In 1946, World War II veterans in a small Tennessee town armed themselves, laid siege to the county jail, and forced a corrupt local government out of power. It is one of the only times in modern American history that citizens took up arms against their own officials and won.

My dad recently passed away, he left me his coffee can of roaches. What’s the best way to use these?

Is it Garbage…

To drink $5 wine from a Christmas wine glass to go along with your bagged Taylor Farms Cesar salad and frozen lasagna when it’s 100 degrees in Texas right now?

That Time the Bird Got a Pic With Patty

We traveled from Texas to see the boys on my birthday at their show at the Met. After the show, we were sorta hanging in the lobby with our fellow garbaggios when we were told to head to the upstairs bar by some random fellow fan.

So, we’re just having a great time shooting the shit with like-minded pieces of garbage when all of a sudden, a wild Bug Man appeared two feet from me. I probably scared the shit out of him when I, a newly 48 year old man, screamed, “FOLEY!” and went to shake his hand and the bird handed him a cute little glass milk carton she got for him. He was super, super kind (as any fan would expect) and took a pic with her and I. He thanked us for coming and was very cordial.

Anyway, we were looking through the pictures we had just taken when an older woman asked if she overheard us say we were from Texas. I immediately recognized her as Foley’s mom!

The bird asked of she could snap a pic and she was more than happy to…or so it seemed. She was sweet as she could be.

10/10 experience.

I was listening to one of my favorite podcasts today and the episode featured Tony Hawk. The podcast was 'Are You Garbage' if it matters. Anyway, I just noticed that almost every pod he's on, he's GREAT! Other than AYG, he's been on: SmartLess, The Nine Club, Blocks with Neal Brennan, The Roman Atwood Podcast, and a bunch of others. He also has his own pod with Jason Ellis.

Tony was one of my heroes growing up and it's cool to see that he's a genuinely nice, friendly, funny guy who doesn't mind making fun of himself and plays along with the jokes.
