In the middle of a discussion with my coworkers about the lowest price available on the TX Power to Choose website and Base prices, I noticed a slightly lower Base cost after my initial installation. It was 13.1; now it's showing 12.9. It's nothing in the end, but I'm curious about the adjustment.
Yesterday Base did the initial installation and now I waiting for the 40kw battery. They left a plastic base. I’m living in an area prone to tornadoes and hurricanes, I wonder if a “loose” battery is a hazard. I know it is very heavy but the last tornado that passed in my community made a truck fly hehe
Also, how long it usually takes to get a scheduled battery install date?
I really like Strong8k, their service was great during the World Cup and the vast channel line-up is amazing. However they are not so good when we’re talking about Brazilian channels. For other countries Strong8k usually have entire local cable provider lineups. In Brazil we had Claro and Globosat lineups but they dropped them. Some popular local channels like Globo Rio transmits wrong feeds or low resolution one very frequently, same for Globonews. I suggested improvements thru my Strong8k reseller but nothing changed. Any hint how to contact them? Brazil is a big TV market, for sure the largest in the south hemisphere.
I just got this from Base. $1k was too much for me, and I skipped the generator port. Now, while I'm waiting for them to schedule the installation, the new "beta" 40 kWh battery is the option offered to me, maybe with the generator port as stated in the email.
It's a small issue but significant when the app is being used by an elderly or non-tech person hehe I'm using mostly the "native" 8K Player Prime - mostly for speed, no new address setup, rolling channel lists... well, when I leave the app or turn the TV/Android TV box off and then return to the app, the screen remains black until I jump to a different channel. It doesn't immediately reload the image of the previously tuned channel. For me, it's ok, but for my elder parents and sister, it means the system "is not working". Hints? I changed the format, player, etc, but it doesn't fix the problem. I wonder if it's an app thing or the Onn box/Android build I'm using in all the aforementioned scenarios. Tks!
Há bastante tempo não consigo usar o app ClaroTV+ (TV box Android, iPhone e Apple TV) no exterior (EUA). Com ou sem VPN, não roda. Fica uma tela preta carregando os "canais" e nada. Um pouco antes da Copa, ele começou a funcionar sem VPN (com VPN não) e... tudo certo! Hoje não consigo mais utilizá-lo. Alguma dica?
I’ve been struggling with CarPlay since we’ve bought our two CX50 (Preferred 2024). My wife has an IPhone 16 Pro Max and I have a 17 Pro Max. The disconnections are frequent in both cars. I already complained and nothing was fixed. Two cars, two phones, updated iOS always… it’s a CX50 issue I suppose!
Well, sorry if it was discussed here before, but I found a solution… a $12 wired to wireless CarPlay adapter available at Amazon. It connects even faster than the native CX50 CarPlay, the firmware can be updated via browser and it’s fast. No more disconnections after a week. I had other adapters in the past - noticeably Carlinkit with my RAV4 and it wasn’t very stable. This one is tiny, doesn’t overhead and it’s works very well.
I was trying to connect my iPad to the RC2 and found several videos showing a two-cable solution (USB-C to HDMI and an HDMI capture cable connected). Well, I found this cable on Amazon, and it's working fine with my iPad Air and another A16 iPad too. Just one cable with a USB-C connector in the middle that allows the connection of a charger or external battery pack, if needed. It works without it, though.
The iOS app I'm using is called HDMI Monitor - Orion.
Update: it also works with an external USB-C monitor, but the remote's battery consumption will be much higher since the screen doesn't have an internal battery.
