for healthcare?
