Bike Computer Advice

I want to spend no more than $700CAD.

I’m really between a Garmin Edge 840 ($550), Edge 850 ($700), Wahoo Roam or Ace (around or just below $700) or Hammerhead Karoo ($700).

(And, just for the sake of argument, I can get an Edge 1050 for $839).

The only other inputs I’m using now are a Coros HR monitor and Garmin Varia radar.

I’m not otherwise tied to any brand.

I want good/clear navigation on roads and light trails in the city. Since I’m using it for some nav, screen can’t be tiny, but I don’t think that’s an issue with any.

I’d like reliable live tracking (for my wife’s peace of mind), but if I carry my phone, it also has that.

I’d like incident/crash detection, as I’m riding solo a lot. On that note, I see that the Karoo doesn’t have it natively built in but there may be a third party app. Not sure if it’s any good…
