Please help me figure out why I don't like these pants

I sewed these Pietra Pants a while back but I never reach for them, despite them being very comfy. Something just feels off about them. They look kind of like karate pants to me. It may just be that I feel weird in white pants for some reason, but a few other things stand out to me:

- the crotch area looks weird, I think because I shortened it. Do the inner thighs need to be slimmed down?

- the gathering from the elastic over the seat looks strange, but I think that's primarily due to my fabric choice (heavyweight linen). Would another line of stitching across the bottom of the elastic help it lay flatter?

- Not sure if the wide hem for ankle length is the way to go. Thoughts? I definitely want to keep them ankle length, but would the hem look better more narrow?

Feel free to share any thoughts, including that I'm being too nit picky. I spent so much time and money on these pants that I really want to make them work.

EDIT: so the consensus it that they're as bad as I thought. I was hoping I was just being too picky. My new plan is to spend the rest of my life seam ripping and use the fabric for a princess seam tank haha

What to line Indian block print dress with

I have some IBP cotton that’s sheer and needs lining. I would normally use the main fabric as the lining but I don’t think I’ll have enough. would you use calico? I’m worried it wont be soft enough. at least compared to IBP. thoughts?

Ideas for indoor (at home) 3 y.o. birthday party

We planned a back garden party for my soon-to-be 3 year old this coming Saturday. Paddling pool, bubbles, chalk, sand pit.... the whole nine yards. It's looking like there's a good chance of rain (and not very warm).

What are some ideas that we can do inside the house if needed? We'll have six 3 year olds and their parents. We have a decent amount of space but I'm thinking I'll need to rent a canopy for outside for the extra space.

how long should I stick it out with triple cream?

I started it about 5 weeks ago and see absolutely 0 progress. If anything, my skin is just drier. Is there still hope of things turning around, or should I cancel my next shipment?

Trying to get into my daughter's gmail- Family Link

She's a toddler and it's an account I set up when she was born. I'm trying to get into it and the password isn't working. When I requested a recovery link sent to my gmail I got it, but when I click on it it says "Accounts managed by Family Link are not allowed to sign in here." But there's no link to where I can sign in. I went to the Family Link page and am not seeing where I can change the password.

ETA: I have used both my phone and my mac to try to no avail

Now that the weather is warmer I want to start eating easy/quick meals outside. What is something that is a complete meal that is no cook but also nutritious?

I've made these before and they turned out fine. Making them again and the pockets are on the wrong side of the fabric. It'll be fine with my fabric because I can't tell the difference between the sides, except that I marked them. Please look at pics and tell me if I'm not reading correctly. It says white = right side, gray = wrong side. Then says "right sides together" but is showing wrong sides together.
