Mac Campus Parking Pass
I'm looking into getting a mac campus parking pass but I can't find the cost anywhere. I filled out the form but couldn't find anything on that site or any others about pricing.
I planned to get the annual pass.

So last night I had a dream that I was showing my friends the "new season of 911" and like all my dreams, it wasn't very clear, but here's the synopsis:
It was a season-opener disaster type episode with a really big shark that attacked a cruise ship. It somehow got a bunch of life jackets with ropes connected them stuck in its teeth (which would never happen because shark's teeth are like razors but neither dreams nor 911 have very sound logic) and people thought the life jackets dragging behind were people swimming to safety, and it was really the shark pulling them, and it kept eating people until the 118 showed up (because of course they did) and corralled it before it could hurt anyone else.
It seemed bizarre as hell when I woke up, but I want to know, how likely is this to be a 911 episode? Like, we've been seeing the season-opener disasters get wilder and wilder as they need to come up with new things, so do we think a shark may be in our future? Would they corral it? Would they inaccurately portray shark anatomy and behaviors?
Anyways, this is kinda dumb, but I thought i'd share :P
I have been drinking bottled kombucha (synergy) for a while and absolutely loved it. I loved the fizz, the ferment, and the fruit.
Well, I decided to branch out a few weeks ago and try another brand. Health-Ade was well recommended so I figured why not?
Evil. It had the most FOUL aftertaste. It was so strong and made me want to gag. I tried another flavor? Same thing. Neither were expired. Had a friend try it and he didn't taste it.
Now when I have my delicious amazing synergy kombucha... I've started tasting the aftertaste! It's slight, but it's taken a lot of the enjoyment out of it for me. (You don't want to have to chug some water after every sip of your drink to wash out the aftertaste)
So my question is: has anyone else experienced this? Is is potentially specific batches of kombucha or is it all kombucha and I've just started noticing this? What brands have no aftertaste?
Thank you! I'm new to the community and just want to enjoy my fermented tea again 🥲
Southern PA, I'm trying to find a plant that STINKS to me and doesn't smell to anyone else. I smelled it while walking past two of these guys, but didn't smell it when I was close. Figured I'd check what it was anyways!
DISCLAIMER: I am not a professional dancer, just someone who grew up watching SYTYCD with dancers. And these are just my opinions and anyone is free to disagree w/ me!
I assumed Erik was going to win the whole thing, he was the most professional personality of the guys and a great dancer. It absolutely sucks that he went home because of not having a "wow moment" that wowed the judges. They didn't not have a moment, it just didn't hit, but they (in my unprofessional opinion) had the best contemporary! It was smooth, flowing, and emotional in a very raw and believable way!
I can't see Allen or Nina as pros, they're incredibly unprofessional in my opinion. Nina is super petty and takes everything personally, and Allen just... doesn't seem all there and is crying all the time (i'd be annoyed if he was a woman, you don't need to break down anytime anything happens COME ON)
AJ annoyed the hell out of me up until this point. He's my second choice to win now. Maybe it was the edit, but it seemed like all he did was brag about being a professional and winning a (very prestigious) competition award. He also led every group/partnership rather than collaborating which annoyed me. All his dances seemed boring to me. NOW finally the hubris breaks and he has actual struggle and he overcame it in a great way! It wasn't the best contemporary performance that night, but he showed more emotion than before which really showed off his potential.
I haven't gotten a beat on Adele fully, but she's probably my third runner up to win. She's got the skill (though i felt her contemporary was the weakest yesterday) but I don't feel confident she has the ability to lead a star. She needs some more confidence!
Now I gotta hope my girl Selena brings it home! She's such a strong dancer and I feel like she could highlight a star's ability super well. I do think she could use a bit more confidence, but she's real close.
All in all, i feel like this show is focusing too much on the challenge of the night and the dancing quality of that day, rather than actually taking into consideration who would be the best next pro. Which in my opinion was Erik. I wish there were challenges with the actual pros coming in where they have to choreograph the routine for them, and maybe even bring in friends/family that aren't dancers and try and teach them a routine. It feels like they're trying to fill the market that SYTYCD left rather than actually make a show about finding a new pro.
I (18F) am working in my first office job. It's in records, and I really like it. I'm good at it, I'm paid way better than my customer service job, and my boss (70M) is really chill. He acknowledges the work I put in and when I get my work done early he lets me basically hang around on the clock and do whatever I want (I've almost knitted an entire sock at this point) and occasionally lets me go an hour early and clocks out for me.
My two coworkers (64 and 65F) are really frustrated by him. He manages our area as well as all the deliveries in a five building campus (and a sixth off campus building) for an international company. When he's not there it's bad because they need to be able to contact him. When he's there he's "micromanaging" or "doesn't know what he's doing" because he asks for clarification on what they're doing and how much has gotten done (the company gets paid per page)
Today a new person started and her job description is for receiving, so not exactly working in our department. Our boss put her with one of my coworkers to get trained on some records things. An hour or so later she asked about her job description because she thought she was going to be on the loading dock, but it was her first day so she just went along with what the boss said. Which is fair. I suggested she texted our boss (he's told us to do that before if we have questions, he's easy to reach and very responsive) but one of my coworkers acted like I suggested for her to go jump off a cliff or something. Her eyes got all wide and she was like "nooo don't do that, he'll be mad at you" and then the two others went down the spiral of complaining about him. They asked my other coworker (30-40F) and she said that she was probably just being cross-trained. Coworkers didn't like that answer and kept complaining.
Well, boss just came in and talked to them (he doesn't yell, but he always talks with a very firm tone, even in casual conversation) about how busy he is and how he knows what he's doing but he can't be their to babysit them all the time and he needs them to just do what he asks and if they have questions to just ask rather than talk about him.
As soon as he left they were back to complaining! They said they needed to talk to HR/he needs to retire/etc. It just shocks me how they don't see if they just like... let their boss be their boss how much easier their life would be. I feel like I'm going crazy with how much most of the people here dislike him when it's completely their fault he's upset at them for gossiping about him!
Thankfully it's a temp job and I'm out of here next week. I don't know how many times I can explain to my coworker that the young men in sheisties living with an older woman in her apartment building are not "hooligans" and they're not going to rob her on their way to their grandma's house.
My family is staying at a cute little cottage in the woods for our vacation. It's super well decorated and has great amenities and glowing reviews, however there are some small things we weren't expecting.
For one, almost none of the doors shut, my bedroom has to remain cracked unless I want to be trapped in there. I got it partially shut once and spent three minutes trying to get it open again. The bathroom also does not shut fully.
There is also only one bathroom on the upper floor, which is pretty inaccessible. It wasn't listed and is pretty inconvenient for us but I imagine it'd be a shock for anyone who needs accessibility.
The stairs are also super perilous, they're likely not up to code, they're super tall, and the railing at the top barely reaches our knees.
Also, we are currently cooking up our brunch and landscapers just arrived. We went back through the messages with the host and nowhere does it say anything about landscapers coming and when. We were planning to eat out on the covered porch (there's a table and chairs out there specifically for outdoor dining) and we're now waiting until they leave. Update: as i finished writing they left. They were only here for about 20 minutes.
Combined with some other run down elements, it seems like the cute decor is covering up a lot of issues. But I wanted to hear some other perspectives, is this normal? Not a big issue? I don't want to leave a bad review if it's not actually that bad (in reality i'd probably just take my five stars down to a four, the host was really friendly in the messages and the place hits the vibe)
EDIT: so I'm not the one who made the rental, it was my parents (i am an adult, just didn't want to sound like some twelve year old spouting nonsense) but i have access to all the messages and the listing info. These were mainly issues my parents shared and I wanted to get some info from other people. If it was actually me leaving a review i'd give it five stars and pay it no mind. Most things weren't really a big deal for me (except the really short railing next to the very narrow landing, it gives me anxiety but i think i just didn't understand the scale in the listing photos)
The landscapers were a momentary inconvenience because we were about to head outside to the outdoor dining area to eat, but they were quick and efficient and my mom said she might send a message to the owner after our stay saying a heads up would have been nice. But from what I'm hearing, some landscaping services (especially like the one here that serves most of the houses in the area) may not have a specific time they come by, so I'll relay that info to her.
The doors not shutting is definitely due to humidity, i've just not had doors that wouldn't shut at all, they've all just needed a good shove. I guess it's just due to the age of the house and y'all are right, it's to be expected in a place like this.
The accessibility thing was more my mom saying "well, that might be an issue if someone doesn't know it's not accessible!" but in my mind I thought it's just assumed not accessible unless marked as such. Sounds like that assumption was right!
I'll suggest that we leave five stars, because it's what our host deserves for all the effort she put in and kindness she showed us, we may just suggest she has something written about landscapers showing up at some point. Especially because they are LOUD and this place has no AC so the windows were all open. I'm just glad we are early risers haha.
Thanks for all the advice! It's much appreciated
My mom has these old pj pants that she loved, they're comfortable and a really pretty striped pattern. There's a hole on the side of the pantleg (it's frayed, not from stitching coming undone) and I wanted to surprise her and make something new out of it for her. Or even maybe just fix them if possible. But I wanted some ideas! I have all her measurements so I could even make a top out of it if that's a possibility. I just wanted some ideas because I was having trouble coming up with something.
Hello! Amateur seamstress here- I wanted to start adding tags into my pieces, but I'm not sure where to find any good ones. I looked on etsy and over half the photos were ai or bad photoshop and I figured I best get real human opinions.
I'd prefer something cheaper, but I know you get what you pay for so if the only way to get good customer service is tags is to pay a steeper price, I'm down!
Thanks in advance :]
I really like semi-human character designs and have always loved the idea of wearing fangs with a cosplay, but couldn't think of anything to do it with!
Also the dog would not be involved in the cosplays, I just included him in the photos cuz he's a cutie :P Sorry for the random photos. I don't take pics of myself often 🥲
I (18F) have a sister (14F) that my mom is way harsh on.
For context: My sister is diagnosed with ID (intellectual disability) and anxiety. She also has strong OCD tendencies, but hasn't been diagnosed. My mom has struggled with depression and anxiety. She says she has OCD but I haven't observed any tendencies and she's not diagnosed. But also I'm not a professional. I'm home for the summer back from my first year at university.
My sister is your typical teenager- on her phone all the time FaceTiming friends and loudly laughing, and then all groans and eye-rolls when she's around us. She has moments of being sweet and chatting, but they're few and far between. I don't think it is helped by my mom's attitude towards her. My sister is very forward. She directly states what she does and doesn't want, often without enough "reason" for my mom, so she thinks my sister is intentionally being difficult. An example of this is in the mornings when my mom is getting her breakfast (my dad and I both work full time jobs and leave early in the morning) and my sister is very particular about how things need to happen. If anything touches her "spot" where she eats, she won't eat breakfast. If the dog gets too close to my mom when she's touching the food, then she won't eat it. My mom, rather than getting frustrated at the situation, will loudly sigh and complain that my sister won't eat. She won't eat lunch at school because the cafeteria has too much going on to feel "clean" for her. My sister doesn't have the emotional regulation to directly state any of that, so often it's "eww no, Im not eating that." when the breakfast is set in front of her. It's usually just buttered toast, but it's still an effort gone to waste so my mom gets upset. She told me most days she cries after my sister gets on the bus.
When I interact with my sister, I try to meet her where she's at. I've got some compulsive tendencies and I understand they're not rational. So if I'm getting her food, and for some reason she sees it unfit, I'll ask her what she wants and try to save the other stuff. Today I made her lunch (it's the weekend so my dad and I help out more) and she only ate part of it. My mom was frustrated she didn't eat all of it, but I just finished her portion and she got something else. My mom says the compulsions are exhausting to keep up with and she "won't deal with it." Which just seems to stress out my sister more. It doesn't help.
The only "good" time they have together is hair day. My sister has sensory issues and can't go to a salon, so my mom does her hair. She has bad arthritis and almost always ends the day swollen and sore, but she and my sister just talk and watch shows and hang out all day. Almost always my mom will say "wow, that went really well!" as if they don't always.
The icing on the cake was today, where I ended up near tears at a comment my mom made. We watched the hunger games for the first time and Rue looks a lot like my sister. My mom wasn't really paying attention to the movie and said she didn't connect to it at all. I am over-empathetic and struggled at some of the scenes of the kids dying. Obviously I know it isn't real, but Rue's death really hit me hard, especially because she looked like my sister. I kept it to myself and we finished the movie. Then my mom made some joke about offering my sister to the games. I said that was awful to say. Later I told her how the movie affected me and she apologized for upsetting me. She said she was joking and she knows she should try and meet my sister where she's at but it's "Exhausting putting up with this emotional abuse every day." And how me and my dad don't see it. But I do see how my sister treats her. It's either normal teen shit or neurodivergence. I told her that maybe she could find a therapist to help her work through those feelings so it wouldn't feel so exhausting and she brushed me off.
In some ways I regret how I was growing up. My parents often talk about how I was a "perfect child." But really I was just terrified of breaking rules. I was always so scared to get in trouble even if the punishment was just people being disappointed in me. I'm a huge people pleaser and work hard at every thing given to me. And that's exhausting sometimes, but I'd rather be leaving a positive impact on the world. I just wish I had been a normal teenager or given my parents any kind of difficulty so my mom wouldn't think my sister is such a bad kid.
But is this too much for her? Am I not seeing how hard it actually is? I mean she's not the only one caring for my sister, me and my dad help a lot when we can. But we never seem to struggle as much as my mom at not getting upset when she's being difficult. When I was younger I used to be really mad at how my mom would talk to her, and I've made my mom cry before by suggesting she should try to understand where she's coming from. But my mom just shuts down and I'm worried I'm in the wrong. I just hope I can be successful enough coming out of college that my sister can come live with me. I think she'd be happier and I hopefully plan to move somewhere with better resources for her.
Also, just an addendum: We are trying to look for a therapist for my sister, but there is almost nothing in our area that isn't religion based therapy and she has a bad past with that, but we are trying.
I got this in a mystery thrift box. When I try to look it up, I can't find this exact purse anywhere. It has a susan gail logo in it and definitely feels and smells like real leather. I've looked up "susan gail black purse" and some variations of that but none of them resemble this specific guy.
I just wanna know like, is this a good purse? how old is it? anything interesting about the brand? I know nothing about purses so I wanna learn!
