New postdoc topic

I'm a PhD student in the humanities and I will start applying to postdocs soon. How normal is it to switch research topics from the PhD to the postdoc? The new topic I want is still within the same field, but definitely a different subfield. Will this switch be looked at suspiciously by selection committees?

For those of you who don't wanna bother watching the video, she is talking about how her mother in law is trying to get this cafe to name a latte after her and just goes into the cafe and asks for the "Eli latte."
