Just signed up for YTV last month. The NC and Notre Dame game is on the ESPN unlimited channel feed on YTV and it has no announcers? And the primary camera is just the sky cast camera?

AND ITS AMAZING.

Like holy crap, no annoying announcers to listen to, commercials are just white noise, the surround sound is amazing. The sky cam is awesome. It legitimately feels like you’re at the game with the best seat in the house.

Has this always been the case with Unlimited? Does else enjoy these games or just me?

My spouse and I are big coffee drinkers…usually an Americano or two for my spouse, myself usually a cold brew a day and an after dinner shot (coffee before bed doesn’t affect me and I use that instead of dessert keeps cravings at bay). We also have family at our house weekly that now love this machine and use it as well.

So we’re going through local fresh roasted beans like crazy since they’re so expensive around us ($20 or more for a 12oz bag). We’ve had this machine for 2 weeks and already at $60 for 3 bags of coffee (haven’t started the third bag but it’s getting close). We used to get big bags of beans from Costco but everywhere I read that this machine needs fresh roasted beans to work best.

So what are you all using for beans? In the long run I guess we are still saving a bit, but it’s something we’re keeping an eye on.

Father’s Day coming up so gift to myself…trying to decide which one I want to go with…I wanted wood burning and gas option but Koda Pro with wood is $849 and I can’t justify that when the Max is on sale for cheaper. But I saw the gozney today at Home Depot and man is it nice.

Which would you go with?

I’m sharing this story because I think it’s important since I’m seeing a LOT of posts on here about building apps with no users, or “AI” pushback, all that jazz. First off, I’ve been accused in the past of my writing style on Reddit being AI, and it’s offended me because I typically put a lot of effort into my Reddit posts to have conversations. I promise this post was written by me and will include all sorts of spelling errors and maybe even some rambling thoughts and might be a bit too long. Sue me if it bothers you (I’m not being serious; please don’t sue me).

First off, as I said, I built an app. Best part? I’m not going to show you all. I’m not here to promote my app.

The reason I’m making this post Is because I saw another one on here musing about how “I made an app with no users” and how all apps are shipped in a weekend, etc.

So many are building to make the next “overnight 30,000 revenue” app. So many are deflated when it doesn’t. So many are deflated when there’s no users. So many are deflated when they’re told their app looks like everyone else’s. And they’re right.

My advice is build an app you actually want to use and be proud of, or that will benefit someone else. If you think Claude will build you the next great SaaS app, it will. Claude design will make it look like everything else though, and Reddit and the internet will say it’s AI Slop. Cause it is. And you know they’re right, because even you don’t want to use it. You just want to make money. And that’s admirable, I get it!

But the AI backlash is in full swing. People of all generations everywhere are fully into being against AI. And all these apps that look clearly AI aren’t going to get users because they’re purposely avoiding them. Because they know you didn’t give a shit about making something you were passionate about, so why should they? And we alllllll know deep down, that they’re right. So fix it. I think that’s how AI will eventually be accepted by people, when people start using it for a beneficial purpose. Maybe I’m wrong. I hope I’m not.

Build something with purpose. Invest your time. Be passionate about what you’re building. Without going into it too much, my app lets special needs individuals use videos to communicate. But it has a specific niche and target audience. I had to build it thinking about ffmpeg and implementing that and goodness, that was rough. I built the app icon in Icon Composer on my Mac. I put time into it. It was all worth it.

You might think that I meant my one user of my app was me. You’d be wrong. My one user is my child with special needs. And I get to watch him use something I built for him every single day that lets him navigate the world better than he was before. He’s my only user. He’s my best user. I make $0 from him. I have no other users. How he uses it is priceless. He gives me purpose, and I used that purpose to build with Claude. You can too.

Go build something great!

We’re at a loss of what to do anymore. I think I’ve read every post on Reddit I could find and not one of them has a solution.

Our dining room is ruined. The cat has peed in every corner of it and our subfloor is ruined. He started peeing in our family room, he peed in our kids rooms, and now he’s peeing in our living room.

We have been to the vet for this multiple times, and I lost it on our vet last time, because they said it’s behavioral but they will not put the cat on prozac. The gabapentin didn’t work for him.

He had urinary issues and had his male parts removed a few years ago. So every time he’s done this we’ve taken him to the vet. Everything turns up clean.

We have three kids and a German shepherd dog. The kids are 9, 4 and 2 and yes, the young kids chase after him because they love him. Sure, that’s not right, and we police the behavior and stop them, but they’re still kids. The German is 5 years old (the cat is 6) and again, if he’s stressed? I don’t blame him. But when I tell our vet that, they just shrug their shoulders and say they don’t recommend prozac for him. They have fought my wife and I on this multiple times. We considered seeing another vet, but when we called in our area, they said they weren’t accepting new clients and that the cat would require a full checkup and blood work and everything and won’t use the records we have from our vet.

The cat is from a shelter and is fixed as well as having his urinary parts removed.

We have five litter boxes in this house, and we’ve tried every kind of litter box that exists: with or without lid, open at the top or at the side, big, very big, with or without a door. Right now all the boxes are open, but they vary in size or model.

We’ve tried multiple litters.

We’ve cleaned with enzymes. He’ll just find another spot.

He’s on purina Urinary UX I think it’s the name. He doesn’t get any other food.

We clean his main box everyday. He doesn’t use the others.

We’re at our wits end. Anyone have advice?

Longtime Apple user (used to work for them even) so I know stuff like this with a new product can happen, but I’m genuinely baffled.

Got my Max 2 about 2 weeks ago…since then I’ve now had 3 instances where I go to put them on and they’re dead: I press the button and the amber light starts flashing.

I keep them in the case bra thing every time, they don’t ever leave it unless I’m using them. The last time this happened I even checked my phone to see if I could still connect to them in the case, because my AirPods Pro 2 had an issue like that. But they weren’t an option. I last used them 3 days ago when I charged them, put them back in the case, and I just picked them up about 10 minutes ago and they’re totally dead.

I know having worked for Apple how the support would go: unpair them, call or visit if it happens again. Maybe even reset my phone. So is there genuinely something I could be doing wrong or that I’m missing instead?
