Heres My Pitch For the 2028 X-Men Movie in the mcu which is mostly me outlining:
While they have Always existed, The Mutant Population Have Been Growing Organically As a result of the immense cosmic radiation released between 2018-2023. Scientists never discovered the X-Gene and just assumed Individuals with abilities gained them or were just rare enhanced beings.
The Movie Begins with Charles Xavier Of Renown Wealthy Individual explaining what mutants are (can be narratively) and Revealing His already formed X-Men to the world who have been fighting crime and recruiting mutants for his School.
for storytelling purposes i would start with a smaller roster that gradually increases in future projects.
My Roster would be Storm,Jean,Beast,Iceman Colossus,Nightcrawler and then Cyclops who’s front and Centre
The Main Antagonists would be Human & classic Sentinels to lay the Political & Social thematic foundations of the X-Men. Avalanche as a secondary villain who they just constantly run into throughout the movie that causes chaos and only worsens public perception.
- A very small subtle Mr sinister tease (Old Archived research from a unknown company that predates the X-mans reveal was used in creating sentinels discovered by beast)
- Introduce Magneto in this movie not as a villain yet and establish him as an acquaintance of Xavier. Character arc throughout the movie showing Him Gradually lose optimism in Xavier’s Approach and by the end after the conflict he makes a switch.
- I would like for Wanda & Pietro to be hinted as his kids ( their parents in sokovia adopted them). It Doesn’t have to be fully explained in the movie but Maybe there could be a throwaway line on how Magneto previously had a lover who suddenly disappeared
- For The Ending i would make it bitter sweet showing the x-men having a baseball game while Xavier stares outside the window. Then Ending with with a wider shot showing two new recruits arrive at the mansion
Mid Credit: Brotherhood tease showing Erik meet with two or three other mutants even approaching Avalanche. (Sets up a direct Sequel)
Post Credit: Savage Land Tease maybe showing a research expedition in the Antarctica (Instead Of A Movie this could plant seeds for a TV project that could dive more Into Mutant Mythology and show there more Adventurous side. For A TV show i would have it be GOT Meets The O.C Meets Adventure time.
My Movie Pitch:
With Mutants Slowly Being introduced in previous projects my explanation for their absence would be that they always existed however only a small minority and Scientists never discovered the x-gene so they assumed individuals gained the powers or inherited it. Then the cosmic radiation from the snaps between 2018-23 caused a surge in the activation on the X- Gene.
Now For the Movie releasing in 2028 i think Xavier Schools should already be established with some students and the X-man being together for some time.
- The Beginning Of The Movie Should Be Xavier Introducing X-Men to the world and explaining what mutants are. I think from a storytelling aspect it’s better and effective to start off with a relatively small roster (7) and have it gradually increase with them recruiting students in the future maybe by the end.
- My roster would be Storm,Cyclops,Beast,Colossus,Nightcrawler,Jean and Iceman
