So I am on a gap year and targeting giki,nust and pieas. For cs,ee and mechanical. What is the test pattern of giki and is it easier than nust and pieas or same. And also how hard is to get the merit scholarship. and secondly does giki have some other types of scholarships other than merit one in the entry test.
I am from peshawar board so in peshawar board we study c++. I gave a test in 2026 fall session phase 2 test there was c language there. I though I should learn from punjab board books since they study c language but then I came to know they released new books in which everything is related to python. Now which book should I learn computer science from. Or should I learn c independant of any book and just revise the basic concepts like networks etc. any guidance helps.

I am from a ICS Background from Peshawar. Got 88% in matric and 87.5 in fsc part 1. I got accepted in iba karachi but got rejected for financial aid instead they offered student loan which I rejected. Now I am looking towards LUMS for BS Computer Science or BS Electrical Engineering but I am really confused about the process of selection and merit. I am from ics background so what I do when I am studying is for example I am studying a topic in physics. I read that topic. Understand it. Understand the formulas. Learn the formulas.
