I don’t know if this kind of post is allowed, but as a huge Nirvana fan, I was surprised to see that they’ve performed in Nebraska twice! once at a bar in Lincoln in 89, and again in Aksarben during their in utero tour in December of 93. I was not born yet when nirvana was touring, nor did I live in Omaha at the time (I’m from Denver). are there any fellow Omahomies who got to see Nirvana perform? And what was it like? I feel like Kurt would’ve appreciated the humility and friendliness of midwesterners.

I would love to hear stories and see any photos from their stop(s) in Nebraska, if anyone has any!

She’s the type to make herself the victim in every goddamn situation (very Taylor swift of her. I bet she’s a swiftie too 🙄). She has a ditsy, “innocent” persona that she wields like a weapon to ensure that she never has to take a crumb of accountability. Based on her pattern of behavior, I have no doubt that she would do the same in racially charged conversations. And I don’t believe that she’s actually as dumb as she comes across—I think she’s more calculated than we give her credit for. And don’t even get me started on the fake tears and GOD awful botched lip filler. I’m only on episode 7, but I’m already anticipating how she will behave at the reunion and I hope someone calls her ass out in front of a live studio audience! Killian’s ugly ass sucks donkey dick too, and they both deserve each other. The ONLY remaining people that I like on this season are Casey and Luke. I hope they end up together. Casey seems so kindhearted and she has a warm, inviting vibe.

Edit: I don’t care if this post offends you, and I’m disappointed in the amount of people who are failing to see the problem with Ashley’s victim complex. She is the kind of person who would center her own feelings in a conversation about privilege and race. A hit dog will always yelp. If you take offense to this post, I encourage you to look into why you feel defensive!! You can’t use feminism and misogyny as a way to shield white women from criticism! To those who suggested jealousy, I genuinely laughed at that. Ashley is not unattractive, but not super attractive either. We have GOT to stop using the argument that critiquing another woman is jealousy. Your personality makes you attractive or unattractive from the inside out. Ashley is only someone to be jealous of if white, skinny, and blonde is your interpretation of peak attractiveness. Some of us are just on Ritalin and decided to live stream our thoughts!

Most importantly, if you would genuinely be interested in learning more about the intersection of race and gender and how it can play out in situations like this, I would be happy to share some empirical studies, theoretical frameworks, and books written from an intersectional feminist lens. I believe that education should be accessible and I’m happy to get you started off on some important literature. Baddies stay informed and are open to learning! 🎓📚✏️✍🏽✨💖

Jebin is one of the most god awful reality tv show people I’ve ever had the misfortune to witness. not only is he painfully stupid, he has a severe allergy to taking accountability. his stupid, smug smirk as Alex red his (verbally abusive) letter out loud, not realizing that the letter revealed how revolting and disgusting he is. this man is rotten to the core. pathetic in every sense of the word. the way that he thinks about women shows that he doesn’t value them as human beings at all—he only values what a woman can do FOR him. he deserves to be single for the rest of the life and I hope he is humiliated. Alex deserves so much better and I hope she will not even look in his direction from now on. Now that we’ve established that he’s a pile of shit, can we also talk about how stupid his head looks? His side profile looks like someone smooshed a bell pepper with a sandwich press! joke’s on him—he made an ass out of himself on national TV and now any potential date can see how much of a loser he is!

I’m only halfway through episode 1, but I don’t get good vibes from anyone so far. The men are gross predators (Dave actually makes my skin crawl. He looks like he hits on 14 year old girls. Edris was the only hot one, until he opened his mouth and spoke). And most of the women look like the Saw mask with their over-inflated lips, bulbous cheeks, and pointy chins (aside from Jessica Grace. She’s serving.) most of these people look like the bitchy cheerleader girls and douche face soccer player boys I went to high school with. The kind who peaked in high school. I’m also getting some major MAGA vibes from most of them, which makes a person ugly from the inside out (and no, I will not entertain any comments about “tHeY jUsT haVE dIffeRenT OpInIonS.” If you’re defending MAGAts, that’s a confession on your end).

Please tell me it gets better?! What are your thoughts? Is there anyone you’re rooting for?

Hi! I know many fellow redditors are sad that Sakura Bana is no longer around. My favorite dish there was oyakodon. Ika ramen also makes a decent oyakodon, but I can’t find it on their menu anymore. Does anyone have any recommendations for places that make good oyakodon in Omaha?
