Recommendations for a local Audi specialist mechanic?

We’ve been bringing our 2018 Q7 to our family’s generalist mechanic (who has done great with other car brands such as Ford, Honda, Chevy) since we bought it but unfortunately it’s not working out anymore. General maintenance and minor issues come back mere weeks after servicing and we’re now thinking we need someone specialized in Audis or at least European made cars.

Would love to have some suggestions, please and thank you!

Femur measuring 4 weeks behind but overall size in 9th percentile

35 weeks and had FGR diagnosed at 19 weeks - measured 8 weeks behind at that point. Overall percentile has been progressively getting better at my growth scans. At 26 weeks, it was in the 3rd percentile. At 29 weeks, it was the 5th percentile. At 32 weeks, it was 7th percentile. And at 35 weeks, it was 9th percentile.

My baby’s femur length has been consistently dragging size down. In the 2nd tri and early 3rd tri growth scans, it was measuring 2 weeks behind. At my 35 week scan though, it was all the way to measuring 4 weeks behind. All my other measurements are between 1-10 days behind (HC only 1 day behind, but AC measures behind by 10 days).

Measurements taken at 35w4d:

-BPD: 34w4d.
-HC: 35w3d.
-AC: 34w1d (19%).
-Femur: 31w5d

Wondering for anyone who had a baby with an outlier measurement like this, how was baby’s size at birth? Was it in line with the growth scan size?

Femur measuring 4 weeks behind

Has anyone had one of their growth measurements be so far behind all the others? Baby is overall in 9th percentile but the femur length is 4 weeks behind. Everything else is averaging about 1 - 7 days behind.

What did baby ultimately come out as?

Recommendations for baby wraps for preemie sized babies

Hi all, as far as carriers go I have an old ergobaby 360 and an artipoppe. However, I am having my baby in 4 weeks at 37 weeks and he has a FGR so is going to come out very small.

I have 2 other kids, one being a toddler so the baby wearing thing is essential to our chaotic daily life but I don’t even know where to start with a baby that small. I’m estimating when he’ll be born, he’ll probably be no more than low 5 lbs (if we’re lucky)…

Is there anything I could even use in those first few weeks or is baby wearing off the table until they are 7 lbs at least.

Metreon just opened up more IMAX 70mm showings for the Odyssey

Posted a few days ago lamenting the lack of availability for viewing the Odyssey in IMAX 70mm thru Aug 12. The Metreon (and Dublin) have both opened up one more week of showings and as of 6:30am, there is tons of availability.

Thank me later.

Edit: glad I could help so many of you out. We were down from our Masters lottery rejection yesterday and needed a W. Saw it in XD/D-box over the weekend and still yearned for the IMAX experience. True credit goes to my husband (I’m just a Nolan girly) who woke me up at 6:30 saying we needed to check our calendars ASAP.

Are Metreon IMAX 70mm seats for the Odyssey really booked up through mid-August?!

Went to look up tickets for The Odyssey on Fandango, particularly the IMAX 70mm showings and every day (including weekdays), it looks like only the first row and side seating in the 2nd row are what is available…all the way through mid-August.

I find this really hard to believe especially since we looked at all showtimes during the weekdays as well. Does the Metreon block out seats? Or are the showings really completely booked up for the next month?!?

Wondering if there’s some sort of strategy for securing decent seats for showtimes.

Edit: damn, consider me schooled. This is what I get for falling down on the in-theater viewing experience. Can’t remember the last time I saw an IMAX movie - must have been 8-10 years ago when we still lived in the city. I’m pregnant and having our baby at the end of August so I fear we’ve missed our IMAX 70mm viewing window of opportunity.

Edit2: ended up opting for an 8:30am showing at our local peninsula movie theater. XD, D-box/luxury recliners. With 2 kids already at home and me being due next month, just felt like the most realistic option for us and planning 🤷‍♀️ thank you everyone for the insight! Will plan way ahead next time.

37 week delivery with IUGR

I just had my c section scheduled for 37w1d due to previa and IUGR. I am 30w right now and at 29w, baby was measuring 5th %ile. This was up from 3rd %ile measured at 26w. My next growth scan isn’t for 2 more weeks but my weekly BPPs/dopplers have been really good so far.

Has anyone here had a 37 week delivery with IUGR? Can you help calm my nerves and share your experiences?

Supply differences between c section and vaginal deliveries?

I have a lot of anxiety going into my delivery. I need to have a c section due to previa so baby will be coming at 38 weeks (and is IUGR at 5 %ile) but my past two deliveries have been vaginal, post-dates (41 weeks) with expected EFW. This is our last baby and I really wanted to soak in every little bit all the way down to breastfeeding for as long as possible and I’m already mourning the birth experience I had wished to close out our journey.

My milk has always come in fast and heavy within 2-3 days, but I know that can be prolonged by a few more days with a c section. I am ok with that. But what is stressing me out is whether I’ll see different supply levels with a c section vs my two previous vaginals.

For anyone that has has both deliveries, would you mind sharing the differences (if any) in your breastfeeding journeys?

How are your 30-34 week IUGR babies now (1 year)

I’ve been curious about this. When I see comments from other preemie parents saying that their baby is X months old now and are doing great, what is the baseline that is being used to make that assessment? Is a 34 week baby walking at 1 year? Or what are the developmental milestones (motor and cognitive) that are being met to say that baby is now thriving? I assume baby has to be off of all medical support and is completely sufficient at that point? Or is that a grey area?

Curious because I have 2 other kids that have hit their milestones right on target (motor and speech) but our third baby is going to be a preemie. How should I be preparing myself (and also my kids) that our baby will be much different than they were.

How do you handle the NICU when you have kids at home

Will be delivering sometime between 32-35 weeks and have been told baby will need to stay in the NICU. However, how long is the question.

That being said, I have an 18 month old and a 5.5 year old. We are about to enter summer so the eldest will be home while the youngest will be in daycare…plus there’s a chance this all goes into my son’s first days of Kindergarten and I can’t imagine missing that experience for him.

How have you navigated NICU time and caring for your other kids? I had such seamless deliveries and postpartum experiences with my other kids and I’m so out of my depth here. I don’t know how to feel: scared, robbed, devastated?

Anatomy scan measurements all over the place. Femur measuring way behind others

Has anyone been in this position? My baby generally has a growth restriction (I’m 22 weeks and average lag is 10 days). However, I just got the formal results from my follow up scan last week and I didn’t realize how far behind the femur length was from everything else. I had declined an amnio because I am low risk, anatomy itself looks fine, and I’d rather not deal with the risks, but the femur length being so short is scaring me that I should have done it.

These were taken when I was 21w4d:

-BPD- 20w2d

-HC - 20w1d

-AC - 20w6d

-Femur - 19w3d

We’re already monitoring several abnormalities about the placenta. It’s bilobed and it’s previa.

Feel like I’m hanging on by a thread in my high risk pregnancy 😢

I’ve tried posting a few times but didn’t realize this was how I was feeling until now. I’m 21w5d and I feel like every day is just a time loop of running full the whole range of human emotions. Happy I was able to get pregnant with this baby that is so incredibly wanted but terrified that I’m living this pregnancy day to day. This pregnancy has just depleted me in more ways than one.

I’m 21w5d. I had my first anatomy scan 2 weeks ago and baby was measuring 8 days behind and I had complete placenta previa (centrally located at very low chance of moving). We did a followup the other day and the baby slowed down to now 10 days behind and my previa has now become a complete bilobed placenta previa which now puts me at a very high risk of vasa previa (which can lead to fatal fetal hemorrhaging). Things don’t seem to be trending well.

To top it off I got food poisoning yesterday that had me fighting for my life and spiraling that all the heaving would do something to my fragile placenta. I don’t have another followup until 26 weeks and it’s a certain kind of hell praying that with every day, I’ll still feel those kicks.
