When I saved this from the wrecker it was a body ratchet strapped to a suburban frame. I paid scrap value: $400. In 3 weeks I put in an engine, transmission, transfer case, brakes, steering, wheels, tires, windows, and interior. I built it almost completely with spare parts and now I’ve driven it all over the US and Mexico.
They sure bury this thing! It’s in the rear compartment under the BECM which is under the hybrid battery cover under the carpet. You have to hit the whole back half of the car just to DIAGNOSE this thing. New one is installed and battery is charging.
I was really nervous to drill all the holes for the grab bars but managed not to crack any tiles. First time using epoxy grout which took a lot longer than I’m used to but mom won’t be able to seal grout at 82 years old.
I have no IDEA where it came from, the bed is swept and clean. Worth anything?
