Simple Relaxed Routine

Hey everybody, I’m thinking about relaxing my hair after this pregnancy. Are there any super simple relaxed hair routines that I can follow? I’ll be dealing with a newborn and won’t have the patience or funds to do a 15 step routine with a bunch of expensive products.

I plan on washing when necessary and just blow drying my hair on low heat or even cool after applying whatever hair products would be best. Currently with my natural hair, I just wash, condition, apply leave in, and blue magic before braiding or styling. I deep condition like once a month but I’m a very low maintenance type of hair person.

Any simple advice would be greatly appreciated!

Jury Duty on my Due Date

Uhhhhhh… just got jury summons and of course the date is my literal due date 😂 do they excuse people from even coming in if they’re a month away from delivering a baby??? What do I even do? I really wanna be a juror on a case but obviously, that’s not something I can do at this point in my life!

Remote Job Ideas for SAHM

Remote Job Options for SAHM

Hi all, what are some good job options for a pregnant SAHM with 2 toddlers. I need something with minimal meetings because of the toddlers. Once I get a couple paychecks I’ll be able to put them in daycare. I also have a degree in accounting. The job does not have to be in accounting, just thought I’d include it!

How Do You Do Post Bath Routine?

I’ve loosened/“broken” at least 4 toilet seats because I sit on the toilet seat and have my toddlers stand on a step stool while I lotion and dress them or even wipe their butts. I’m 7 months pregnant so can’t do a lot of bending or I’ll be dealing with heartburn, also can’t sit on the floor and lotion /dress them because sitting on the floor while pregnant has given me sciatica pain in the past.

We stay in an apartment so maintenance can easily come in and tighten up the seats but my husband is getting pissed about it happening repeatedly. The first 3 incidents happened when we were living with my in-laws so we had to pay for a new seat once and the other 2 incidents, the seat just needed to be tightened.

I genuinely cannot think of another solution so I’m going to ask reddit and also ask my husband for suggestions.

Attempted Break-In

Somebody attempted to break in to my ‘16 pilot last night. You can see 3 obvious hits. However my apartment complex is very busy so they probably had to move on. Is this normal?? Should it take so many hits to break in? Were they just a rookie? Or is this exceptional glass? I’m irritated about this because I’m a mom and pregnant so I don’t have time for silly stuff like this, I need my car. The closest grocery is at least 15 minutes away, closest hospital is 20 minutes. My husband does have a car however we only have car seats in my car so if mine gets stolen we’re SOL.

Starving but Don’t Wanna Eat

Does anyone else feel like they’re just stuffing their face??? Like I’m SOOOO hungry but when it’s time to actually eat, I hate doing it. Going through the motions of chewing and everything is annoying. Then everything just tastes weird and nasty. I’m lucky enough to have not had morning sickness at all, it just feels like my food aversions are spreading to every category/flavor of food. Even smoothies feel like a hassle to drink and if I think about how thick it is while I’m drinking it, it’ll come back up! The joys of being pregnant 😂🙃

Edit: I’m 26 weeks +6 so basically 27 weeks. At the very end of the 2nd trimester.

Lost My Pregnancy Partner

My friend lost her baby, she was around 21-22 weeks and I’m currently 25 weeks. We both have 2 toddlers who are close in age so us being pregnant together for the third time just felt like fate and it was so nice to have someone to share the struggle with. She posted that she lost her baby and I just feel so sad and I don’t know how to handle this or even what to say to her. I feel my pregnancy and/or third child will be triggering for her in the future. I don’t even know what I’m posting on here for, I don’t have anyone else to talk to about this because everybody’s asleep. What do I do or say? Should I distance myself so that I don’t trigger her? I feel so terrible…

▲ 228 r/Marriage

I’m currently 5 months pregnant (22 weeks) and we have two toddlers (3.5 and 2). So yeah… I’m exhausted all the time.

Recently I started watching a documentary about “Nature Boy” on Hulu. It was short, so then I found an older, super long series about him on YouTube (like 40 parts, 30 minutes each). I’ve mostly just been playing it in the background while cleaning, driving, cooking, etc.

My husband has mentioned multiple times that I should try watching or reading things that align more with my goals or help me move toward starting a career. He brought it up again recently, and I figured… okay, maybe I should actually try to take that advice seriously this time.

So I decided to stop listening to the documentary until I found something more “educational” or productive to put on instead.

But then the next time we got in the car, he got annoyed that I didn’t play the documentary. I told him why, and now he’s saying I “took it personally” and that he never told me to stop watching it.

Now I’m confused because I thought I was literally doing what he’s been encouraging me to do this whole time… and he’s upset about it??

Was he secretly more into the documentary than I was? 😂 I genuinely don’t know what to think or do here.
