Meet The Family
I don't just have Glocks, but they're definitely my favorite to collect! I still want a 17L or a 34, but so far I've got the following:
17
19x
23
40
43
43x
45
48
49
Anybody else picked up the new Glock OEM 15 round mags for the 43X/48 and run into issues?
I originally preordered 2 from Glock Store for my G48, but I picked up a new 43X last weekend and it actually came with the new mags from the factory.
Right away I noticed when chambering a round there was a ton of friction. After testing more, it seems like every round is dragging hard against the bottom of the barrel during feeding, almost like the mag isn’t presenting the round high enough for smooth chambering.
On top of that, I’ve had around 2 dozen failures where the slide stops just short of fully going into battery and I have to smack/palm the slide forward to chamber the round completely.
This is happening with both FMJ and hollow points, and it’s happening with both new mags.
I tested the same mags in my G48 and while I can still feel some drag, the slide never hangs up like it does in the 43X. I also tested my factory 10 rounders and Shield S15 mags and both run perfectly with zero issues.
Anyone else seeing this with the new OEM 15 round mags? Any ideas on what I should be checking?
Picked up a new 43X today and was surprised it came with two 15 round mags. I usually carry a 48 and had already pre ordered a couple of 15 rounders a few months ago.
I have been running S15s since they first dropped and I really like how they feel. That said I was always a bit hesitant to actually carry them since I have had some occasional range issues, so I stuck with the stock 10 round mags.
