FBALX Capital Gains Distribution Event?

This week I received a notice on my Fidelity account that there is a FBALX Capital Gains Distribution Event. I'm fairly new to investing, how does this affect me and my taxes this year and what do I do about it?

Thank you.

Can't Decide on a Sofa

I want a soft down cushion sofa that will hold up for years. I went to Crate and Barrel this weekend and tried out the lounge deep sofa and quite honestly it felt too firm. The unwind collection looks like it would fall apart in a few years (same with the Lotus collection).

I just recently read a post on here from today about someone regretting getting the West Elm Harmony sofa (which is supposed to be very soft and comfortable).

So where do I go from here? I have a sectional couch but it's too firm, and I cannot get comfortable on it. I need a new couch, but I don't want to spend 3-5K only to end up hating my new couch too.

What suggestions can anyone offer? What is the consensus on the best sofa for someone desiring a sectional sofa that is on the softer side but will hold up over years? Thank you.

West Elm Harmony Sectional Sofa?

I grew up lying on a large down feather sectional couch. I'm looking for a down feather sectional couch or something similar. The West Elm Harmony sectional sofa was mentioned as a particularly soft sofa.

If it comfortable and long lasting for someone who wants something resembling a down feather sectional couch? Another name that came up was the crate and barrel lounge deep 2 sofa

https://www.crateandbarrel.com/lounge-deep-2-piece-sectional-sofa-with-chaise-lounge/s321348?a=1552&pla_sku=321348&pcat=FURN&ag=adult&storeid=&targetid=pla-460894043171&campaignid=23702905888&adgroupid=199698756615&adpos=&creative=821520792851&device=c&matchtype=&network=g&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23702905888&gclid=Cj0KCQjwk5nVBhDiARIsAHNGqaf4pMsQNP06k7v0vRcih34NcswwkxwV4Y7K69YgrTX33oyLLh1SFnoaAnz-EALw_wcB

Anyone have any experience with these two sofas and would you recommend one over the other for someone looking for a quality sectional sofa that is soft and resembles a down feather couch? Thank you!

What Toilet Can I buy With a High Water Level in The Toilet Bowl?

I made a previous post here https://www.reddit.com/r/Plumbing/comments/1v7q3ri/how_to_add_more_water_to_the_toilet_bowl_of_my/

explaining the issues of having a toilet with a low water level. Everyone said I can't add more water to the actual toilet bowl so I will have to buy another one. I want to be professional because this is a serious post, but having a toilet with a low amount of water in the bowl makes it difficult to get the toilet clean and can lead to issues.

What toilet can I buy that has the most water in the toilet bowl?

I cannot view messages sent to me on Facebook Marketplace

I am selling two items on FB Marketplace. When I log in to FB it says I have two messages waiting for me from FB marketplace. I am excited to view the messages to see if someone wants to buy my listings.

Unfortunately when I try to click the messages to view them to see they are all greyed out as if the messages are loading but never finish loading to show. I tried to post a pic or link of what I'm seeing on my end but this subreddit doesn't allow it.

Does anyone know why I cannot view my FB Marketplace messages and why they are forever loading and grayed out? Thank you.

Speed Queen TC5 Washer is Ruining My Clothes

I bought a Speed Queen TC5 Washer in December 2025 since I work a lot and I just wanted a washer that would last forever and everyone on reddit seemed to praise and recommend it.

It has been less than a year and multiple shirts have holes in them and they were perfectly fine before I bought the washer and have had them for years some even decades. Is it possible to return the washer if I bought it that long ago? There is a delicate setting that I am trying and I hope that helps but I would have expected better quality for such an expensive washer.

Does anyone have any tips on what to do to make the TC5 washer more gentle on my clothes?

I usually run it on the standard cycle and use normal tide detergent that I have not had any issue with in any of my other washing machines. Thank you

What Is Causing These Stains on the Ceiling of the first floor of My Two Story House?

I have the stains as shown in the ceiling of the first floor of my two story house. It doesn't feel very wet to the touch maybe a little cool compared to the surrounding areas. I don't see any obvious leaks to the upstairs shower/toilet or roof but yet these stains are here.

Are these stains concerning and how do I go about finding out what is causing the stains in these picture on the ceiling of my first floor? Thank you for the help!

Reliable and Honest Plumber/Handyman in Folsom

I have a stain in the ceiling of my first floor and concerned there may be a water leak or some issue with my roof. Does anyone know of a reliable and honest plumber or handyman who is reasonably priced and won't try and take advantage of the situation or upcharge me? Thank you

Are There Any Costs or Limits With Meeting With a Fidelity Financial Advisor?

I'm with Fidelity and every now and then I meet with my financial advisor through Fidelity to ask him a few questions about my goals and investing.

As far as I'm aware, there are no fees to these meetings with the advisor but are there any hidden fees or agenda by meeting with a Fidelity financial advisor? Ultimately I make the final call on what I buy and invest in.

Want to make sure I'm not being pushed into something I'm not aware of or being taken advantaged of by some hidden fees? Thank you.

How Do I add More Water To The Toilet Bowel of my Glacier Bay Toilet?

I recently bought a renovated house that came with new Glacier Bay toilets. As you can see in the picture, the water level in the toilet bowl has always been very low which can cause issues.

There's nothing wrong with the toilet, it works fine but because of the low water it sometimes doesn't flush everything down. I'd like to raise the level in the toilet bowl.

I saw a video on youtube and tried to place a Phillips head screwdriver to turn that connection clockwise (sorry I'm not handy don't know the name of that part) but the water level remained low and I'm not sure how far I can turn it clockwise without potentially causing damage.

Does anyone have any ideas of how I can increase the amount of water in the toilet bowl please and if so, can you explain it to me like I'm five as to how to fix this issue?

I'd hate to have to buy and install a new toilet. Thank you for the help!

Buying Vanguard ETFs Through Fidelity?

I follow this subreddit a lot and the advice has been great. I'm with Fidelity and buying mutual funds through Fidelity is pretty straight forward. The amount you buy is the same as the amount that is bought and added into your account.

Today, I bought $2,000.09 dollars worth of VTI at Market Day for the set and forget strategy. However, it states there was only $1,999.81 bought into my account? Why is the amount transferred into my account always less than the amount I put in? I purchased $2,000.09 but only got $1,999.81?

I know it's only a small difference missing but why is it less? Am I doing something wrong? I buy it in terms of dollars and buy at Market Day. Can someone please explain or let me know if I'm doing something incorrectly? Thank you

How Long Is the Initial Charge for Apple AirPods Pro 3?

I have been charging my Apple AirPods Pro 3 since 10 am this morning (almost 7 hours now) and they still have the amber orange color indicating they are not fully charged.

How long do I have to charge them initially? I'm concerned if I don't charge them fully with the initial charge it will affect their battery life moving forward but it's been over 7 hours and still no green light.

Is this normal or how long do I need to charge them? Thank you

How Do you Track How Much You've Contributed and How Much You've Earned?

I usually log in to Fidelity on my laptop computer and I don't use the application on my phone. When I login to Fidelity and view my individual and retirement accounts is there a place on the website where I can see how much total I have contributed and how much I have earned from investing?

At the very bottom I can see the percentage of total increase but I'd like to see where on the website I can see how much total I have contributed so I can differentiate my total contributions from the amount I've earned from investing. Thank you!

Anyone Else Miss The Interplay Between Michael and Jan in Later Seasons?

I personally prefer seasons 2-4 and IMO season 5 onward is hit and miss. As I re-watch seasons 2-4 I find the interaction between Jan and Michael to by hysterical. Jan is a stern cold business woman and meanwhile Michael treats The Office like a playground and is always joking around.

Whether it is "Movie Monday" with Michael watching Varsity Blues or Michael at Chilis or Casino night I find myself missing the way Jan and Michael interact with each other.

Holly is ok but she is more similar to Michael whereas Jan's strictness compared to Michael's ridiculousness is something I find myself missing in later seasons. Anyone else agree? or thoughts on it?

Trying To Make The Most & Understand The University of California Retirement Plans?

I have maximized my 403b and 457b ($24,500 each for $49,000 total). I have contributions to my pension. This year I have also started contributing to my UC DCP (Defined Contributions Plan).

My understanding and question is I can
contribute up to $72,000 to my UC DCP plan and then transfer that $72,000 into
a Roth IRA and then my investments grow tax free. I chose to invest it in
FZROX.

I also have a separate 1099 job on the side
of which I usually contribute around $20,000 to 30,000 into a Sep-IRA

My question is the maximum contribution to
the UC DCP plan $72,000 even if you are also maximally contributing to the 403b
and 457b?

I'm trying to make sure I understand the UC
retirement plan and I am allowed to contribute $72,000 to the UC DCP then Roth
IRA. Anyone also do this or is familiar with this retirement plan?
