A sincere request from the moderators to all FT members — NO SPOILERS
Hey everyone,
Just a small request to the community.
With a highly anticipated movie releasing tomorrow, I'd really appreciate it if we could keep this sub completely spoiler-free for a while.
A lot of people genuinely try their best to avoid spoilers, but not everyone has the chance to watch the movie on opening weekend. Whether it's because of work, studies, money, or simply not having a theatre nearby, everyone deserves to experience those big moments for themselves.
Please be considerate. Don't put spoilers in post titles, comments, memes, or images without properly marking them. It only takes a few seconds to use spoiler tags, but it can save someone else's experience.
Let's show a little empathy and make this a community where everyone can enjoy the film at their own pace.
Thanks, and enjoy the movie!
Is there any psychedelic culture in Ladakh, or is that just a tourist myth?
I'm planning a trip to Ladakh and was curious about something I've seen mentioned online.
I know the Himalayas are often associated with spirituality, and some regions (like parts of Himachal) have a reputation for cannabis culture. But what about psychedelics in Ladakh?
I'm not asking where to find anything or how to buy it. I'm only interested in understanding the local culture and history.
Have psychedelics ever been part of traditional Ladakhi or Tibetan Buddhist practices?
Is there any local folklore or historical use of psychoactive plants or mushrooms?
Or is the whole "Himalayas = psychedelics" idea mostly something brought in by backpackers and tourists?
I'd especially love to hear from Ladakhi locals, people who've lived there for a long time, or anyone familiar with the region's history and culture.
Thanks!
Bro wants to gatekeep his father from Sexual content. How the fuck did you think you're born broo.😂😂
How many of you are watching House of the Dragon? 🐉

Mods here — just wanted to see how many people in the community are currently following HOTD.
Personally, I loved Season 1, hated Season 2, but I’m really enjoying Season 3 so far. It got me wondering how many of you are watching it and whether there’s enough interest for us to have regular HOTD discussions here.
Would you guys be interested in episode discussion threads, character discussions, theories, memes, or just general GOT/HOTD conversations?
Drop your thoughts below. How are you liking the show so far, and would you like to see more HOTD discussions on the sub?
Alright hear me out. Prabhas wouldve redeemed himself 1000%. If he choose Venkatesh maha over the third class director Maruthi. Share your opinion in the comments

Read this article. Govardhan babu story. They say it is a actor from well known family and the date is 2004 not 2014(changed for legal issues) . But as far as I know he was having a good run at the BO in that time period unlike the article mentioned. What do you guys think let's have a discussion

Looking to Buy Good Quality Plain T-Shirts in Bulk (for business) in Hyderabad – Any Leads?
Hi everyone,
I'm looking to buy plain T-shirts in Hyderabad and would appreciate any recommendations for reliable suppliers, wholesalers, or manufacturers.
Requirements:
Plain cotton or cotton-blend T-shirts
180–240 GSM (looking for a thicker, premium feel)
Sizes S–XXL
Good stitching and fabric quality
Around 20–40 pieces initially (with potential for larger repeat orders if quality is good)
Custom printing/branding options would be a bonus
If you've personally worked with any vendors or know good wholesale markets/suppliers in Hyderabad, please share your experience, pricing, and contact details if possible.
Thanks in advance! 🙏

My first thoughts on the Dragon trailer: Vote your answer
Every other shot looks AI-generated… apart from the obviously AI-generated shots. I can’t fully pinpoint why it feels this way, but the entire look and feel of the trailer feels totally different from normal cinematic footage.
My guesses are:
Lack of motion blur
High frame rate look
Flat lighting
Strange color grading
Something about it gives this overly clean, game-engine / AI-gen feeling that looks really odd, especially on a bigger screen. It almost feels synthetic even in shots that are probably real.
Again, I can’t exactly explain what’s causing it — these are just my guesses — but the visual texture of the trailer feels “off” in a way I haven’t noticed this strongly before.
Anyone else felt this?
Different Endings in Tamil & Telugu Cinema. Is It Audience Preference or Industry Culture?

I’ve noticed an interesting pattern while watching Tamil and Telugu versions/remakes of the same films.
A few examples:
* *Gharshana* / *Kaakha Kaakha* — Jyotika’s character dies in the Tamil version, but Asin’s character survives in the Telugu version.
* *Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa* / *Ye Maaya Chesave* — Jessie marries someone else and asks Karthik to move on. The ending feels emotionally unresolved and bittersweet.
* *Rowthiram* (Jiiva–Shriya movie) — Shriya’s character dies in Tamil, but in Telugu she survives.
* *Temper* — NTR eventually gets a heroic payoff and personally kills the villains after being proven innocent.
* *Ayogya* (Vishal remake) — the ending is much darker and more realistic. Vishal dies, and only after his death is he proven innocent.
* Even *Tagore* differs from the Tamil original *Ramanaa*, where the hero is actually sentenced to death and hanged.
This made me think:
Do Telugu audiences generally prefer emotionally reassuring endings compared to Tamil audiences?
Because in Tamil cinema, morally grey or painful endings seem more accepted:
* Heroes fail
* Lovers separate
* Main characters die
* Justice is incomplete or emotionally uncomfortable
But Telugu commercial cinema often seems to prefer:
* emotional closure
* heroic redemption
* audience satisfaction
* “hero elevation”
Even critically acclaimed films sometimes get altered endings for the Telugu audience.
And interestingly, movies like *Theeran* became major successes in Tamil, while *Khakee* didn’t connect as strongly in Telugu despite being the same film.
So what do you think is the core reason?
* Audience psychology?
* Star culture?
* Fan expectations?
* Distributor pressure?
* Family audience preferences?
* Or just different storytelling traditions between Kollywood and Tollywood?
Not saying one industry is better than the other. Just curious about why these storytelling differences exist so consistently across remakes and dubbed versions.
