I feel like MMO and multiplayer gaming communities have all seen a rise in low-effort metas, and hiveminds of casual gamers that follow them religiously, in particular since the pandemic gaming era, but I feel like it especially has shot up in the last two years.
I’m not hating on casual gamers, but I am hating on the fact there has been a noticeable increase in completely bad faith arguments and people just not even reading the actual words of comments they are replying to amongst gaming forums. Especially so after 2024 or so. And usually these arguments stem from these kinds of folk wanting super low-effort metas.
It makes it hard, because I grew up on MMORPGs and was always looking to not only just get better, but discuss with others and grow game lore and mechanical skill knowledge with people on forums, which feels almost impossible to do now constructively, because so many more people nowadays want games to play themselves for them, and can’t even discuss the game properly or civilly if they don’t feel like development decisions are catered to them.
Maybe I’m just bitter from being on too many forums since leaving my nice Discord game discussion groups (due to Discord’s ID bs), but for every two nice and healthy gaming discussions I’ve had, it’s been like seven or eight just absolute slogs of weird redditor energy, underhanded tactics, and either projection or people just trying to talk over me without addressing anything I’ve actually said.
I notice similar patterns in other discussion circles, especially with a lack of empathy. I know times are hard right now, certainly for myself as well, but are we really just going to make it harder for each other?
I have my own interpretations of what I drew, but I wanted to see what others thought of it, maybe there is an angle I'm not considering, or an aspect I haven't pondered.
I simply asked my deck, for curiosity, "Who Am I?"
4 of Clubs, Ace of Clubs, 3 of Spades, King of Hearts, 2 of Clubs, none reversed.
Thanks in advance <3
Hi! I am very new to Cartomancy, but I am trying it out for some self-reflection & discovery.
I asked a question about myself that has three possible answers, and drew two cards for each answer.
I am having trouble interpretting the general basis, a lot of sites seem to disagree and/or focus too much on love/marriage interpretations, when this is more of an introspective question. Could someone more experienced than me give me the general vibe of each answer?
2 of Spades, Ace of Hearts
10 of Clubs, 3 of Hearts
6 of Hearts, 6 of Spades
Thanks in advance!
Hi guys, today I learned this subreddit exists. For context I am 190cm.
I have been supposedly "bigger" all of my life, when I was in my late teens and early 20s I worked out a ton and got the largest I've ever been @ 285ish without supplements. I grew up in East Coast US, and never really considered myself a "big" dude, but I was also bullied a lot for being special needs & being a bit sensitive of a guy, especially as I was younger.
Then in my adult life I worked for WWE for a day and felt like a midget next to a number of the wrestlers, even though I had a couple inches on Cena.
Then the pandemic happened roughly a month later, and I lost my gains due to a mental health decline.
Then I immigrated back to my family's home country of Mexico in 2021, and ever since then I've been told I am this tall, massive imposing dude, and when I shop nothing actually fits me here. I don't fit a lot of ergonomics even in the US and I have broken more chairs just by general use than I'd like to admit. (Currently waiting on my 4th chair of the last 10 months(?) to arrive)
I went to Japan for 3 weeks and had a similar experience, but it was more about my width than my height necessarily it seems.
I'm sitting around 240 but if I cut the fluff I would probably be around 225 if I didn't go for muscle gains (but my family's food is too good). If I took something like Ozempic the most I would drop to would be like 185-190 I think.
But what's the line? When is someone just somewhat tall vs a "big" dude? I've had two extremes of experiences and seem to have lost an objective view of the point along the way. I tried looking at studies objectively but I would like to discuss this further with people clearly interested in this stuff.
Thanks in advance!
Hi, I'm finally at a point I can dedicate time to studying HEMA.
I wanted to know if there was a proper HEMA group in Mérida, otherwise I'm going to start my own. But, I didn't want to step on toes if there already is one.
If there isn't, however, who wants to study together?
Thanks in advance <3
So, I am a multi-ethnic man who has had an identity crisis for a long majority of his life. I decided to pursue other avenues than my usual in my quest of introspection. After reading a bunch, I figure astrology may at the very least give me the cookie shape I was cut from, if not more, which will help me on that path towards self-clarity and my own development.
From my limited understanding and yesterday's afternoon deep-dive of astrology, I read that lean more intellectual when processing emotions, but that I am a bit of a chameleon in the sense of adapting to different energies, which might partially explain some things?
Am I wrong? What else can be extracted here? I am tired of bothering those close to me with the same questions that float in my brain, and I have hit a bit of a road block in my research.
Thank you and have a wonderful day <3

We didn't even get to go at all our last two turns, the animations took so long...
I truly do not mind if I lose, but if I can't even take multiple turns because the animations are so obnoxious, that is just outright unfair.
Please for the love of god let us turn off animations.
The box you have to defend in Manning Zoo doesn't scale in Escalation. It got one shot immediately. Rip tokens 😭

My wife, who has spent at this point a whopping TWELVE HOURS IN TOTAL IN DIVISION 2 has enjoyed running around for lanterns greatly.
However, at hour 10, we decided to open up a couple gear caches since she finally had all of her kitsune cosmetics.
In her first 10 gear caches she got
A quickstep
A maxed lexington (regular)
Two maxed Turmoils
And last but certainly not least;
A PROTOTYPE FIRST BLOOM WITH DTOOC.
SHE DIDNT EVEN KNOW PROTOTYPES EXISTED.
She just said "hey, it gave me a purple gun >:(" and I turned around to the sight of her first Prototype, her 10th hour of ever playing Division.
Ive opened 200ish caches at this point, nothing proto.
I at least got my turmoils, but man...

Imagine having proto gear 10 hours into playing Division 2, let alone of your favorite gun
Guess she is the only player with a 100% success rate at prototype lol
