CENG101 with Martha Addante

I’m thinking of taking this course online in the fall. However, I was going over the syllabus and noticed that all the assessments are graded on a pass/fail basis. My goal in the class is to at least get an A so I was wondering if anyone who has already taken the class can comment on what constitutes a pass/fail as it is pretty vague?

Arms (triceps) look fine from front and side but lacking from the back (pics attached)

I’ve been working out since mid May and have seen some good progress in my arms. Yet, the back of my arm (medial head of tricep I believe) seems to be lacking despite me pushing just as hard on tricep exercises. For reference I do, 3 sets of dips per week and 6 sets of tricep cable push downs using the straight bar attachment. I also eat 1g/lb of body weight in protein.

I am tall and i have lanky limbs so this might be something I cannot overcome due to my body structure but I was just wondering if any of you had a similar issue and were able to fix it.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Why do people say UofT is a research heavy school when UofT explicitly states that research is not required at all for admission?

Is it more of a hidden requirement where they say u don’t need it but if u have it u get a higher score?

Anyone take HLSC3712 (Ethics) with Andrew Muncaster?

If so, how was the course in terms of difficulty and achieving a good grade?

A bit confused about the research section

If I had a summer research position (paid) that resulted in a poster, does it go under research or employment. I’ve seen some ppl say to double list it under employment and research but I’m not sure how this would work since there would be overlap between the description and responsibilities sections. I’m just a bit confused what type of research would go in each section.

Got called gay for sitting cross-legged with one hand in the air as a male

I wasn’t even trying to act zesty. It’s just a Habit I naturally have. But then one of my family friends called me out and said: “why r u sitting like such a f*g?” And everyone at the table laughed. I understand that it was just meant as a joke but it really ticked something off in my brain. Now I can’t stop hyperfixating on the incident and wondering if my subconscious way of sitting is somehow a reflection of my brains sexual chemistry. I hate ppl and gatherings that do this to me *sigh*

Genuinely what is up with these incompetent ass academic advisors?

What is my tuition paying for if they can’t respond to emails on time (after 15 business days mind you), and help me sort out a simple registration issue that would take 1 second to fix but could ruin my whole career if not addressed on time. Genuinely got some of the laziest people working here.

Did uoft med force students to defer or give them the option?

I recently discovered that the school actually over OFFERED this year. Not sure how this can even happen when things like a waitlist exist… but anyways, we know med school admissions are a joke. My question is though, did they force certain people to defer or did everyone get the option to defer and the school hoped enough ppl would choose to do so. Just curious!

Also! Won’t this affect ppl applying in the upcoming cycle since some spots will already be reserved for ppl who deferred?

Having transcript sending issues as a transfer student

I’m transferring to a different university next year and chose for my transcripts to be sent at the end of the winter term. Grades were released over a week ago but they still haven’t been sent. I’m not sure what to do.

Transfer student having transcript sending issues

I applied to transfer to 2 universities. I requested my high school and year 1 university transcripts through ouac. It says that my high school sent my transcript at the beginning of April. However, one of my universities is saying they didn’t receive it. I’m not really sure what to do jn this case as I already spent a lot of money on these transcript requests and I’d expect ouac to be the most secure/easy way to get this done. Has anyone experienced this issue? Please help.

The deadline for transfer students to submit their supp apps is today at 3pm. Therefore, they can’t release decisions for first year entry before this time as it could lead to prospective transfer students changing their answers based on those of first year admitted students.
